Great food! Great experience. Highly recommend
The food was delicious and we'll presented. The service was on par with the best restaurants we have experienced.
Fabulous as always! Dino and his crew never fail to impress with great food, fine service and a relaxing ambiance.
Such a delightful experience our waiter courteous and informative
Loved everything. Food was great.
Everything was nice. I would have been even more please with the full menu to choose from. But they chose a SELECT menu to serve to customers on mothers day. I didnt know this when I reserved the restaurant for seven people. For that I give 4 stars...
The meal was okay but I thought it was highly over priced. We also didn’t like the limited menu options.
Mother’s Fay was our first visit to Chateau West! Even thought they were busy, they made accommodations for us and the service never felt hurried or neglectful. We had a wonderful time!
I made a reservation for Mother’s Day. I was not told there was a Pre fixed menu but there was. Price was high for what was received. Server seemed confused at best. Seafood crepes were adequate. Scallops were over cooked. Duck gumbo had 2 bites of duck. Somehow my expectations were set high and I was very disappointed. Both desserts offered were very good.
I have eaten at Chateau West, and the food is good, and is usually not unreasonably priced, however, for Mother's Day they apparently do a bait and switch every year, and I just did not know this until I found out on Sunday. I went in expecting the usual brunch menu, $10-35 depending, and was presented with a $45 fixed menu instead. Their manager's defense was that they posted it online a week before... I made my reservation before that.
1. What my mom and I wanted wasn't on the fixed menu.
2. What was on the fixed menu worked out to ~3000 calories per person.
3. The price was 3 times the normal price of what mom & I order there.
Menu was a 3 course selection. Duck Gumpo was served luke warm in a small cup with very little Duck. One salmon entry was served cold and had to be reordered. The Seafood Crepe entry had very little seafood and Holandaise Sauce and was luke warm. The steak & egg entry had maybe 3ozs of meat. The restaurant’s accounting system went down and we waited about 15 min for it to take our payment. When we received our receipt, it was over $100 what we were supposed to be charged, which made them have to rebill me. As I was walking out, I realized they had not returned my credit card.
I felt the $45 cost per person was high relative to the quality and quantity of the food & service.
I will say our waiter was attentive and concerned with the issue the restaurant & kitchen were having that day- Mother’s Day.
Was very surprised at quality of food. First time. Very delicious.
Outstanding. So happy to have discovered this gem. Outstanding service & food set in a quaint yet elegant surrounding. We had the chateaubriand served table side. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves steak. Everything was perfect.
We had brunch on Saturday for a party of four. We had a delightful time. Our entries were prepared to perfection and the service was impeccable. This is a wonderful restaurant destination for almost any occasion. We have been there before and will return again soon.
Our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner was wonderful!
Very pleasant, satisfying experience. Menu is almost all French cuisine favorites. Our table had beet salad and escargot as appetizers and salmon and boeuf bourguignon as entrees--all very nicely prepared. Prices were reasonable.
We love this restaurant! The food is always fantastic!
Went in for a quick dinner and had appetizers and salads. Escargot was good. I did not care for the spinach salad and prefer it made with hot bacon dressing. This is simply spinach tossed with bacon bits and the other ingredients. The Tartare was good, though a bit too much mustard though my wife enjoyed hers served on a Caesar salad.
We brough two friends who were there for the first time. Both were very happy to be introduced to Chateau West and its delicious food.
One of our favorite places. Don’t miss the fois gras appetizer. Bouillabaisse is stellar.
Unlike in many good restaurants in Nashville, you can carry on a conversation without having to shout.
Varied results here. Totally tasteless Cesar salads, a weird mushy scallop shrimp appetizer . Excellent entrees including lamb chops, mussels, salmon. Excellent deserts including strawberry napoleon and Veen brûlée.
Booked for Easter Brunch. Treating my 82 year old Mother to a nice Easter lunch. First, no note or indication on Open Table or when we made the reservation that menu for Brunch was going to be Prix Fixe. Open Table showed the regular brunch menu. Decided not to try to find another place on Easter and went on and sat down for Brunch. Our server was covering inside and outside and was trying to keep up. The kitchen was obviously running behind. Our food was cold when it finally arrived. I didn't make an issue of it at the time because I had my Mother with me. The four of us with gratuity and no cocktails had a $250 tab for lukewarm to cold food. Just not the experience I expected for the price.
Went for Easter Brunch and was very disappointed. It could be so nice. Carpet looked terrible and food was mediocre at best. The omelette was scorched and the potatoes were room temperature. Too bad, I really was looking forward to experiencing Chateau West. Crème brûlée was good!
Easter lunch. We love tempting our taste buds at Chateau West. Having lived in France for a time I can tell you their food is traditional French! The ambiance and the service are amazing also
Second time to eat there and don't believe that the food matches the expense.
This was our first visit to Chateau West and we had a very good dining experience. I recommend the sea scallops! We will return!
This was a family get together for the Easter weekend.
I chose this restaurant on a whim and what a great choice it turned out to be!
The place was quiet and dim but not too much of either.
The wait staff was attentive to the needs of the party and very friendly.
The food was fantastic and the wine great.
I will definitely be back again.
We took our family to Chateau West for an early Easter brunch. The food was outstanding...delicious and beautifully presented. Our five-year-old granddaughter enjoyed a quiche and lots of the fresh-baked bread. To top it all off, we ordered the flourless chocolate cake and a strawberry Napoleon...both were to die for!!! We shall return often!
We always choose Chateau West for a quiet lunch or dinner with friends. Both the food and the service are excellent.
Wonderful dinner for daughter’s birthday! Good choice of liquors and wines to suit every budget. Staff was very pleasant and personable. We started with saffron shrimp. They were great and the sauce was delicious with the French bread for dipping into it. Two of us had scrumptious mushroom soup and one had the French onion, all of which were fantastic. We were all very pleased with our entrees. Daughter had the scallops with goat cheese polenta, hubby had the filet with scalloped potatoes, and I had the mahi-mahi special with vegetable lasagna. Stuffed after a few bites, we asked for go boxes, but they brought the Birthday girl a molten chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream and a candle. I really thought that was sweet! Even though we are visiting from out of town, I feel sure we’ll be back.
Great place to get some traditional country French cuisine.
Food excellent. Service was good considering there was one server for 12 tables! Look forward to going back.
Such a wonderful experience!! Ambiance wonderful, second only to food! Wait staff very attentive. A must go!!
Perfect service and delicious food served in a beautiful and calm atmosphere. If you looking for an elegant dinner place this is it.
Everything is delicious . Great place for a date night or special occasion.
The only thing I would change is for the quiche which was delicious to be hotter when it arrived at the table.
This is consistently a lovely experience. Thank you.
Excellent brunch. Always enjoy dining here.
I heard about Chateau West from a radio ad on The Phil Valentine Show. I checked out the menu on the restaurant's website and saw many things to tempt the palette. And as advertised, the prices were quite reasonable. So I reserved a table for two for our 34th anniversary. My wife had the beef bourguignon and I had the citrus scottish salmon. Both were outstanding! We finished the meal with a trio sampler of creme brulee, poached pears with caramel sauce, and a fantastic chocolate flourless cake. Yum! We will be back!!
