Absolutely wonderful food! The waiter was extremely helpful all the way from food choices to the drinks. He knew the menu in and out and told us about anything we wanted to know about. Even took a picture of us for our date. Wonderful restaurant with an amazing view. Wouldn’t miss the chance to go if you have the opportunity.

We chose Chart House for our 13 year Anniversary dinner. They were a little behind this night, and we had to wait about 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The appetizer that was recommended by our waitress was phenomenal.

The Chart House is a wonderful place! Took my girlfriend for her birthday and the food was amazing. The seafood was magnificent. The crab cake was the best I ever had and the fish was perfectly cooked. The drink menu could be updated but everything else is great!

I made reservations through Open Table, which really wasn’t a problem, in fact it was very convenient. I had called the Chart House for reservations and was told they only had one table available late in the evening. I was able to make a reservation through the Open Table app for about 2 hours out, instead of the 6 hours the restaurant “operator” said was the only reservation available. We arrived early, and was prepared to wait, no problem. At first they didn’t know who I was or that I even had a reservation, then they finally found it. It was clearly listed on the screen, but the host kept insisting it was a reservation that belonged to someone else. Anyhow, we went through several different cycles of finding then losing my reservation. We were also given contradictory instructions on where to wait. They prefer to text you when your table is ready, which they did 3 times. One host kept telling me that I didn’t have a reservation and never received any texts, when I showed her the texts on my phone she responded that she was seating someone else’s reservation. At the same time another host kept trying to seat me and the hosts started arguing with each other. Long story short, the “hosts” are incompetent and don’t express they understand customer service. After getting through the ordeal of actually getting our table, I must admit the food was awesome. The restaurant is noticeably loud, and we felt a little cramped in our booth, but the view is stunning and there is no place in San Antonio that offers better.

I like the view and the lighting was very nice. The staff catered to our every need with was nice took a little bit long for our main course and it wasn't hot maid is think maybe it sat there for a bit. We decided not to say anything for it would of taken longer to remake two new ones but overall it was a nice experience.

View was fabulous! Food was mediocre. Service was superb.

Ambiance was priceless. I only wish the food was worth the price they were charging. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that good. Esp. At those prices.

W# ordered prime rib and salmon. It came cold. The Merlot I ordered with the prime rib arrived when I was about done with my meal. I sent the wine back as it was too late. Not a good 56th wedding anniversary dinner experience. we live in San Antonio ((29 years). Last time we will go to the Chart House. Our 3 grown Children also live here; they value our restaurant experiences. Our server was "Paul", not too sharp.

This was a great place to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The view is spectacular and the fact that the restaurant revolves gives you a great view of the city. Request a window seat for the view. Drinks were a good pour and the wine list gave you a number of choices, especially by the glass. My wife had nothing but appetizers and I had a meal. We were able to take home leftovers because of the portion sizes. We heard it was going to be expensive but the meal was no more so than any other high quality restaurant. Definitely will go back if we are in San Antonio again.

Hostess station needs improvement. We made a reservation but waited over 10 minutes to be seated. Guests who arrived after us were seated first. When we inquired at hostess desk, they didn’t remember us. Our server, Emmy, was fabulous! She recommended cocktails that were very tasty. She was also very attentive. The food was quite delicious. We were very happy with our dinner.

Overall (and knowing myself as an extremely positive person) it was a great place to celebrate my friend birthday however a few unpleasant moments occur: 1. Music was unappropriate and too loud; 2. After sunset it was very dark (I simply didn’t see what I was eating); 3. Since we came hungry and stuffed ourselves with bread, butter, appetizers and a salad, both of us barely ate 1/3 of our main courses, asked our server Melissa to box both meals (normally I don’t like leftovers but the dishes were tasty and I regret to leave most of the plates half full). Long story short: Melissa dumped both dishes (my fish and my friend steak in one box) - that was upsetting because we are not living together and I don’t eat meat, and my friend doesn’t like “fishy odor”, the bag was closed and I didn’t even think to look inside but when we came to the cars that’s when we tossed away $70 to the garbage (two sad faces here); 4. I ordered a salad with the roasted cauliflower and broccoli and harissa and there was not enough dressing and harissa is just a name - 2 thin brushes strikes of harissa on the plate; 5. The ice cream portion on the lava dessert was so small, literally Baskin Robbins kids scoop is bigger (!) and since the cake is so rich and hot and tasty, a bigger scoop of ice cream would fit better; 6. Not server fault but I thought that she would ask if we are Laundry’s card members (and I am), so I would apply $100+ bill to my account but no, so I won’t get points (which is not a big deal but still would be nice). But overall, like I said, we were in a great mood and happy to celebrate a birthday (which doesn’t happen often - only once a year ;-)) and we were happy to visit a famous Tower of the Americas and the Chart House restaurant.

