Chart House Restaurant - Weehawken Ratings and Reviews
It was amazing!!!! I cannot stress it enough!!! We will be back!! The food was so fresh the pasta was homemade and you could tell!!! It was the absolute best place hands down that if ever been !!! My wife was taken back by how beautiful it was And so was u !!! If you want to wow your date or spouse this is the ONLY place you should go!!! You won't regret it!!
We had an awesome experience except the fact that we asked for a window table and then we were told it would be another half hour to sit right by the window so we said no but then we got sat by a window seat for about 5 minutes then got moved to a non window seat and we were not happy to be moved. But there were plenty of window seats not taken so we were very upset!
The view is amazing no matter where you sit due to the large windows. Our server was fantastic! He made sure everything was to our liking. We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary so it was a special night. We took our best friends with us and it was their first time there. They loved it and said they'd like to go back. We drive about an hour to get here; it's worth the drive! The dress is business/casual. In the winter, it can be a little chilly so ladies...I recommend a sweater or shawl for inside if you get cold easy. Everyone pays attention to detail.
Very disappointed. First, no heat. We weren’t told at check in. We found out after being seated and asking the server to turn up heat. Wife had to wear coat throughout meal. No attempt by management to compensate. (e.g., complimentary appetizer or drink). We seriously thought of leaving but where to find a good restaurant last-minute on Saturday night.
Wife ordered prime rib medium rare. First came out too rare then came out medium. Lots of fatty parts that didn’t render well. Between lack of heat and poor handling of meat, wife told me she won’t go back.
Not everything terrible as my grouper was good and the tasting creamer brûlée dessert was a pleasant surprise.
As always the food and atmosphere were to die for.
Although, this is the 3rd time I’ve been there in the last couple of years and it has always been freezing cold inside. Not quite sure if it’s the “norm” here or just me having bad luck, lol.
Most of the people dining here were wearing their coats.
But like I said the food and the atmosphere is worth a go back.
Our server was less than pleasant and the heat was broken. We ate dinner in our winter coats and hats. Food was wonderful but hard to enjoy when you're freezing. Also disappointing is that buildings that now cover the Empire State Building. I know it's not the fault of the Chart House but the view is not as desirable as it used to be.
Food excellent, service mediocre from our server but other staff was very friendly.. We sat for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from our server. Another waiter helped. She brought our steak sauce when I was done n forgot several requests which we gave up on. She also brought the wrong check. Tge restaurant was freezing. Patrons were eating with hats n coats on. Will think twice about returning. Have been to the chart house numerous times with excellent experiences - but not today!
Although the view of the NY skyline was beautiful the food was served luke warm. The building had no heat so you had to wear your coat. Fully understand that things happen but management did nothing in the way of a free drink or dessert to offset the problem. We presented ourselves with them knowing we were celebrating our anniversary (50th), you would expect a cake or something on that order. We received a post card of the building and a rolled up menu stating Happy Anniversary. Great considering we spent around $400, food and drinks.
Even when we expressed that the food was not hot, no explanation given from the waiter. At the end of the evening the maître de presented himself to ask if we enjoyed the evening, of course we told him not really and explained how we felt. Comment sorry, have a pleasant evening was his response. It was to say the less a very poor showing of a Landry business. We will probably never grace Chart House again, however, we will tell our friends our experience.
They were very accommodating in keeping our reservation even though we were late and giving us a table with a great view of the Manhattan skyline. But, if was very cold in there the whole time. A manager said they were having issues with their HVAC. My fish was a bit undercooked, which I was not happy about; my stomach is sensitive to that. My wife's steak was very good, but her mashed potatoes had a very large piece of potato that was whole. The service was adequate, but the server not friendly nor did he check on us regularly.
This place went above and beyond for my husband and I. I had emailed them in advanced that we were going to clebrate our second anniversary. We were greeted upon arrival by the sweetest server ever. They gave us personalized menus that wished us a happy anniversary. It made us feel so special. Multiple people congratulated us and they even gave us their special lava cake as a gift with a beautiful card for the Chart House wishing us a happy anniversary. The entire night was perfect and our dinner was delicious. We were so impressed by the service. A++
First time visit, won't be the last time. The food was outstanding, you get what you pay for. Our entrees were prepared very well and much more quickly than expected. The service was very good. The view is outstanding, almost breathtaking! But it's a shame that not all the seats face the water and NYC skyline. This is a great place for special occasions and it seems many of the Sunday evening diners were, like us, there for that reason. Too pricey for regular dining out but for that special occasion or event, well worth it!
It's not quite kids friendly, although they did accommodate us along with the stroller. There was no separate family room. I think a big place like that, especially when you host big parties. Should have a place for nursing. I had to nurse in the hallway with everyone passing by me.
MY granddaughters birthday, she was thrilled, we had a great time food was very good especially the scrambled eggs(yes the scrambled eggs). Great dessert tray also. They have everything you could ask for and we are going to go back, we are also going for dinner there!!!
Our server, I think her name was daniell, was very good she made our day more enjoyable.
Went here for a birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. Our server, Roberto, was amazing attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. He went above and beyond in helping us make the birthday dinner great. The views of Manhattan are beautiful and the ambiance is great. It has low music so you can actually converse with your guests without struggling to hear. Will be back.
I have been a recurrent visitor to the Chart House for years. I have visited with Out of Town Business Colleagues as well as for special occasions with family and friends.
The service and the food has always been outstanding. The view, being right on the Hudson and across from Manhattan never gets old, especially at night .
The noise level is such that you can keep a quiet conversation with your group and not having to shout to be heard. Definitely recommend
We have gone here many years for a special occasion (not a birthday - yet we received birthday menus) and this was the first year the service was lacking. Our waiter forgot about our table and did not come to see us until about a half hour after we were seated, only after we called the Manager over. While the staff was disappointing, as always the food was amazing!
