Snails in white wine sauce, garlic, butter and herbs
Escargot in Garlic Parsley Butter*
Stewed Beef Shoulder, mushrooms, onions, carrots and celery in a red wine sauce
The food was bland and my crepe was soggy from all the greasy cheese that was poured on it.
My husband's eggs were not poached correctly and the salad dressing tasted like straight up syrup.
Out server wasn't bad but he didn't seem too concerned that we didn't enjoy our food.
Also no acknowledgement that we were there for our anniversary even though we indicated it on our reservation.
Not a good experience and we won't be back.
I wish I could actually rate the food, but all I can rate is the restaurant’s inability to honor their reservation system’s confirmed reservations and the host and manager’s ambivalence to the predicament they put me and my three young children in. I used open table to make a reservation about an hour before the scheduled dining time with an outdoor table (my kids aren’t vaccinated so they’re only eating outside). I drove from downtown to the restaurant and arrived exactly on time only to be told they can’t find my reservation. I pull it up on my phone. They go on to tell me that they have a problem connecting and it’s unavailable. No attempt to rectify the situation. It’s after 9pm on a Saturday. Thanks for nothing. PS it’s not dial up.
We all had a great time at Chateau West. Delicious food and our waiter Andre was the best ever. He was funny, efficient and didn’t hover but was there when you needed him. Escargot and scallops were delicious. I highly recommend!
Food outstanding. Service old world level. Can’t wait to go back
The food was good, the green beans were exceptional (I had the duck). The service was good. The weird thing was that we ordered one wine and they gave us a different wine (same variety and region) without telling us that they didn't have the wine we ordered. When we questioned it, they said that it was an equivalent wine they received from the distributor. It was fine, but a weird experience. We thought about eating outside, but it's on a busy street and there's construction all around, so fortunately they had indoor seating for us.
We pass this restaurant day in and day out on our way to and from work. We decided to give it a try this past weekend. Despite their huge sell out of all their steaks that evening (we were more excited that people are out supporting our local restaurants) it wasn’t a big deal to us! There were plenty of other dishes to choose from! Everything from the cheese board, calamari, main courses to desserts (don’t pass up the Strawberry Napoleon) was absolutely delicious!
This was our first time at Chateau West, and we really loved the experience !! The Bouillabaisse and filet mignon were outstanding !!
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
The food was superb, and our waiter was both knowledgeable and personable.
This is our favorite French restaurant / bistro in Nashville. We have beeb regular customers for many years.
The food & service were outstanding. The scallops with polenta and wilted greens were excellent!
Great food and excellent service.
I don't usually leave reviews, but for the price of this restaurant the service was below subpar. We waited 25 minutes before asking if we would have a server (no water no drink orders no acknowledgment that we were seated). There was no bartender that evening. 3 of 4 meals were brought out and had we not asked for the 4th, I do not believe it would have come. The staff was aware it was a difficult evening but management did nothing to mitigate, apologize or remedy. Not worth the $400 night out. For that price we expect decent service. Food was good, but not good enough to come back.
We came here for an anniversary dinner while we were visiting Nashville. Very quaint, we sat outside and enjoyed the escargot as an appetizer. The food was fabulous and very French. Perfect for an anniversary/celebration
Chateau West has the best food and they accommodate special requests! I enjoyed the salmon w/blackberry sauce!
A perfect French dinner
The food and service was good. We went on a Monday night, there was a smaller number of people dining.
Great for a Family Dinner or Date Night. Food and Service were great and it was easy to book outside seating.
The people are very nice and professional, service was PERFECT! I would have enjoyed ordering from the whole menu rather than the brunch menu, but food quality was good and cooked well. I wouldn't have expected such a warm welcoming delicious restaurant in a strip center next to Dairy Queen, but it was worth the try!
Avoid this place at all costs. The Easter Brunch Pre Fixe menu was awful, and the food came late, tasteless, and cold. The waitress was rude and uncaring and charged us for uneaten entrees. This was a colossal failure on every level. Go anywhere except here. There are numerous other options in the new Nashville.
Had a great experience at Chateau West. Service was fantastic and food was very good.
There was a most beautiful and romanic aura to this restaurant. The decor was elegant and gave a French feel to the evening. Service was outstanding. Very cordial and friendly servers. Decor was simple but elegant. Food was outstanding. I would make the trip to Nashville just to go to this restaurant.
We love this place! Amazing food, cozy atmosphere, and not overrun with tourists.
Tried something new for our anniversary this year. Chateau West was an excellent choice. We had dinner at a French restaurant on our wedding night, and this was a great fit. Couple of glasses of wine, we opted for the Chateaubriand, and of course the French Onion Soup, which was outstanding.
We used to listen to a restaurant reviewer on the radio, that said he always had the soup when trying a restaurant. That if they couldn’t do soup well, he wasn’t optimistic about the rest of the meal. The soup here, hit it out of the park!
We ordered and received wine right away. But we waited and waited for our waiter. Finally, we had to go find him. Maybe understaffing was the issue. A gentle heads up would have been nice. Outside of that issue, it was great as usual!
Great food. Great Customer Service.
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!
Looking for authentic French food, this is the place. Everything from the onion soup to the escargot to the creme brulee was delicious. Do NOT go to Once Upon a Time in France, which on a scale of 1 to 10 was a ZERO. Night and day between the 2 restaurants!
This was our first visit to Chateau West but it won’t be our last! Everything about it great in our opinion. We had been looking for a good French restaurant in Nashville and we found it here. There were so many attractive options on every portion of the menu, it was hard making a decision. Each of our party of four ordered a different appetizer and main course and they were all attractive and delicious. We did share two Trio deserts and all three items in the trio were also delicious. We’ll be back often!
Great food and awesome service. Andre is one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant.
We had been here a number of years ago and thought it was time to go back. We had Sunday brunch, not dinner.
The food was excellently prepared and the waiter gave us his undivided attention. Chateau West exceeded our expectations, and we will likely go back again for dinner on a special occasion.
Great service and food. Nice wine selection. Recommend for a cute date night outside the city.
Chateau West is a lovely and consistently excellent in quality of food and service!
Wonderful experience. The food was terrific. Service was on-point. We will for sure be back.
Food was outstanding and service was excellent! We are already planning on coming back with other family members. Would definitely recommend!
We love Chateau West. Sunday Brunch is always a treat. Don’t ever underestimate the Quiche! It is amazing.
Great food and service.
Food was delicious. Everything else was a disaster.
My husband and I went to chateau west on a Saturday night and our waitress went over an hour without checking on us. The manager cleared our appetizer plates and took our dinner order. The hostess retrieved our dinner after we asked if we had been forgotten since three other tables had arrived, eaten and paid since we ordered our dinner. If the food had been fantastic I could have overlooked this but it was nearly inedible. The scallops were prepared incorrectly and the scalloped potatoes were cold and unseasoned. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone.
Service was actually really poor and disappointing, which surprised us. Took a while to be able to order, water was never refilled as glasses sat bone dry until food came and we had to ask the person who brought out our food to ask our waitress to please bring us more water. Wine was never offered to be refilled. Escargot was sub-par and sent back with only two bites eaten and the waitress didn't bother asking if there was an issue since 80% of it was uneaten. I had the chicken which came out as only dark meat, no white meat was included. We skipped dessert so as not to prolong the poor experience. We hear the brunch is good, I hope it is a buffet because the poor service really brought down the entire experience.
Romance with my wife .
The light needs work couldn’t see her eyes as they were in shadow pretty badly .
