Service was slow and the hostess was ever unprofessional and rude. The waitress was very respectful. We will unfortunately not going to return due to the poor service and unprofessional hostess

My date & I were excited to enjoy the rooftop. The host was lovely. The waitperson was cranky, and had to be reminded twice to bring a glass of Sancerre. Lackluster service.

Overall, vibes are cute and drinks are mid. But the biggest reason I’m giving 1 star is because I made a reservation over a month ago for Chateau Carbide specifically for a cocktail “experience” that was advertised during the timeframe I wanted to make a reservation. The whole reason why I made the reservation on this specific day/time was because this “experience” was advertised. Although, day of when I got there, I was informed there was no “experience” and that it had already happened? Biggest piece of advice — please update your restaurant events/experiences to reflect correctly on Open Table. This was a major disappointment for me, and unfortunately spoiled my anniversary. Service didn’t seem to care in the slightest that they had this mess up on their end.

Really disappointed. We were in Chicago for two nights, staying at the hotel where this bar is located. I asked to sit outside and the hostess was super rude, dismissed us and made no effort to find us a seat outside. The inside area is lacking in ambiance and a real disappointment. Was really saddened by the service and experience.

Ambiance completely destroyed with renovation. I went for the luxe vibe it had when 1st opened and didn't know it was redecorated. Went from exclusive luxe fabulous to ubiquitous beach mod. Comfy, no doubt. Wonderful drinks and small plates. Really top notch. Best negroni ever had.. husband enjoyed 3 of the Brule all days. My group was over 50 laid back friendly crew practiced at the art of hanging out and not judgemental people and all said waitress seemed constantly annoyed and 3 said "pushy" and the place was not full. I wouldn't go back just bc the vibe has completely gone trendy but others didn't appreciate the service, although REALLY enjoyed the menu.

Zero guarantee to sit outside on the patio even if you agree to wait. The inside area is not fun and feels like there is no air conditioning. The menu must’ve changed as there isn’t sushi anymore only incredibly small bites that aren’t worth it
