   We are huge fans of Chavez in Capitol Hill for it's great menu, nicely executed, and it's great cocktails. Unfortunately Chavez at the market doesn't have the same menu and what we had is by far less good than what is offered at the original location, and there is not even a cocktail menu. We were really disappointed. Service was friendly though.

   We were there for a business lunch. The quality of the food was very, very good. However, the food portions were laughingly small. I am NOT a big eater - but the mini-food was really insufficient. For $30.00 (including the obligatory 20% service charge) we received 4 silver-dollar size tacos! Hardly enough for an appetizer. After quickly finishing our food (it was tough to linger with just a few bites on the plates) we went to another restaurant in the Market to get sandwiches for lunch. So yes, very good quality Mexican food - but bring lots of money if you want a decent sized lunch!

   We tried every taco on the menu and loved them all! The guacamole was amazing and the queso fondido I would recommend.

   Chavez on the hill has a bigger menu, this ended up being a bit more of a taco place and the food was good but not as good as CapHill location. Would love to see them open that up a bit. It would be the nicest Mexican place in the city if they did that

   Having just relocated from Arizona (mecca of fantastic Latin/Mexican food), my expectations to find something in Seattle even remotely comparable, authentic, and delicious for that matter, were low. I tried two highly recommended places that, imo, completely fell short -but then I stumbled upon Chavez. They offer a small, but adventerous menu -and the taste was authentic! I am so happy to know that when I crave a taste of home, Chavez is here to itch the scratch. Kudos to the chef & staff for such a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back. :)

   This place is amazing!! The tacos are delicious and the people are super friendly!! Their salsa is by far the best salsa i have ever tried.

   Delicious food and drinks, but very limited menu compared to their Capitol Hill location. The space was small, industrial, cold, and a bit cramped. But I don't like industrial decor or high-top tables, which was the only seating in the place (besides the bar). If you don't mind that set up, good space to meet up with friends for some great-tasting tacos and tortas.

    Overall disappointing. We came home and made another dinner. It was very cold. We all ate dinner having to wear out coats.
