Really great service and amazing food!
Made reservations there yesterday for 330pm. I get there for them to tell me that they were closed till 5pm because their kitchen was 'messed up' at the moment. Yet I saw servers still bringing food to tables. No call or email to tell me about their kitchen issues... They wanted me to stay there waiting till 5pm for the kitchen to be "back up"? No thanks.
So-so service; they needed more help.
I love cheeseboat! We’ve been going there for 3 years and never disappoints. Great food and amazing service! If you like cheese this place is a must try!
Great cozy spot in bk for a date or with friends!
As aslways, the food did not disappoint. Delicious as always. We had the classic Cheeseboat, truffle potato purée, stuffed grape leaves, and soup dumplings. We arrived later in the evening (an hour before kitchen closing, so not too late) and felt forgotten about even though we were some of the only people in the restaurant. In fact, our server forgot one of our dishes even though he repeated it back to us 4 times. The other server said he would take care of the forgotten item, but when the check came it was still there. Service was extremely disappointing.
The food is average. The service was extremely unfriendly
The server was very helpful! We loved the food and can’t wait to go back
Great Georgian food. Authentic and beautifully executed. Nice place to bring date too :-)
I really enjoyed Cheesboat! The staff was accommodating and our waiter was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. The food was delicious too. I'll definitely be returning to try some more of their cheeseboats (the honey brie sounded AMAZING).
Excellent comfort food.
Bread and cheese... what more do you need? So delicious, and great wine, too!
The food here was really delicious and unique, I would love to eat it again. However, the service was really disappointing and even though I’m not one to be picky over service, both me and the person I was eating with couldn’t help but be upset over it. Next time I will probably just get my food to go.
My visit at cheeseboat was absolutely mindblowing ! Had their cheeseboat with shrimps and special sauce and it was incredible ! Can not wait to go back there
Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service.
The best option!!
Thank you guys!!
Simply amazing! The food, the place, and the food again! We did brunch: a cheeseboat and a salad, everything was fantastic! The place is surrounded by trees so it gives you a cozy vibe.
We saw this place while we were driving by one day and learned that it was Georgian cuisine. The restaurant had a nice ambience with a simple menu but the food was absolutely delicious and a great value. Definitely recommend trying them out.
The dumplings tasted a little bit weird. The cheeseboat was okay.
Awesome cheesiness, great service, looking forward to going back!
The food was delicious and comfy setting.
We tried their basic cheeseboat. It has nothing to do with a Georgian one except the shape, the cheese is wrong! The taste was ok though. Also khinkali... They didn't meet any expectations unfortunately. The staff was quite nice though but they charge extra percentage for paying by your credit card
The food is amazing, as well as the drinks. However, they had these really harsh, bright ceiling fan lights on that clashed with the ambiance they were going for.
While the food was delicious (I mean what could not be delicious about bread and cheese? - worlds best combo), but it took forever to get served, get the check, etc and the place was mostly empty
Cheeseboat was really good. My only regret was ordering french fries because they just seemed like frozen fries. The cheese boat was tasty enough and large enough to fill two stomachs.
The food was incredible!
The food is FABULOUS!!!
You must experience this food.
Reservation was for 5 pm, when we showed up they were still closed, tried calling no one would pick up the phone, came back at 6 pm they were still closed. The waitress came over to the door unlocked it rolled her eyes and walked away. Ended up going somewhere else. Their own website says they open at 5 and I was able to make a reservation for 5 not sure what the problem was.
The only good thing about our dinner was the service. It was welcoming and quick. BUT the food... First, this place is not authentic Georgian. If you go there, please, don’t think that’s actually Georgian cuisine. I might sound brutal, but it was the worst Georgian food I ever had. Also, the choices are extremely limited. They don’t have some of the most famous tastiest Georgian dishes. Second, the cheeseboat and khachapuri - they make them almost identical, except you have variation of toppings for cheeseboats. It’s basically a TON of CHEAP TASTELESS PLASTIC cheese baked into bread. And no, it’s not khachapuri. I guess it’s just another place that did a successful social media campaign.
Such amazing food and service! Very authentic Georgian cuisine. Will be back!
Son 18th Birthday
Love the place, very creative and delicious.
A must-try if you like cheesy, buttery, high fat food as a treat. It was amazing.
Went to celebrate a cheese lovers birthday. The cheeseboat was everything we had imagined. Lovely, cozy restaurant with helpful and attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back.
This was our second visit to Cheeseboat and every bit as good as the first time. Such a warm inviting atmosphere! The food is a nice change of pace from other ethnic foods and we will return. Our original waiter was quite festive and engaging. Towards the end of dinner, he seemed to disappear, but another server picked for him. Interesting wine selection. You haven't tried this place, give it a shot.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food! They even have gluten-free Cheeseboats! Love this place
Great! Cheesy! Fun!
We've never had Georgian food before, so we were excited to find this restaurant near our accommodations in Brooklyn. The food was excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. There were some difficulties with our server understanding what we were asking for, but we managed to make ourselves clear after a few tries. The music was funky, but played a little bit loudly - it didn't interfere with conversation, but we had to raise our voices a more than a bit to be heard. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Server was not friendly and not helpful. "Eggs Benedict" came with barely a drop of sauce, no seasoning at all. The english muffin it was served on was not toasted, seemed to be microwaved and was floppy and warm. The avocado I requested was brown and inedible. My soda water was completely flat. I could go on about how bad this meal was but you get the point. Mother's day brunch was a joke so on the way home we stopped and got iced coffee (which they don't have nor do they have any milk substitutions) and croissants
because we couldn't eat the food. I wanted to tell the server how bad it was but my fiance just wanted to get the hell out of there.
The cheeseboat tasted like a pizza hut pizza with domino's stuffed crust. There really should not be cheese in the crust to balance out the remainder. We were served 4 pierogi in a portion, except one of them was completely deflated. It was clear that it broke in the pot and they still served it, with only 1/3 of the inner dough remaining. I'm Polish, I know pierogi, and I would not even serve that in my own house. We were also stuffed into the corner in a table where we had to balance our plates on the edge, and could not fit both of our glasses of water. We had to waive the server down for 5-7 minutes and actually yell excuse me to get his attention when we wanted to get the check. It was just an unpleasant experience that left us feeling tired and sick.
It was very noisy!
