Chart House Restaurant - Weehawken Ratings and Reviews
The experience was just wonderful. I took my daughter and her closest friend for a 16th birthday celebration. Both of them turn 16 within days of each other. The food was excellent but the staff was spectacular. They made the experience so special for us and I was very touched by the attention they showed us on this special day. The girls left feeling like celebrities.
As soon as my girlfriend and I arrived, we were in immediate awe. Chart House is situated right along the Hudson River and right across from Manhattan, New York City. We were about to get really nice shots of the city and were seated right by the window which made for some even greater photos. We came here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and staff really set the mood, from congratulating us whenever they’d walk by and even make some small talk. Our waiter, John B, was simply amazing. He was attentive to our needs, knowledgeable about the menu, and very kind. The food was delicious, for the first time in my entire life I had a 3 course meal. I even left wanting more! I would definitely come here again
My husband and I went for our 6th Year wedding anniversary, words can't express what a
wonderful time we had. The Chart House is amazing and they made us feeling so special, they
put our names on the menu wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The food was excellent and waiter we had was AWESOME. Thank you Chart House for showing us so much love.
Was there twice in December; food and service was excellent. However on New Years Day steak was OK not comparable to the one I had in December, and it took over 45 minutes after appetizer for food to come out. Maybe it was just a busy night ? The ambiance was beautiful as usual. Would dine again.
Fantastic food and service . The view was absolute superb.
Overall the very best dinner. And it's absolutely not the last time we dinne here. All recommendations will be given to my network in Denmark. All the best and happy new year rgds Gunnar Nissen/ Denmark
Great dining. We come every year for New Year's dinner. It was a bit chilly in the restaurant....actually very cold. It would help to turn up the heat. It made for uncomfortable moments.
Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. I plan on returning next year with my family.
Staff was the best. Very welcoming and accommodating. Daniel was attentive and Curtis the manager made sure to ask us how we were. The food was phenomenal. Best lobster my picky boyfriend have EVER had. I had a great dish and it was vegetarian. Wonderful options.
It was supposed to be 5 of us but a friend had to cancel last minute. We were sat to a table for 5 and was abruptly moved to a smaller table a few minutes after. The new table was darker next to kitchen and had constant traffic of waiters crowding over the computer. Karen the waitress was horrible compared to the usual outstanding service I am accustomed to chart house. We were rushed and she came to the table a total of three times. We were totally ignored and we lost the chance to have the lava cake since she did not return as promised to see how many lava cake we wanted. Feeling disgusted and embarrassed to my friends of the poor service... we opted to go elsewhere for dessert. I usually come with family and friends quarterly but this may have been the last time.
The chart house is one of my favorite restaurants. It was a very crowded that night however the food and service was worth the wait. Many people were dressed up and at one part of the night there was a marriage proposal. The view off the water is just awesome. I will definitely be back again to dine at the chart.
Everything was fantastic. The only thing that went wrong which I didn't like is that I made a reservation almost two months before the actual date and didn't get what I requested. I requested a scenic view by the water by the water and did not get what I wanted. No one mentioned to me that I wouldn't and with a classy restaurant like this, I feel my request would have happened without a problem or at least someone would mention to me that they can not accommodate it at the time of my reservation. Another thing they could have done is told me I would have to wait a little bit for a scenic view. It was something that I was looking forward to the most especially impressing my girlfriend but that did not happen. Not sure I will be back unfortunately.
We love going to this place and frequent this place quiet often. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit disappointing because our meal was pretty salty and over cook a bit. The lava cake that we love to order, the cake was dry and very hard. It’s normally soft and chocolate would run down smoothly. Service is always great and we no have issue with that. Maybe the chef was having a bad day that day 😏
Went for a 5 year anniversary with my girlfriend. The views are spectacular and they really did a great job making us feel special (custom menus, a postcard). However, if you have a food allergy BE CAREFUL. Myself and my girlfriend expressed that she could not have gluten or dairy (due to Celiac's disease), and while they had a seperate menu we had a really close call. They said they could prepare a salmon dish for her and meet those requirements. When the dish came out it had mashed potatoes on it (which naturally worried me). I clearly asked "gluten and dairy free right?" To the waitress and food runner. They both said yes, after asking multiple times. Once the waitress came back I asked her to please ask the chef one more time, and there ended up being cream in it. For the price we paid and the otherwise great service, this is unacceptable and really hampered the experience.
If you have a food allergy please be careful at this restaurant.
