Great vibe and nice to have vegan options. Festive ambiance and food was very good.

Waiter was fantastic
The first night of our first pandemic vacation. We’re road tripping local to our home in Southern California, having cancelled a trip to the Italian riviera, twice. It’s not a fair comparison. That said, Chase is close to terrific. Terrific is in the details, and although we were greeted and served warmly, and enjoyed pretty good food and beverages, the details were lacking. It’s not clear if that’s due to staffing in the pandemic, or resting on laurels. Our occasion was special, but Chase wasn’t. We had a great evening.
Food is weak point here
Bread was stale, calamari was terrible, slow service, dirty inside (we sat outside but went in to use RR). Would not recommend! We did let the manager know.
Food was ok, not great. Service needed work, the four dinners were all delivered to the table at different times, with the last taking about 10 minutes longer than the first. Onion soup was ok, but not as described by the server.
They have a nice expanded outdoor dining area which is great… but took a long time to get our first cocktail.. they changed their “table” bread and changed their chicken Marcella recipe and not for the better
Incredible service! the music and ambiance was amazing! Our waitor was absolutely incredible and brought my friend a drink and dessert for her birthday. There was old-fashion music playing in the background and the menu options were every bit as delicious as I expected them to be. I would recommend to anyone!
The food was amateurish. Worse than something I would make at home. No presentation, and even worse taste.

Our favorite are the several choices of Piccata dishes, not just traditional chicken, there's shrimp, calamata also. Seafood chowder is delicious as well.

We got turned away when we showed up for our reservation. The server told us “sorry we are overwhelmed tonight”, laughed it off, and basically dismissed us. Very offended and disappointed given that we had a reservation for our wedding anniversary and we were on time.
This place was a bummer. Came recommended to us by a waitress at a near by wine bar for good Italian food. The food was not very good- kind of like your easy frozen Italian food from the grocery store vibe. And the biggest bummer was that the service was insanely slow. It took over an hour for our salads to come out and then even longer for our pasta dishes. My friend and I are pretty patient and enjoyed catching up in the mean time, but none of the staff came to communicate with us or apologize about why it was taking so long. And then the food unfortunately did not make up for the long waiting period. To top it all off it was way over priced for the quality of food and service we received. Major bummer!
First time giving a bad review to any restaurant! Terrible terrible service and rude staff (mike). Waited an hour for half the drinks to arrive and no food! Can’t believe they couldn’t even get French fries out to serve for one hour. We left without food! Worst restaurant ever.
Beautiful evening only increased by the fabulous service. This is a frequent go-to restaurant with us and many of our friends.

Frankie our server was so sweet even though he was very busy. A few hiccups with the food but overall great time.
They tripled in size post pandemic however kitchen staff remained the same size. It took over 45 mins to get our dinner, and they forgot to even bring the appetizer we had ordered at the end of it all. My kids ended up going to bed hungry ( the food came so late they fell asleep), and the manager never came to check in or apologize for the long wait. Food didn’t taste bad but wasn’t the best Italian i have had either.
After being seated it took approximately 25 minutes before anyone visited our table. Once we ordered it took another 30 minutes to get house salads which were mediocre at best; another 25 minutes to get entrees. My wife’s ravioli dish had a label like what comes off of a piece of produce. Entrees and desert were of same quality as the salads - edible but that’s it. Our waiter provided decent service and he was the best part of the evening
We did indoor dining, and it was too hard to breath as the kitchen ventilation did not work apparently. We ordered two dishes: fish and pasta. The fish was uncooked, and the pasta clearly had frozen meat on top.
Food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was also excellent. Very attentive staff. Made for a very nice evening out.

Pork Chop was a little over cooked. Seafood in Cioppino was as well.
We had two dishes and here is my quick review:
The chicken Marsala was not edible. The sauces were vile.
The pork chop was dry and the baked potato was “chunky” and not tender.
If I were the chef I would be conscious about what is not eaten and returned on the plate. Then ask the customer their impression.
Chase is a quaint restaurant located literally on the streets of Santa Barbara. The food was delicious but the service was slow due to staffing problems . Definitely not a deal breaker though.

Wine pour for a glass was insufficient when other patrons who ordered a glass received a greater portion. Our meals took 45 mins to arrive. Thankfully we weren’t very hungry otherwise we would have been more impatient to receive our dinner. The linguine with clams did not taste like how it is usually prepared at other Italian restaurants. Maybe it was done differently by the chef, that is all I can assume. It tasted sour. I took 3 bites and was very disappointed and hungry. Service was nice although a bit slow. I wish they had been a bit generous with the wine pour so maybe that would convince me to give this restaurant another try. These other reviews that say the food is great should get a taste of the linguine with clams. I’d love to hear how their taste buds react to the sour taste and rubbery clams that are hard to chew and swallow.

The table we sat at was the only table without a heater that could cover the area. We requested the heater be moved just a little closer to our table but it did not happen. We could have gotten offered another table but no. Ordered food at 6:43PM and didn’t receive our food until 7:59PM. Never returning to this restaurant ever. Unexceptional customer service
Awesome food and selection. The only reason for the lower service mark was the very nice but new server. Overall it was great and looking forward to coming back.
I would like so single out our waiter Rhonda! She was awesome her energy was top notch from start to end! Got there 15 mins before our reservation and they sat us quickly and the food came out 15 mins later! Very satisfied and guaranteeing a return in the future!
Chase looks good when walking up State St. but once you are inside the "parklet" its another story. The service is slow because the kitchen is really slow. Drinks were so/so asked for a G & T, waiter had no idea what gins they had... we ordered an appetizer and after 40 + minutes the manager had to come to the table to say they were running a little behind. It was like Hells Kitchen only a few tables with food. He offered us a comp salad or Soup. Wife and I both went for soup. I chose the clam chowder which came to the table green and grainy. Waiter said they made it with Artichokes...huh? not good at all. Flatbreads finally come to the table, bottoms really burned prosciutto was tough. We ate them because we were starving. Dinner was also a waiting game. Wifes fish on a plate with pasta sauce, swimming in liquid...butter? Not great, my Veal Parm was ultra cheesy but kind of mush... Not a great "By the Glass" wine menu at all for me, especially with all the great wine country around. We skipped dessert... I wish I would have read the other reviews 1st.
Just ok. Service was very good. Chicken Marsala was good but the noodles that came with it were tossed with too much butter. None needed. Hubby had ravioli - had not been completely drained with water still in the sauce. Fresh but bland.
They opened this restaurant too early. They needed to train their staff. The service was poor and the food was mediocre. Took 40 mins to just to get the drinks out and they were wrong. The waitress was really nice and apologetic but we won’t be going there anymore
