Looking for the best steakhouse restaurant in Glasgow? Welcome to Chateau-X in Finnieston, where we serve premium British-sourced steak without the premium price tag. Known for our legendary Chateaubriand Experience, Steak Frites from 12pp, and Glasgow's Best Sunday Roast, we’re all about top-quality cuts, bold flavours, and a laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere.

We are vocal about being local, and are famous for our premium dry-aged cuts, sourced from local suppliers, and our vibrant atmosphere.

Born out of lockdown, we took a luxurious chateaubriand experience to homes across the UK. Growing our offering throughout lockdown saw demand for us to increase so much, we knew we couldn't stop when life resumed to the 'new normal' - with our official restaurant in Glasgow West End opening in 2021.

Our mission is simple - bring top quality British sourced meat and produce to our community, with a bit of banter on the side. So, what are you waiting for?

First time at CX for the £15 steak frites and it was fab. My partner and I both had steak frites and cheesecake and everything was delicious. The waitress was so sweet and the barman made me a delicious mocktail and came over and chatted to us at our table. Staff were so relaxed but still attentive. Decor is spot on and it was just a nice casual vibe. Felt really comfortable and will definitely recommend.

Had the Steak Frites deal which was excellent value for money. Food and service was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary today for a Sunday roast which was disappointing from start to finish, the staff were extremely unhelpful and unapologetic to the point she was actually smiling at us and just said ok, when we complained about the food being freezing cold, and the poor quality of the food. The restaurant was not busy so not excuse for this. It is branded as a “sirloin roast” which is highly doubtful however we were served two thin slices of beef with a big piece of gristle on each piece sitting on top of a golfball sized mashed potato. The carrots and parsnips served to us were so shrivelled and dehydrated looking some not even the size of a finger nail. The only enjoyable part of the food was the roast potatoes. We have visited loads of times and had such a great experience and delicious food. What a disappointing experience which would now make us think twice before ever coming back as it totally ruined our evening especially when my husband was still hungry after leaving which is not what you expect at £22.50 per head.

First time overall impressed, however overcharged by £86.00 which was corrected when we noticed and queried. We would go back again.

Our meal was first class, lovely restaurant and very friendly staff, will 100% recommend it and when we’re back in the area will certainly return.

This place has been on our radar to try for a while and it did not disappoint. Simple but great menu, steaks were amazing. Sonny the server was excellent- great recommendation on the bone marrow jus!

Amazing food, lovely service. The tobacco onions and confit potatoes were so good along with the steak. The girl with the brown hair serving was so lovely, I didn’t catch her name we were in at 5pm on Saturday night.
