We had a wonderful time here. The only small issue was that we didn’t get seated at the time of our reservation. We asked for a particular area and to no fault of the restaurant, the people who looked as if they were leaving took an extra half hour. We were fine though and actually saved a little money by having cocktails at the bar vs our table since the bar had happy hour! The food was amazing! We tried a bunch of different things. The pork belly and the Paella we my favorite part of dinner but the bread pudding for desert was AMAZING!!! So much more on the menu to explore. Our son wanted clams and unfortunately there were none on the menu but the manager quickly reacted and had some made since they have them in stock for the paella. I think he was trying to make us happy after the long wait, but that’s exactly what any good business should do so great job!! For 4 adults and one hungry child (8), our bill was $200 which I personally thought was great considering all the dishes we ordered. I will be back soon and recommend you to visit!

This has been my go to restaurant for 21 years in Venice. Not only reliable but I think my last visit was the best ever. Excellent food and service.

I took two friends from out of town. I had not been there for many years. Everything, especially the food, was better than I remembered.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful meal for Valentines Day. Robert was our server and it was a busy night. We got lost in conversation and another course would appear. We were not in a hurry. Finally the dessert showed up late, we were still not unhappy. The atmosphere, food and the very well trained staff made for a very good evening. The staff apologized for delaying even comping a meal, we had not uttered a complaint. They were very apologetic and nice welcoming us back again. We will definitely be coming back.

Went for Valentine's Day and unfortunately their service was definitely not up to par. The kitchen definitely didn't have a handle on the volume. Issues in planning perhaps....steak came out Luke warm and had to be sent back. Came back Luke warm again. Didn't bother sending back again. Waiter was good and tried his best but problem was in the kitchen.

Terrible service. Slow to bring drinks, food. Didn’t refill water, didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks. Asked twice for check. Meals and drinks were very slow. Wouldn’t recommend for any occasion.

We met friends on a Monday night, so the restaurant was quiet. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The food, not memorable. I don't feel we need to go back to Chaya. We all thought the portions were not very generous, and that the found was nothing out of the ordinary, yet the prices were very high. The best dish was the paella probably, but again it was really a small amount of food for $38.00.

I loved this restaurant for over 20 years but they changed the menu and chef in the last couple of months and I do not think it works any more as a wonderful staple you can always go to. No healthy non fried veggies, no simple chicken and only one fish option as a main course. I would love to see their old menu back.

Unfortunately, the new concept just is not working out. We used to eat there all the time. Gave up on it two years ago when they switched concept and the food went down hill. Tried again this past weekend. Just as disappointing. Too bad. It is one of those situation when the menu items descriptions look so good and just does not taste so good. It is not awful, but it is definitely not good.

Unfortunately this restaurant has changed hands and is no longer the same Chaya Venice that we have known and loved for 15 years.
Different menu, redesign and pretty awful food. We were charged twice for two items, which they finally removed. We had 4 glasses of wine in total and the bill “only” came to $500.000. On the way home my husband and I both said to each other what an unfortunate and embarrassing experience to occur in front of special clients who are real “foodies”

Food and staff were amazing! The wine selection and white Sangria was superb! Marsha was a super server with a sweet hospitable demeanor! I would most definitely visit again they had the tastiest yellowtail and some very unique menu items! Highly recommend!

I eat here with clients for lunch several times a year and it NEVER disappoints!! Food is always beautifully plated and of top quality/taste. Service is always attentive. A true gem!!

We have been coming to Chaya for many, many years. We were a party of 6, with one 4 year old. It was Sunday night before MLK holiday. Our waiter has only been with Chaya for 1 month. The service was slow. We are spoiled and used to our OVER THE TOP SERVICE here. Missing all of our favorite people, where did you all go??? Two of us ate the flat iron steak, T-bone unavailable. It was great! Scallop risotto very good. Sushi/Sashimi, very good. Everyone was trying to help each other out with the short amount of wait staff.

The happy hour cocktails and bites were great. some items like a grilled octopus salad were tastier on the happy hour menu than the regular menu. We tried oysters, grilled calamari, sushi. All were good. The two items that were a total miss were two sides: organic grilled mushrooms and shishito peppers. The peppers were mostly too hot. Usually they are more flavorful and less spicy. And mushrooms were absolutely tasteless, as if the chef forgot to add any condiments to them. Overall, I enjoyed the place. It had a nice decor and cozy atmosphere.
