Cheech & Peppe's
Best pizza on the UES. Thin crust wood oven fired. Delicious!
i have been going here twice aweek for the past 8 weeks. the restaurant just got their liquor license. i didn't know, so i brought a bottle of wine which our server promptly opened. i was then informed of the corkage fee. i asked to speak to the manager to discuss the corkage fee being waived only this time because we were regulars. he informed me that he had never seen me at the restaurant before despite the fact that the waiters all knew me. i paid the corkage fee and promptly left, never to return. prior to this experience i really liked the food at this restaurant.
We remember fondly that Al Forno was the restaurant in this space before Cheech and Peppe's. Al Forno was much, much better. Though our server tried hard, he couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food. Even the bread was stale and had to be toasted before it was served. Toasted Italian bread in an Italian restaurant? We will not be returning.
Food hit the right spot. Best Italian on the UES and not over priced line Elios. We have been here over 10 times since we discovered it.
Great service. I think our waiter’s name was Taylor. Food was very good. My only knock is that they didn’t have their liquor license yet so bring your adult beverages with. Great location and cool decor.
When it opened it was a good ,casual pizza. pasta restaurant. It is slipping and not very good anymore.Too bad...the neighborhood can really use a good ,casual place!
Always great every time we dine there. A gem of an Italian restaurant.
tha food is mediocre. It is full of screaming kids. Unbearable, believe me! It is dark and not attractive. Waire was a nice guy
Food is very good, service is good and very attentive
This restaurant is a great addition to the yes neighborhood 😋
Good neighborhood spot. Pizza was quite good. Chicken Parm was fine (not quite as good as Al Forno's, which was in this spot before Cheech & Peppe's opened). Restaurant was packed - wishing them well.
The pizzas and salads were delicious. Can highly recommend the Cheech & Peppe's pizza, it has everything on it and the crust is still crisp. The cheese and spinach and the cheese and mushrooms pizzas were almost as good. They both needed a little less cheese and a little more spinach/ mushroom. The cheese was a little too much too keep the crust from getting a little soft. The salads were huge. The house salad and the Caesar salads were more than enough to share with 2 or 3 people. The desserts were over the top. Will definitely leave you in a food coma! Be for warned they haven't gotten their liquor license yet. But there is a liquor/wine shop across the street!
