Using the best of ingredients from our award winning local suppliers, all our dishes are a real treat to enjoy within the historic surroundings of the Stables courtyard at Chatsworth House.

The bus stop is just a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.The closest train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield. However, buses from Chesterfield do not come all the way into to Chatsworth. The closest bus stop is Baslow, which is 2km on foot.

Had afternoon tea; the service was exceptional all done with a smile. Food was excellent very tasty. There was a very calming atmosphere in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Booked Afternoon Tea for my Aunt's birthday. While I hadn't arranged anything with the staff at Chatsworth (Cavendish restaurant), when they realised it was a special birtthey they made the whole afternoon extra special. The service is 2nd to none, attentive staff without being intrusive. The afternoon tea itself was just wonderful, we certainly didn't leave hungry & were not rushed in anyway. The restaurant itself is stunning, beautifully decorated & quite quiet even though it was quite busy. Will definitely book again. Well done to the Cavendish staff, you really made my aunt's day

Not the best visit. After trying several times to make a booking we succeeded in making a booking to celebrate my wife's birthday and visit the gardens. However the atmosphere was not as relaxed as usual and the staff seemed tense. The soho arrived under two minutes after the bread rooks were served and the coffee I'd ordered to accompany my meal on arriving had to be chased up when the soup was served. The rest of the food was exceptional, but the service seemed more perfunctory at times, which is a shame as generally the service is impeccable, as I have outlined many times in the past. But, I can accept the there are good and bad days and it was our bad luck to have a celebration lunch on one of the less good days. The real loss for us is the decision to not use formal table linen which has always been a notable part of the Cavendish experience. I'm saddened that this was not our best experience, but of course we will be back again very soon because we really appreciate the food and staff.

The staff were unfailingly cheerful, attentive and extremely helpful. They offered excellent advice about the food and drink and supplied seemingly endless amounts of both. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Thank you very much to everyone involved.
