Chaz on the Plaza
We were celebrating our anniversary and our waitress Casandra brought us champagne with our dessert which was a nice touch. We ordered from the Valentines Day menu which was a great deal, four courses for $50.00. We enjoyed the music and the ambiance and will be back.
All staff were incredible and very nice. Loved the A La Mode trio as well. Will definitely be back.
Chaz has always been a great place to eat! A wonderful experience every time!
The Chaz on the Plaza was an absolutely magical experience. The food was amazing, the waitress was pleasant and sincere, and the atmoshepere was ramtically sweet. My friends, wife, and I sat a d talked for hours. 10/10 best restaurant in Kansas city
We were seated by the corner that every server had to navigate for kitchen entry, several near misses of run ins made the 2 hours we were there uncomfortable. The bread was a disappointment. Crab cake and the evening 4 course special was delicious but extremely slow in coming
Always enjoy the atmosphere and the service. The food was okay on this visit and much better than the previous visit. The quality of the food did not live up to the prices this visit or last, which was such a disappointment as the restaurant has been our favorite for 25 or more years.
We had the best waiter and the food was excellent! We will be back!
Food was good, service was top notch. I know they want seats, but they really shouldn't sit people right at the server station entrance. All evening someone was going in or out hitting us with the curtain.
We were very pleased with the food, service, food and service.
Brunch was very good, except not fans of the potato cake. All other food and drink, wonderful!
Chaz is always the best choice for an easy like Sunday morning dining experience.
I had the special which was 6 lamb chops The lamb chops were amazing. My wife had the club. She thought it was pretty good also. We had calamari for an appetizer, and it was probably one of the best calamari appetizers I ever had.
High price for the food and service. I ordered Crab Wellington, felt like it was more of an appetizer than a meal. Would not go back based on the food.
My wife and I found this to be a very enjoyable place to dine. The food was outstanding. I had the Crab Wellington. It was served with a red sauce that was excellent.
This was my first ever experience dining at Chaz on the Plaza. Everything from the service, to the food and atmosphere was exquisite. The Steak Diane is probably the best steak I've ever had and the attention to every detail was second to none. I can't wait to return when the weather is warm to enjoy a lovely Sunday jazz brunch on the patio.
Great restaurant with an execellent staff and good menu selection. When staying at the Raphael, Chaz on the Plaza is a convient place to get an enjoyable meal especially in the winter months. Will definitely go there again.
Great food, our waiter was awesome. Great atmosphere for our 40th Anniversary.
Food OK but not for the price
Desert definitely below expected
Went there for the live music but were seated as far from it as possible
Love going here for special occasions or just for their burger. The prime rib on Sundays is wonderful.
Eat here quite frequently, always on point. I like the new changes on the menu. Had the breakfast sandwich it was really good. Should keep some a la carte side items though. I was able to order a potato crisp to go with my sandwich even though it was not listed on the menu. Parents enjoyed their brunch too
The food was divine, our waitress was fantastic, and the jazz was relaxing. We will be back!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The seafood was outstanding and my husband's steak was full of flavor and excellent. Great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere with live Jazz music.
Mauricio was our waiter and was very professional and kind!
Mentioned what we were celebrating. Enjoyed our evening
The meal was superb, service was excellent and atmosphere was perfect.
Wonderful music and brunch.
Checked out Chaz for Restaurant Week. While my husband was disappointed with the Restaurant Week Menu selection, I thought it was fantastic! He ended up ordering the steak (off regular menu) anyway, and really enjoyed it! I ordered the smoked tomato bisque, shrimp & grits, and S’more bread pudding. The dessert wasn’t my favorite but fun to try. The soup and shrimp & grits were delicious! Service and ambiance were both delightful, even on a busy Saturday night during Restaurant Week! We will definitely be back!
We went to Chaz during Restaurant Week and were somewhat disappointed. The food was good but not great, and not in line with the price point. Service was very attentive, almost too much so. Will not go back.
Always enjoy dinner and surroundings at Chaz. Service was good and food was good as expected.
Fantastic food at a great location! I came from KC restaurant week during lunch on Sunday, and noticed that they also have a good brunch menu.
Brought me the wrong entree, but corrected the mistake quickly. Food was great, although the portions could have been more generous.
First time visit, Restaurant Week 2019, seating was cozy and would be nice for a date. Pleasant surrounding with comfortable seating. Restaurant Week menu selection was very nice and the food and service were impressive. Plan on coming back to often to take advantage of the full menu with my foodie friends. Very much enjoyed the sauce on the bread pudding, rich and delicate the same time.
The shrimp and grits was very good. The tomato bisque soup was delicious. The servers were very attentive! The calamari was a great appetizer.
Fabulous service. Great food and wine. Will return soon!
I checked out Chaz on the Plaza for resturant week; it was tasty! I had the smoked tomato bisque garnished with paprika popcorn and chive oil and the Chaz shrimp & grits with smoked Argentinian red shrimp and cheddar grits, charred pickled scallion and red onion relish, with a tomato and herb salad. Then tried the s'more bread pudding with graham cracker crusted vanilla pudding, warm chocolate cream, and toasted marshmallow for dessert. (The shrimp and grits definitely need to be on the menu all time!)
We had a very nice waiter, Mauricio! ThT was the only good part. The entire thing was a joke..Salad on a literal, saucer. Not even a handful,of greens, tomatoes and cucumber frozen. Literally frozen. Tasteless. Would not come back. Trying to offer a special for Restaurant week, and it was just a joke. It’s not a special if you literally just cut out everything. I am one who always believes servings in restaurants are too large, but this was a true joke. Boring atmosphere, not even any background music. Very sad dinner. Laughable through.
Very good food and although not vegetarian, I chose meatless stuffed pepper and excellent. There was not much lag between courses which could be good or bad depending on time you have.
Enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu...
Beef was tender and flavorful,
My partner enjoyed the Stuffed Red Pepper...
The chive oil on the bisque was extra yumminess...
But the Smore Bread Pudding desert was fabulous and should be on the regular menu!!
We came for Restaurant week. the food however left something to be desired(unlike when we have been before) the Steak Diane was a pitifully small portion and the beef was a bit tough and not cooked as ordered. The plate consisted of 5 bite sized pieces. Two of the people had the mac & cheese which tasted as though it had been under warming lights for a long time. It was extremely dry. I hope the friends we brought for their first visit will give Chaz another try as that evening the restaurant was well below its normal standard.
I attended Chaz on the Plaza during restaurant week. The service was great! Server was knowledgeable, helpful, and did not rush us with ordering. The food was a little overpriced for the quality (Ordered a steak, salad, and dessert). Also, the wine was overpriced, but they do have a nice selection to choose from. Probably a nice stop if you are staying in the hotel, but if you have an extra 10-20 minutes, venture onto the plaza for better food at a cheaper price.
We dined during the Sunday Jazz brunch and ordered from the restaurant week menu. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the food. The tomato bisque was spectacular, as was the stuffed red pepper. My husband said the Steak Diane was extremely tender and delicious. Plus, we finished our meal by sharing the Smores Bread pudding and it was spectacular! Also really appreciated the free valet parking! Thanks for the great meal!
Loved the shrimp & grits. My wife has steak Diane. Both were absolutely wonderful. Never had anything we didn't enjoy anytime we have dined at Chaz.
