Great place to watch a football game!
We celebrated a birthday there with the mimosa tower! Perfect!
Not much choices on the menu, loud nightlife kind of music, waitstaff and their manager not hospitality oriented.
Made a reservation and was put on the patio - it was cold outside. I will say that they tried over and over to get the propane heaters to work. I wish they would give you the option of inside or outside when making a reservation. I wouldn't have gone if I knew we would be outside right next to the parking lot.
It was a packed house. No real Covid precautions occurring. Plexiglass was at the bar, but tables were packed and getting trayfuls of shots, etc. I am not a fanatic about Covid and go out often, but this place made even me uncomfortable.
It is definitely a younger crowd, although there were a couple of older couples there happily drinking martinis. :)
Thank you for your feedback. We do our best to honor guests seating preference but it is not always possible. As far as not taking any real COVID precautions I am inclined to believe that we execute them so seamlessly that you just may not have noticed. Masks are required, temperatures are taken at the door, seats/tables are disinfected between guests, plexi glass barriers for the bar / booths (including the one you described sitting at).
Good place to watch a game and not be in a sports bar
First time checking out Chauncey Social. Went with a group of friends for football and got a great table with couches. Love that there are TVs all over the place. Our server was good if only just a little spacey at times. Onion rings, Mac & cheese with Truffle, and Ceasar salad were tasty. The prime rib dip was okay - it came with Au jus that was wayyy too salty and fries that were going stale.
Overall we had a great time though, and if we weren’t moving we would definitely be back.
Fight night on the big screen. Ordered appetizers and drinks, great service!
Great brunch and drinks!
always enjoy chaunceys esp on sat nite which is DJ hip hop nite. The kung pao cauliflower is awesome!
Loved that they served wild caught salmon...so rare to find these days!
always have a great time here. love the kung pao cauliflower. prix fixe was a winner, too
Great Burger
Amazing place!
Loved the DJ! Food was great!
Poor service on multiple occasions. Would not recommend
we've now been to chauncey's several times and we really enjoy everything about it. first, they have, to a great extent, gone out of their way to protect their customers, with sliding plexiglass barriers at the bar and large plexiglass plates between the booths. Thanks! the food, which we really were not expecting to be anything special, actually is! The kung pau cauliflower is our favorite appetizer. for main course, the new steak and wonton salad is great, as are the salmon bowl and the grinder, we havent tried everything, yet. and, have i talked about the fries. some of the best EVER. Large, very crispy on the edge and soft centers-exactly the way i like them! For dessert (in the desert) the churro sundae was excellent and will try the oreo cheesecake, maybe next time. The vibe is very cool. They have a DJ 'spinning discs' in the background, which is at just the right level to enjoy, but not interfere. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and have done a great job of suggesting. they are very responsive and friendly.
I reserved a table received a response saying only outdoor seating but that's what we wanted so we agreed made the reservation when I got there they syud those tables were reserved by other people and not by us and there were 2 empty tables the whole entire evening on the patio while we were sitting there we were there for over 2 hours and for the entire time there was always to available tables in the area were I wanted to set hostesses were very rude and I will never go back.
We were happy to walk in and see one of our favorite Djs!The food was delicious but I would’ve like to see more brunch choices. The patio booths were very comfortable and perfect for the lovely weather.
Met friends to watch football. Enjoyed the number of TVs and variety of games playing. Food was good, also enjoyed the mimosa tower. Would return.
This restaurant just recently reopened after covid break. They did a very good job with social distancing and Covid safety. Very impressed.
But menu has changed from before and one of the best items has been removed - those fantastic short rib sliders. Why? They were so good.
Out door seating is wonderful and we’d have had a better experience had there not been a very loud couple sitting next to us. So loud we could hardly hear each other talk. Not the restaurants fault but it was not a great experience.
Birthday Weekend kickoff
We enjoyed our food, really nice sized servings. The wait staff was on it. Will be back.
