Food was outstanding. Really enjoyed waiting so long to get in to try this restaurant.
Think the food will always be new but the basic ingredients are wonderful.
Look forward to many more visits.

Food was outstanding - two standouts were the burrata with pomegranates and the grilled beef heart skewers. Interesting cocktails, buzzy atmosphere. We look forward to returning!

Amazing place, but we didn’t have the best experience. Our 8:30 reservation wasn’t sat until after 9pm. Once we ordered, all of our food was delivered within a 15 minute window, so several of the dishes were enjoyed cold and without proper wine pairing. Our server disappeared about 1/2 way through our dinner and we left feeling a little disappointed about our visit.

This loud and very busy restaurant lived up to the hype. Service was outstanding! We loved every dish including foccacia, sourdough with burrata, an incredible chopped salad, tagliatelle, and a pasta with California wild fennel. Everything is served family style; I wish we’d gone as a group so we could try more dishes. The flavors are strong in a good way. There were no bland dishes. I didn’t have to ask for salt or pepper. For dessert we shared 2 scoops of excellent and refreshing sorbet flavors. After the meal we were each given a lovely chunk of juicy persimmon dusted with some red spices that complemented the sweetness of the fruit.

Food was amazing ambiance is a lot of fun loud music loved it! fun place for groups! beautiful restaurant can't wait to go back. Had the best bolognese of my life, the pizza was divine. Run dont walk to this restaurant! If you don't like loud music and good food, probably best to avoid!

The service was great. Our appetizers and cocktails were great. The pasta was great—Really great. The cod was not great. It was not even good. But they did the right thing and took it off the check. Overall it was a good meal; next time I’d skip the Secondi and eat more pasta.

We were excited to get a reservation at this highly sought after San Francisco restaurant. I had requested a private table but we instead were sat less than 6 inches from another 2 top and 4 top on either side. Very awkward for conversation. The family style menu is hard to understand. The waitress made us feel like we didn't order enough but we couldn't finish all that we did order. The burrata was the star of the meal and is a must order! Seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. Also had a chopped salad that was so-so and a pretty good pizza. Lots of other good looking menu items. Cool spot but definitely no personal space and better suited as a bar hang out more so than an intimate dinner. Still enjoyed a unique meal

A Lovely space, great drinks and unfortunately every dish was extremely, I mean extremely salty and it took a lot away from the experience.

Food was very disappointing. Nothing delicious or inventive. From roasted vegetable salad that was almost inedible to white truffle gnocchi that was good but $65 a serving. Amazing that it is so popular.

My pasta was super salty. Counter sitting means you are going to smell like fried food . Not only you but my super fancy jacket. I did not like my desert Buba

Overall not impressed food was ok service was poor evening started with hostess telling us we had to leave within 2 hours. Nice space but don’t get the hype. Try A16 instead

We had a radicchio salad. Superb and huge. Rabbit ragu, fantastic pasta, ragu very good. Porchetta outstanding. Bottles on the wine list start at about $60 and frankly both overpriced and pretentious for some ordinary at best wines. Very busy, even at 5:45 and and I can see why. Not a quiet place. We look forward to going back with friends.

The service was extremely rude. Will not go back. The server pretty much kicked us out while eating our food. That kinda ruins your experience. Our waitress, Whitney, had terrible attitude right after we were seated. Asked for her manager. The manager was like "yeah i need to turn tables, so if you want your food to go that's fine", and she pretty much refused to give us a dessert menu. Don't recommend this place.

Pasta was very good, but way overpriced. Chicken isn't worth ordering. Our waiter gave us our bill before we got our dessert. Not good. Tiramisu was disappointing. 90% was cream.Had better tiramisu at an Italian restaurant in San Carlos.

Love the food. We got rather spotty service because it seemed no one person was following our table. After getting our first ordered food before drinks and then having to ask once or twice about the rest of the food we found the service less than expected. Food was great noise level impossible to carry on a conversation

A rustic ambiance with cocktails to die for and dishes to match. Menu changes based on the season and ingredient availability, but rest assured, your meal will be a memorable one! Highly recommend.

First time here. Outstanding menu choices - and everything we had was wonderful. Sitting at the counter was a 'chef's table' with a great view of salad and dessert preparation - a treat.

Food was good but was expecting more of a standout from all the rave reviews and press. There was a good bit of time between come courses and not others. We were offered dessert before our main course arrived at which point I’m sure our waiter put in the order for it so there was at least a 30 minute wait for our entree.

A lovely, fun evening on our first time dining at Che Fico. So excited and lucky to get a same day reservation at the counter! Loved the food, atmosphere and everyone was friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back.

Food was very good. Service was fine. But really loud. No need to blast music over sound system in that space.

Food is excellent but service staff seem overwhelmed

Yet again, the suppli were all that my inner child wished for at first bite. The stuffed pasta had an earthiness that reminded us slightly of pate which was perfect for the cold night outside. Cocktail menu was refreshed but thankfully the tamarindo was still there and to my fellow diners- DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR DESSERTS. All hail Pinkerton, first of her name, queen of the pastry, babka and tarts of the first men.

Food was good but the restaurant is very loud and the tables are very close together, literally, less than an inch apart. Ambience is terrible. Nothing attractive about the decor. Not sure why it’s so hard to get a reservation. Perhaps just because it’s new. Prefer Flour and Water or Cotogna.