It's always a good time at the Tower. Although on this particular day the elevators were backed up so it was a good 20 minute wait. Aside from that dinner was good. The waiter knew the occasion and everyone congratulated my girlfriend on her birthday. He even read the note I left on my reservation online about a prank I wanted to pull on her. So if you leave a note, they will read it. Some places don't see the notes. The food was good. The only bother was the elevator wait but that has never happened to us before so I don't think it's too common unless there is a big event downtown.

I went there on our first anniversary the view was breathtaking and our waitress was excellent and that’s where it ended. First the I feel the lack of dress code or lack of enforcement was very disappointing for the type dining. There were children running around that took from the experience, I had a young child that sat on the corner of our booth until I had to tell him to go sit down. I think he may have had a better time at the Magic Time Machine restaurant parents fault but the manager should have stepped in. The best part of the night was when the Redbull girls stopped in complete with Redbull cooler backpacks just a little tacky, assuming that’s why the manager didn’t stop the kid to busy with the girls. Known for there prime rib mine tasted like it was reheated form the night before. Not a place I would bring my Clients. Very disappointed! Not in anyway upper scale.

We went here for an anniversary dinner. We got seated by a window and the view is breathtaking. You spin the whole time getting an amazing view of all of San Antonio. The food ended up being absolutely delicious. Our appetizers were the crab and lobster fondue and calamari. I would highly recommend both. The fondue was especially tasty. My husband got the 18oz prime rib topped with a lobster tail. He was extremely happy to say the least. I got the chilean sea bass which was also very tender and good. Drinks were the pomegranate mojito and a chocolate whiskey, two thumbs up. Desert was the mud pie and the lava chocolate cake. Lava chocolate cake=to die for, definitely worth the 30 minute wait (that you're warned about). Our waiter was also great, didn't check in too much, just enough.

This was not my first visit to the Chart House but after this awful experience I have no desire to return. What a huge disappointment overall, freezing cold - diners guests had their coats on! Unfortunaltely we did not have coats with us. I did ask one of the hostess' if they could make it a few degrees warmer but she said they'd have to call maintenance. On occasions as we revolved, the table linens were flapping in the breeze from the A.C. vents.
Our appetizer was good & enjoyable. I was served the wrong entree dish & the waiter argued as to what was on the plate. I ordered a blackened Chilean sea bass with no butter sauce & what came had sauce, was extremely fishy & not blackened. When ordering we were advised they were out of salmon dishes & Ahi tuna which we found odd for a 7.30pm reservation. So the choices were limited in the fish category.
My friend and I were drinking different wines, red & white, so we opted to go by the glass. Her second glass was not what she ordered. Again the waiter having initially admitted he served her a chardonnay instead of Pinot Grigio retracted that saying he'd given her the correct wine. She did not drink it.
Finally my entree came- he practically threw the second entree at me & never once returned to our table to check on us. When we ordered dessert he told us it too too long to cook the molten lava cake but could offer is key lime pie or creme brulee. We declined. He didn't know what an Americano coffee was! His name was David & is the rudess waiter I have ever experienced. Truly a nightmare we couldn't wait to come to end.
I have recommended this restaurant to friends & colleagues after a fabulous previous visit with my husband & family. What a huge disappointment on this occasion to bring my friend visiting from overseas to celebrate 20 years since she was our maid of honor in my husband's & my wedding. The whole experience was poor & unfortunately I will not plan to dine there again with any future visitors.
