The food wasn’t great. It was fine. Overpriced
Chose this restaurant because had a group of 14 on fairly short notice and they could accommodate. This restaurant is at a very nice hotel that was nearby the home we were renting, it's off-season so that helped. Staff was very nice and hospitable. Our waiter very friendly but was by himself and struggled to keep up. Lots of time spent waiting on drinks. Several of us chose the NY Strip for $38. It was not a good choice, not good meat quality and not well prepared. Others had better luck with different options. They have a good wine list which I appreciated.
My sister and I were celebrating our birthdays with a total party of 9. They very kindly brought a free, festive birthday dessert...but they only brought one instead of two and said we could only have one. That made it somewhat awkward.
I would recommend Chateau Grille but not the lobster or sirloin. The shrimp and filet were amazing but the lobster was blah and the sirloin had opportunities.
The food is wonderful and presented in an elegant format. We ate at the Chateau Grille twice during our stay. Both times were excellent with great service!
The location and the place is absolutely beautiful. Service could not have been better ...actually everyone was very friendly and helpful. My husband had the prime rib buffet and the prime rib was somewhat tough. My meal was very tough..but it was taken and handled immediately by our server. My replacement fillet was fabulous. With my husbands entree a little difficult to eat he took half my fillet and was extremely happy with that. We were given a dessert to compensate for the problem and it was really really good. Would we go back....will we go back....yes.
It was a very enjoyable experience. The live piano music was wonderful. We were able to enjoy the sunset as we were seated facing the windows. The food was delicious. Service was great.
Sandra's was a great waitress. Margaret was really helpful as well.
The food was wonderful. The staff were courteous and friendly. The brunch was unbelievable! Too many option, so I’ll have to go back and try it again.
This was the most wonderful meal with gracious staff and an exceptional atmosphere. We will be back!
As always, the evening was wonderful. We’ve never had a bad experience here. We’re planning to book “The Chef’s Table” experience before year end.
Food was mediocre at best. Lettuce in salad was wilted, green beans had no flavor, and jalapeño mashed potatoes were nasty. However, the pork chop was delicious, despite the Boursin cheese that came on top even those my husband asked them to leave it off. The French onion soup had excessive cheese. While our waiter was friendly, he consistently forgot about us and what he was supposed to bring us. We literally sat at our table for at least 10 min before we were greeted by him.
Great for Sunday brunch. Quality and versatility of food for the cost was more than fair! Will be back!!
It was very special place to have a special meal. The view of the lake and sunset was outstanding. The food was overall very good. The only issue was that my steak was quite a bit tougher than I expected - definitely not the best steak I've ever had. My wife's salmon was very delicious and the scallop appetizer was outstanding, so that's why the rating. It was, by far, the best place we ate when we were in Branson. Highly recommended!
Vacationing in Branson for a few days. We had stayed at the Chateau before and had a good experience. We scheduled a dinner appt. and had a great time. The property is beautiful, the ambiance is great and the staff friendly .
This is a special place...an occasion place
It was awesome, especially at sunset,,on the lake with a
wonderful view. The hotel is beautiful, also
Top of the line, 5 star
The food was room temp to cold. Chocolate soufflé was delicious.
So the food was only so so. Actually the food was terrible. My wife and I ordered the same meal. The filet was soft and tasteless. The salt level was super high and the shrimp were almost inedible. The manager was excellent however and did his very best to accommodate us. The second order of food that we received was no better however Do not come here if you want to keep your salt intake low.
It was excellent, the food, the Location.we will come in again.we had a great time. Thanks
Celebrating 34th Anniversary, requested table by window to see lake. That did not happen. Piano music was nice. Large portions of food.
To be advertised as Fine Dining, I would have expected table clothes on the table not plastic placemats. The food was just average, the pan seared chicken breast looked like a little leg, I was having trouble seeing it was a breast and it was very dry. Vegetables were listed as roasted rutabaga, I was served roasted zucchini. The fingerling potatoes were okay but dry tasting. The waiter tried but was very rough around the edges for "fine dining". So when dessert menu was presented, we were ready to move on. I would think twice if you want "Fine Dining".
Great evening with friends. Staff and service was exceptional.
Although the settings of the restaurant and the accompanying grounds are quite beautiful the food we found in the restaurant did not match. Service was quite good, the wine list impressive, but again the food did not meet our expectations.
The loaf of bread we were served prior to our meal was unfortunately stale, the accompanying tomato basil butter lacked the taste of basil to our palate. Our filets, while cooked to the desired finish, that being rare, lacked any sear on the exterior and was sadly under seasoned- if there was any. I question whether the pan was hot enough for a proper sear.
While ambiance and service are essential for a fining dining experience, so is the presentation of properly prepared food. Sadly this was lacking here, and so based on our experience we would not recommend dining here especially at the prices demanded.
The food was absolutely horrible. We had the "Chef's Signature" Chateaubriand. The meat was tough and everything on the plate was room temperature. There probably is not such a thing as elegant dining in Branson, so save your money and go for the local BBQ .
Came across this gem on open table and really enjoyed our lunch. My husband and I took my Mom there while visiting Branson. The view was beautiful, service was great and the food was delicious!
Excellent brunch, great time meeting up with friends.
Booked a table for 5th wedding anniversary dinner. Food was delicious, waiter was nice but not very attentive for us being one of four tables. Decor could use some updating.
Maybe the worst meal I have ever had. Filet was a sirloin that was burnt. Was suppose to be medium. Other steak was a filet. Ordered med well. Came rare. Mashed potatoes were hard and dry. Best thing was the wine
The dining room food was good but, the pizza and bread sticks we had were awful. The breadsticks were hard as a rock. We didn't say anything though. I think more attention should be paid to the food and the quality of it.
The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful!
Our server was rude to one of the women in our party which made everyone uncomfortable. Other than this, we enjoyed ourselves. The food was incredible and the the piano player was amazing as well.
Had a drink at the Library bar. Bartender unfamiliar with a common drink.
Food was fantastic! Service not so impressive. Waitress was not very knowledgeable. Reflection from windows prevented lake view and furnishing were outdated.
My wife and I made the reservation here for our 23rd anniversary. The time was chosen carefully so we could enjoy sunset at the end of our meal and it was perfect!
We really enjoyed our sunset dinner here. The service and attention to detail were exceptional..(haven't had that for awhile)!Beautiful view of lake.Live piano music!!! And the food..was wonderful. We loved it! Will definitely be back.
Tough, unseasoned steak for $38. Poor service, and people dressed in shorts and T-shirts in what should be a more upscale restaurant for the prices. My wife’s risotto looked like concrete and the overall experience was incredibly disappointing.
The food was delicious and our server was great. I had a steak that came out just right and was so good. My husband had prime rib, shrimp and scallops. He said his meal was delicious also. The sunset on the lake was beautiful and we were able to watch from our table.
Love eating at the Chateau! I love the food and the atmosphere. However, they can be a little slow. One frustrating thing was they brought the kids food out first, way before the adults got their food. This was a horrible idea since the kids were done eating well before we started. Needless to say I had to wolf down my food and rush the kids out of the resturant and to the playground so everyone else could enjoy their dinner.
Over all experience was good! View was beautiful! Bartender made sure our drink was made to our liking. Waitress did all she could but very inexperienced.
We had to send one Entrées back because it was not cooked to our Liking.