The food was good, nothing to rave about, small portions, young staff which were nice. Probably would not go back.
Very good for Sunday brunch/lunch and football. However, dogs INSIDE a restaurant makes no sense. Dogs on a patio, great. Dogs inside where food is prepared, brought out and eaten. Not sanitary and needs to be addressed. One woman had a cart with 3 dogs while sitting inside at her table. When other dogs walk in, barking immediately ensues. Makes no sense.
Take temperature, wear masks upon entering and walking around (which I'm in complete favor of), but coupled with pets inside a place where people eat makes no sense.
Too loud. The place didn’t live up to the hype but the servers were great and the salmon was delicious.
Everything was great. The food was awesome. The service was amazing. I just wasn't expecting the music to be so loud that early in the day we got there around 5:30P. It was lively and energetic for sure. Will be coming back.
They accepted the reservation for 9:00. They decided to close early and not let me know. The man that came out said they were closed and he would talk to someone else regarding why they accepted reservation . Never returned just looked at us through window. I can’t rate anything else. If they are going to close early, don’t take reservations and be courteous and maybe offer an apology?
Kung Pao cauliflower. Need I say more? Not a deep menu but all items prepared well. Nice laid back bar scene. Good drink selection. Patio seating for Covid control.
The salmon entree was incredible and so was the cauliflower appetizer!
First time. Seem like it could be good and we plan to give them another try. Only issue was we ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was taking a while to come out then the server came out and said “the Chef just told me we are out of calamari. Just then our entree showed up. They ended up comping another appetizer to eat with dinner.
My chicken wasn’t fully cooked but the atmosphere was nice. The Mac and cheese appetizer is quite good. I think I would return for drinks and apps only.
Donavan was a great server. Food was great. Manager needs to tell all employees wearing masks to SPEAK UP. I’ve got great hearing but one of your employees (not Donavan) had a soft « Valley Girl » tone and lilt to her voice and then on top of that, the VG voice was muffled by a mask because she couldn’t project. Not good. No one should have to say
« Uh...I can’t hear a word you’re saying. »
Great food and great distancing!
Buffalo wings way to Spivey hot macaroni liquid cheesey
Amaze balls
A fun and hip sports bar and restaurant. The menu was unique with lots to choose from especially their excellent appetizers. The chicken was delicious but under cooked
Amazing place! Great food, great staff! We will definitely be revisiting soon.
A very popular hot spot. Great for people watching. Fun DJ late night.
. We came here 2 weeks ago when it was slow and had a great meal. This time not so much. The hamburgers were well done and dry. Fries were not served crisp and hot like the first time. Seems like same old story. Once these places get busy, the kitchen can’t handle it. There are too many other places in town that are better. Hope they can get it together😄
Awesome new place so happy to have this in our neighborhood!
When we arrived for HH at 5:30, the place was busy but not crazy. The club chairs in the open area were comfy as we waited for our nieces to arrive. Waitress was great: attentive and helpful. We had 6:30 reservations but couldn’t be seated until 7:00. No prob since we had drinks. The bruschetta appetizer had so much chewy mozzarella that we were peeling it off to eat the bread, etc. Hummus was good. Chicken sandwiches were good, according to adult girls, brick chicken was thoroughly devoured by my husband. My burger consisted of two thin, dried out patties that were awful. They should thicken the meat to one patty and not cook it to oblivion. I ate most of 1/2, then just couldn’t handle any more. By this time in the evening, 9:00, the place was transformed into a nightclub atmosphere. We had to shout to each other to be heard. The bar area merged into the dining area, and it was impossible to have any conversation. The crowd up until about 8:30-9:00 was decidedly older: 45+. There is no reason to have it so loud in there, as it was decidedly a dinner crowd, not a bar crowd. We visit Phx area on a regular basis, but won’t go back there. This place should be marketed as primarily a bar with some food. When spending $200 on dinner, I’d like to be able to hear myself think.
