Consistently great in all aspects. Drinks, wine, food, service and desserts.
Fabulous food...great waiter...
Incredible combination of flavors in a vert exciting lively place
Food was good overall, except the summer squash and sausage pizza were way too spicy. The crostata for dessert was awesome though!
Great food. Nothing too surprising here — seasonal, delicious Italian. Pretty expensive.
Still probably one of the best restaurants going in SF. Late reservations tend to not get as good of services as is with most restaurants
Good food, way to noisy. Bad thumping music. Tables too close Long wait for entree
Food was so spicy~ I will never return.
The food was wonderful. The context was downright bizarre. The 4 of us all had to order at the same time, no way they'd let us order an appetizer for the table while we mulled over the rest of the menu. The waiter seemed more like a guard in a prison and we'd better not break the rules - not exactly a relaxing, peaceful dinner. The noise level was off the charts.
Overall, the food is good. Areas of improvement would be food temperature and the pace at which the dishes arrive. There was too much time between dishes.
Food was fantastic.
8 different dishes for 4 people.
Wine was on the pricey.
Excellent food. We always try to score a table here when we visit San Francisco. The salmon crudo and the burrata never disappoint. Can’t wait to come back and try more of Che Fico’s delicious dishes.
Great food and great ambiance!
Trendy restaurant! MUST HAVE A RESERVATION! The chopped salad was the BEST tasting salad I have ever tasted! Good wine selection. Servers were friendly and efficient (very knowledgeable and helpful in making menu decisions). MUST DO DINING EXPERIENCE.
Food was incredible and the service was really really wonderful (from everyone we interacted with).
Good food; very accommodating service. Great atmosphere. Fun and vibrant.
I had dinner at Che Fico during two days of solo travel to SF. The food was absolutely excellent: very filling and rich and flavorful. The selection of salumi and the fig leaf ice cream were wonderful appetizers and desserts.
The best part of my experience was the attentive and friendly service. I was able to chat with one of the bartenders during my meal who, as this was my first trip to SF, wrote me a long list of things I should see and do during my time here.
The one caveat I have is that I was seated at the bar. I would recommend avoiding bar seating if you can, as the ambiance is not quite as nice as the more dimly lit, table and counter seats, and it can get quite busy around the bar while guests wait for their tables. Otherwise, overall an excellent experience. I look forward to coming back!
The food was great! Everything that we ordered was delish (burrata, chopped salad, pesto pasta, bolognese, and mushroom pizza). The service was a little disappointing though, they are very high maintenance about the ordering process and our server was very nice but she rarely came by to check on us through the meal for refreshing our plates or drinks.
One of best restaurants in SF
The food was exceptional good
Our server was pleasant and helpful, but all others unnecessarily rude. Food pretty good, but the room was way, way too loud. High ceilings with no sound dampeners and very loud music made basic conversation difficult. There are too many other wonderful restaurants in the City to make me want to go back there.
Wonderful atmosphere and great service!
We love the food and service. The music is way too loud. Can’t hear my dinner companions.
The food was good but not beyond good as we expected. The portions were small for the price. Wine list was very expensive.
Great food, great service
CHE FICO consistently is one of the best dining experiences in the Bay Area: exceptional service (hospitable and extremely knowledgeable); inventive and delicious flavors with perfect execution; and a festive beautiful atmosphere. I LOVE it!
Nice ambiance and service. Food is beautiful and most of the dishes we had were delicious. A bit pricey for what it is but would return
The perfect SF place!!
Poor vegetarian options
Wow!!!! Service and food amazing
It is a very lovely place in the Divisadero very good food and the atmosphere is great. I only suggest that eat at this place like on a special occasion because it is kind of pricey but the food is great.
Great Friday night dinner spot ... we were seated at the bar ... tuna conserva was outstanding ... the tagliatelle al ragu might been been a little dry but was paired perfectly with a Cascina Fontana 2014 Barolo ... the whole rockfish was light yet satisfying ... nice conversations at the bar ... good service!
Everything was really lovely. The service, the energy, the decor the food was really really good.
A few minor comments for the restaurant, but Keep in mind I give this place a 9/10
1) The Tiramisu was dry for me, a bit over thought and didn’t deliver the same elegance as the rest of the meal. The cake layers could be more moist and the bland whipped cream seemed basic.
2) The sourdough croutons in the tomato salad were too big and impossible to cut—even with a knife. The house focaccia would have made a much better crouton. I also thought it was a bit over priced for the portion size.
The staff was lovely and knowledgeable. The food had passion in every bite. It’s loud but it makes you feel alive. Loved this meal!
Amazing food, wine, seating and waiter!! Everything was fantastic. I went home in the most delightful food coma. The chopped salad had many wonderful ingredients, summer squash, pasta and don't forget dessert YUM!! Everything we ordered tasted and looked great in presentation. Can't wait to go back!!
Che Fico has a great ambiance and food/drink, but getting a seat there can put a damper on things. Even if you make a reservation and show up on time, they take about 30 minutes to seat you after checking you in. Reservations are hard enough to get there and often you end up taking really late reservation slots, so the restaurant should do a better job actually seating customers when they arrive on time.
Will definitely be back. The food was outstanding and the ambiance was super cool. Loved the entire experience from start to finish. Perfect for a weekday night or romantic date night. Worth the wait for the reservation.
Omg...scrumptious! Make sure to leave room for dessert.
The food was good, but expensive for what it was. My wife’s dinner came 20 minutes before my daughter’s and 30 minutes before mine. An F in choreography. Acknowledging the delay, our server gave us 3 almond cookies; a nice gesture, but poor order management in the kitchen.
Phenomenal service and amazing food - such a wonderful evening!!
Lucked out with a last minute reservation for 6:15 on a Saturday night for counter seating. We were promptly seated with menus at a bar height counter facing the window/street which ended up being better than sitting at the actual counter because we had more elbow room and found it intimate for a busy/noisy restaurant. We were greeted by a server who provided menu explanations and suggestions. The pacing of the courses was relaxed. Some might consider it slow service but we didn’t ever feel ignored nor were we wondering where our food was. All servers were friendly but nonintrusive. The food was excellent. Very high quality seasonal ingredients prepared thoughtfully. Well seasoned but never masked. It’s loud but because we were seated next to each other we were able to chat comfortably. It was a nice table for a date night. We aren’t communal table people so we were glad to get the window counter table for two. We had the tomato salad that was AMAZINGLY delicious, agnolotti was yummy, lamb loin cooked perfectly and complemented with watercress and crispy potatoes. It was a lot of food but we are big eaters. Most people would probably prefer a half order of the pasta. We also had the crispy pasta as a little snack before our meal arrived and those were like crispy chicharrones. Tasty and addictive. They could package those. Desserts were equally delicious. We had the tiramisu and gelato. A snack, salad, pasta, entree, and desserts for two people was $130 before tip. We didn’t have any beverages. Would definitely return.
