The food was excellent otherwise this would be a one star. The waitress was. Not very friendly or helpful. The food came one dish at a time because she thought we wanted to share, she didn’t ask about sharing. One of us went to complain and am the manager said she would come over, never did. Wouldn’t recommend or go there again.
My wife and I visited with a Pulsd voucher. We enjoyed soup dumplings, a leek cheeseboat, a dessert pastry, a Georgian brandy (that may be my new favorite), and a beautiful Georgian bottle of wine. The service was great, being back to dining in an excellent restaurant was great. The whole night was a lot of fun and a return to semi-normal NYC life. I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough.
Such great food! There was no coffee or alcohol available, which was a bummer, but we still really enjoyed our meal.
Georgian cuisine is very interesting and comforting.
The service was abysmal. We specifically asked for our entree to be brought last, and it was brought before our drinks, which took more than 25 minutes. Our server forgot about our appetizers, which took another 45 minutes, and only one came. The item we asked for first came 1.5 hours after sitting down, and it took half an hour to get our check. On top of this, the bill included an 18% service fee which felt like a slap in the face, as we would have left, at most, 5%. We won't be returning.
Amazing amazing food and very sweet wait staff. When we were there, I’m not kidding, there was FOUR different birthdays being celebrated, so I think it’s a favorite spot for a lot of different people. Delicious.
Je suis venue avec mon copain pour un date et on a passé une très bonne soirée, les plats étaient vraiment bons et les serveurs très agréables
Menue totally different from web site. Waiter has idea a out available wines. Very noisy. Dishes delivered randomly. Soup after main dish. Disorganized service.
I literally cannot get enough of this place. Delicious dishes. I have yet to find something I don’t like.
We went during brunch and had the honeycomb Cheeseboat and French toast. Both were delish and quite filling. Great food and service!
Great place for a date! Went for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful time! We had the Brie and walnut cheeseboat which was ridiculously good. We also had the mushroom soups dumplings but were thrown off when there were beef dumplings mixed in (we weren’t eating meat that night and the menu listing didn’t mention meat dumplings coming with the mushroom dumplings). Also split a great bottle of wine. Service was just ok, server only stopped to take our order and bring our food but then kind of forgot about us. A bit overpriced but we enjoyed our time.
Really great service and amazing food!
Made reservations there yesterday for 330pm. I get there for them to tell me that they were closed till 5pm because their kitchen was 'messed up' at the moment. Yet I saw servers still bringing food to tables. No call or email to tell me about their kitchen issues... They wanted me to stay there waiting till 5pm for the kitchen to be "back up"? No thanks.
So-so service; they needed more help.
I love cheeseboat! We’ve been going there for 3 years and never disappoints. Great food and amazing service! If you like cheese this place is a must try!
Great cozy spot in bk for a date or with friends!
As aslways, the food did not disappoint. Delicious as always. We had the classic Cheeseboat, truffle potato purée, stuffed grape leaves, and soup dumplings. We arrived later in the evening (an hour before kitchen closing, so not too late) and felt forgotten about even though we were some of the only people in the restaurant. In fact, our server forgot one of our dishes even though he repeated it back to us 4 times. The other server said he would take care of the forgotten item, but when the check came it was still there. Service was extremely disappointing.
The food is average. The service was extremely unfriendly
The server was very helpful! We loved the food and can’t wait to go back
Great Georgian food. Authentic and beautifully executed. Nice place to bring date too :-)
I really enjoyed Cheesboat! The staff was accommodating and our waiter was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. The food was delicious too. I'll definitely be returning to try some more of their cheeseboats (the honey brie sounded AMAZING).
Excellent comfort food.
Bread and cheese... what more do you need? So delicious, and great wine, too!
The food here was really delicious and unique, I would love to eat it again. However, the service was really disappointing and even though I’m not one to be picky over service, both me and the person I was eating with couldn’t help but be upset over it. Next time I will probably just get my food to go.
My visit at cheeseboat was absolutely mindblowing ! Had their cheeseboat with shrimps and special sauce and it was incredible ! Can not wait to go back there
Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service.
The best option!!
Thank you guys!!
Simply amazing! The food, the place, and the food again! We did brunch: a cheeseboat and a salad, everything was fantastic! The place is surrounded by trees so it gives you a cozy vibe.
We saw this place while we were driving by one day and learned that it was Georgian cuisine. The restaurant had a nice ambience with a simple menu but the food was absolutely delicious and a great value. Definitely recommend trying them out.
The dumplings tasted a little bit weird. The cheeseboat was okay.
Awesome cheesiness, great service, looking forward to going back!
Awful! Plain and simple…
The food was delicious and comfy setting.
We tried their basic cheeseboat. It has nothing to do with a Georgian one except the shape, the cheese is wrong! The taste was ok though. Also khinkali... They didn't meet any expectations unfortunately. The staff was quite nice though but they charge extra percentage for paying by your credit card
The food is amazing, as well as the drinks. However, they had these really harsh, bright ceiling fan lights on that clashed with the ambiance they were going for.
While the food was delicious (I mean what could not be delicious about bread and cheese? - worlds best combo), but it took forever to get served, get the check, etc and the place was mostly empty
Cheeseboat was really good. My only regret was ordering french fries because they just seemed like frozen fries. The cheese boat was tasty enough and large enough to fill two stomachs.
The food was incredible!
The food is FABULOUS!!!
You must experience this food.
Reservation was for 5 pm, when we showed up they were still closed, tried calling no one would pick up the phone, came back at 6 pm they were still closed. The waitress came over to the door unlocked it rolled her eyes and walked away. Ended up going somewhere else. Their own website says they open at 5 and I was able to make a reservation for 5 not sure what the problem was.
