Donavan was a great server. Food was great. Manager needs to tell all employees wearing masks to SPEAK UP. I’ve got great hearing but one of your employees (not Donavan) had a soft « Valley Girl » tone and lilt to her voice and then on top of that, the VG voice was muffled by a mask because she couldn’t project. Not good. No one should have to say
« Uh...I can’t hear a word you’re saying. »
Great food and great distancing!
Buffalo wings way to Spivey hot macaroni liquid cheesey
A fun and hip sports bar and restaurant. The menu was unique with lots to choose from especially their excellent appetizers. The chicken was delicious but under cooked
Amazing place! Great food, great staff! We will definitely be revisiting soon.
A very popular hot spot. Great for people watching. Fun DJ late night.
. We came here 2 weeks ago when it was slow and had a great meal. This time not so much. The hamburgers were well done and dry. Fries were not served crisp and hot like the first time. Seems like same old story. Once these places get busy, the kitchen can’t handle it. There are too many other places in town that are better. Hope they can get it together😄
Awesome new place so happy to have this in our neighborhood!
When we arrived for HH at 5:30, the place was busy but not crazy. The club chairs in the open area were comfy as we waited for our nieces to arrive. Waitress was great: attentive and helpful. We had 6:30 reservations but couldn’t be seated until 7:00. No prob since we had drinks. The bruschetta appetizer had so much chewy mozzarella that we were peeling it off to eat the bread, etc. Hummus was good. Chicken sandwiches were good, according to adult girls, brick chicken was thoroughly devoured by my husband. My burger consisted of two thin, dried out patties that were awful. They should thicken the meat to one patty and not cook it to oblivion. I ate most of 1/2, then just couldn’t handle any more. By this time in the evening, 9:00, the place was transformed into a nightclub atmosphere. We had to shout to each other to be heard. The bar area merged into the dining area, and it was impossible to have any conversation. The crowd up until about 8:30-9:00 was decidedly older: 45+. There is no reason to have it so loud in there, as it was decidedly a dinner crowd, not a bar crowd. We visit Phx area on a regular basis, but won’t go back there. This place should be marketed as primarily a bar with some food. When spending $200 on dinner, I’d like to be able to hear myself think.
My Husband’s Birthday
Apparently, this is the new happening spot in Scottsdale. Parking is a challenge, though, if you want to park your car and not give to Valet. There are many restaurants in the area along with apartments. Food, however, was good and server, Bree, was above and beyond! Noise level is high due to the large bar in center but there is a lot of outdoor seating for more 'quiet' dining. A sports bar, as it has tons of large TVs.
Be prepared for loud, good music!
Noisy, music too loud, expensive and food not very good
Terrible service would like a call from General Manager
Easy to get reservation for a large party. staff was very efficient and great service , DJ music, great place to hangout!
Thank you for your review! We are very happy that you enjoyed Chauncey Social and hope to see you again soon!
The food is fantastic, especially the starters. Service is slow, we waited 20 minutes for a fork before grabbing from an empty table and more than 30min for our bill.
Absolutely fabulous. Service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Management came to our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Can’t say enough positive about this place.
One word comes to mind...atrocious. Made the reservation for 9 people at 6:00 for outdoor seating. We were sat at a table for 6 with a max of 8 that was not even meant for dining. We brought the situation to the manager and after an hour we were sat outside. While the waiter was very nice, he was very inadequate as a server. Orders were wrong and acame out almost 20 minutes apart from one end of the table to the other. Salads that were being shared weren’t split, and then we were charged for each salad. Food was mediocre overall.
There are many better restaurants in Scottsdale to spend your time and money. I highly suggest avoiding Chauncey Social.
Outstanding service. This is a high end bar food place that offers nice value and entertainment.
Thank you so much Jay! Hope to see you again soon!
Waitress was really awful, it took a long time to get a drink, the wine list is really bad and extremely over priced for bottles. Food is okay, worst complaint is waitstaff and bar staff along with short pours of over priced wine and wine that retails for $29 is on the list for $220.
Took friends there for lunch before heading to Barrett-Jackson! They loved it! Food was fabulous, drinks and service as well. It was a pleasant surprise since we were there at noon on a Thursday. Not exactly prime time for staffing, it was great!
Thank you very much for your amazing comments! We hope to see you again very soon!
You could tell the restaurant was still figuring out some things in regards to operations because the service was not very good. Manager apologized and our service was better towards the end. Drinks were slow and beer list was disappointing, but the food was very good and the atmosphere was interesting - entertainment district Scottsdale meets high-end sports bar. First experience was average to below average, but location and food will make me go back to give them a second chance soon.
The restaurant looked good and like it would be fun. The food was just OK. One of our meals was so tough you could not chew the meat. My salad was just pretty basic. Waitress did a good job however our order came out one of them was wrong and I think she got in trouble with the kitchen as they came out and took it back and came back with an attitude about it. It looked like perhaps the waitress had been crying because She had probably gotten yelled at. They were not busy as we got there at 11 AM. It is not our desire and there was six of us to go back to that restaurant.
This is a great new place. They still seem to be working out some kinks, but overall it was a great experience. Good service, food and drinks. It was really crowded in the bar and people were trying to spill into the tables on the patio - but they did a good job of trying to keep them from crowding the diners on the patio. Great TV watching inside for big sporting events - also beautifully decorated. Overall, definitely worth checking out.
Entrees were very good and well presented. Cocktails over priced. Noise level even on patio makes this an inappropriate site for casual dining conversation.
We sat on the patio which was nice. Our server did not know the menu and was unable to answer many questions. She did not explain specials or offer options. They were out of side dishes and add-on like stemmed broccoli. She offered to substitute cauliflower-which cane covered in cheese and heavy cream. They were also out of to-go boxes.
Will be a nice place for a drink after they iron out the problems.
Needs to work on service as a whole. On a positive the busssers were friendly and timely.
We liked the food and the waitress was friendly. BUT, they left piles of dishes on our table while bringing out the next course, waitress messed up the order (not a big deal), they charged us $25 for a birthday desert after insisting that we leave the choice of dessert to her (when we asked her about the charge she stated that all of the desserts were around that price—she was either dishonest or woefully misinformed) and the waitress mixed up our credit card slips. Then, I contacted the GM to share our experience and she said she needed to call me later (seemed interested in wanting to know about the issues), but never called me back. Place had potential, but we won’t be going back.
The place needs a theme. Doesn’t know if it’s a sports bar, restaurant, or nightclub. Service and staff were excellent and super friendly. Food was good, weird offerings though.
Arrived at 9:05pm for 9:15 appt. Sat at 9:15, asked to leave at 10:15pm. Bottle service? No signs posted that we saw, no online notifications stating our experience would be interrupted. One request to anyone that can actually take action- COMMUNICATE.
If I missed any signage or misinterpreted the confirmation in any way, please accept my apology.
Just a horrible experience that evening that was completely avoidable.
I had higher expectations on quality of food. The food was OK, but definitively nothing special.
Great staff. Accommodating for food allergies. Noisy. And vibrant Lots of tvs. If you want quieter evening the patio is great!
