Chartier is a rustic, French-Canadian restaurant located in the heart of Beaumont, AB. The menu, created by Head Chef Tamara Solon, is an elevated take on rustic French-Canadian favourites; made with love, care, and extraordinary amounts of butter. Our food is for everyone. Not frilly and pretentious, just wholesome local ingredients that taste amazing and fill your belly.

Chartier was named the Best New Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2016, one of the top 10 Best New Restaurants in Alberta by the Globe and Mail, and made the long list for the Best New Restaurants in Canada by enRoute Magazine. Most recently, it was featured on Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List starring John Catucci.

Please note; due to high demand for outdoor seating that evening, patio tables are available for 1.5 hour seatings. **in the event of rain we will do our best to accommodate patio reservations in the dining room, but table availability is not guaranteed.

    Join us Saturday, May 10th + Sunday, May 11th to celebrate Mom! We'll be featuring a brunch charcuterie for $70 per person, with optional mimosa flight. Littles (12 and under) will have the option to order from our feature kids offerings ($25 per person), infants are welcome to join the table at no cost. Due to the nature of this event, not all dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please contact tamara@dinechartier.com prior to booking if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Seatings are 1.75 hours each, and our a la carte brunch menu will not be available this day.

    We were here for a prepaid mother's day brunch. The food was great, but the service was lacking considering you had to pre-pay the tip. Our server forgot several things, like our kids juice, sugar for coffee. Also felt a bit disappointed that a coffee wasn't included in the pre-pay meal. I can understand alcohol not being included, but thought a $70 brunch might include coffee. Also felt a bit mislead by "12 + under will have the option to order from our feature kids offerings", when there was no ordering at all, they were just brought a pre-set meal.

    This is a restaurant that excels at delicious rustic French cuisine. Cozy and scrumptious! Every bite is the perfect bite, and Chartier never disappoints. Their sourdough, whipped butter, and brie is always phenomenal. Drinks are superb. Every entree comes out with the wish that you ordered that, until you try your own and couldn't be happier. The owner, Sylvie, is a delight. This is the perfect place for any celebration or fancy meal out.

    As a repeat customer of Chartier, I was very pleased with the new spring menu the new salads were inspired. We enjoyed the watermelon, tomato salad, and the wedge salad very much. The chicken burger was delicious and huge and the dessert options were so tempting we had the orange Creamsicle crème brûlée, and the affogato. So delicious! Can’t wait for the next visit!

    Sadly the breakfast poutine was really disappointing. It was very salty and I couldn’t even taste the hollandaise. It seemed like it was missing something. Everything else was great and the people I came with enjoyed their dishes.

    We had an amazing time! Our server was so kind and smiley! The food was great! I would definitely recommend the Haricots Verts, sugar shack fried chicken sandwich and the Beaumont smoked meat bagel. Loved it! Girls were friendly and super lovely to us.
