Chart House Restaurant - Weehawken Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dinners I’ve had. I ordered the ahi tuna with avocado pico with a side of rice and vegetables and everything looked and tasted like it had just been defrosted. The server Cindy was nice and it wasn’t her fault so I didn’t have the heart to send it back. Extremely disappointing.
Great location with a view of the NYC skyline and Hudson River
Interior and seating is great
Tapas are good, a plethora of wines to choose fine. The entrees are ok, and the sides are average. I'm probably a little bias because I cook often at home and eat out a lot. So when I have to pay a certain price for a meal, I expect to be blown away a little lol. The sea Bass was a good choice for us, the grouper was cooked ok but was just poured over with a tangy glaze of sweet ginger dressing. I would probably just have tapas, soup or salad and/or seafood tower next time. I'm not a red meat eater, so couldn't review the meat option. My lady didn't try the meats this time.
Valet parking was decent
Our servers were polite and attentive
I would say over all it's a good place to dine with a awesome view of the Hudson. The atmosphere isn't noisy, so you can actually conversate.
Only bummer is, they don't require a dress code. For a person like myself who likes to get dressed when going to nice places to dine. I would prefer to be amongst other people who made the effort of getting dressed semi formal at least for dinner. Oh well...
Been there many times, you know it is gout to be expensive but usually worth it. On this special occasion we introduced it to a couple for the first time. Everything was excellent except one of our guests asked for his filet to be cooked medium rare. It came out looking well done. We were very surprised because after all it is known for it’s steaks. They cook another, and it was basically raw inside. Send it back again and it was satisfactory now except everyone else was done eating and he had a lobster tail as well, and couldn’t enjoy the meal the way it was meant to be enjoyed. They did comp a lava cake but with the bill over $375 before tip, you just left with a less than great overall feeling. In all my other costs I never had a steak not cooked correctly. It was Friday during lent so it was not overly crowded either.
I love the Chart House, it’s my favorite restaurant. The food is always awesome.
Our server Kyle, was slow and not very attentive. He made us wait 20 minutes to order our appetizer and 15 minutes to order dessert until the GM, Hans came over to take care of us.
Hans is what a General Manger should be. He takes care of his customers, checked on us and made we had everything we needed. I dealt with him In the past, a class act.
Can’t wait to come back.
Experience was good. Enjoyed Dinner, but companions dinner was off. Served cold, then too salty. Need to improve a bit. Mari dish was delicious that I got.
Staff and management was terrific, helpful , and extremely accommodating. Nice ambiance and scenic view.
Valentine’s Day. Was a little disappointed. Service was slow. The tables were not setup sideways where both parties can look at the view at the same time. Was at the bar section eating an appetizer with cocktail along w my husband, then one of the hostess cake for us walked us to get dotted and left us at the receptionist area for a bit. Pretty annoyed at that. Other than that the food. Not our first time there. Other than that food was great.
Overall not bad. Sever was overwhelmed so didn’t get much of her attention. Oysters weren’t shucked great pieces of shells inside. Manager came over and took care of it. Back to the server, very rushed, had to ask for dessert menu, didn’t answer questions, over all again seemed too busy to give us the experience we were expecting. I guess every one has a bad day but didn’t want it at our expense. Just seemed that she was trying to rush us and get the table ready for the next reservations.Received better service at the bar while we were waiting. Steak was great my wife had the scallops and shrimp said it was amazing. Was expecting a better experience... but if ur going for the food it’s delicious.. might give them another shot to get the experience everyone talked about but we shall see!
Our reservation was at 5:30 and we were seated right away. It was our wedding anniversary and I mentioned this when making the online reservation. There was a romantic table for 2 already prepared with a custom menu with "Wishing you a Happy Anniversary" printed on top of the menu with an extra sample tied up in a ribbon to take home. The food as always was fantastic and the sangria was amazing. Just a wonderful night out with beautiful scenery and ambiance.
Our appetizer was mediocre and our dinner was just “okay”. Our waiter told us that our meals came with our choice of soup/salad but it didn’t and we were charged 10$ each for a cup of soup. I wouldn’t go back for the type of money we spent and unfortunately, I feel like we could have had a better time with better food elsewhere. I was highly disappointed.
