Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. Booked reservation via OpenTable, requested window seating. The seating accommodation was absolutely perfect. Our server was good, he did take a little time to refill drinks and check in on us more regularly but he was extremely nice and informative. You expect to pay a higher price, given the atmosphere, however, the steak really lacked flavor. We ordered the Filet Mignon, the steak was tender, just tasted plain. They were out of baked potato and gave us mashed potatoes instead without consultation. These are all honest observations, not necessarily complaints as we were satisfied overall with the evening.
We had a window seat and the view was spectacular. Our server who went by Q was very nice and helped us very quickly.
I'd recommend for a romantic date.
Outstanding place. I did a search for good restaurants in San Antonio being from out of town and thus had no idea. Chart House was one of the first ones to come up. This restaurant had a beautiful view being at the top of the Towers of Americas and very nice ambiance. The waitress was wonderful and extremely helpful, and friendly. Always on top of everything and took care of me and my fiance very well. The food was delicious and full of flavor. If I am ever back in town, I will definitely come back!
The food wasn’t horrible but I couldn’t express that it exquisite either. The wine selection was also subpar. Given the cost per individual, I just expected a lot more.
Great experience. Food was good and the service was also good. The view was spectacular.
The food was great. We had reservations and asked for a window table when we arrived. The wait was minimal and we where granted a window table. Service was Awsome. It was our first time here but it made for an unforgettable evening.
It was a wedding celebration
My sister and I took our grandkids to experience a true treasure...they had an awesome time and this made their spring break one to remember...we plan to continue this tradition for a long time to come. Everyone was so helpful and kind.
Scenic view was awesome. Food and service was mediocre.
We had the steaks. Food was awesome. Our server Nicholas was great. He made great suggestions. The view of the city is amazing. We reserved a time on OpenTable which allowed us to avoid the long lines during Spring Break.
This was my 3rd visit in the past 5 months. When I came in November my ribeye was perfect, tender and prepared how I like it but my girlfriends ribeye was very tough. She is not a steak lover so we let the complaint go and we said nothing. On my last 2 visits I again ordered the ribeye. On both occasions the steak was tough. I sent it back twice and unfortunately without success. This past March we were celebrating a birthday. I told our waiter of my previous experiences and he (Julian) assured me he would take care of me. He did not!! Even my chicken was tough, not juicy at all. Ambiance was nice, bathrooms were clean, wait staff slow on service and food was not up to par. I will not recommend this establishment to dine at.
Our family dined here for a special meal on spring break. We enjoyed all the food we ordered. Hummus for a appetizer, Cesar salad, salmon, coconut shrimp, and a cheese burger. The waitress was attentive and did not miss anything.
The view was great, but it took over an hour to get our lunch and it wasn't even busy. The server was largely absent and didn't offer any explanation for the long wait for the food or even check on us after it arrived. He came by twice in the hour saying it will be out soon laying false excuses. I had to go to the host to get any information and to page our server. Also the host was rude on the phone when we called to make a reservation. The food was ok, but not worth the wait or price. If you want the view, just go to the observation deck. Visit was on March 15, 2018.
Our waiter Nick was amazing... he suggested great wine and food choices. He was exceptional. The wait (hostess perspective ) needs work.
I would have to say our overall experience was great. The only negative portion I’d have to say was the long length of time it took for our waitress to initially wait on our table. Besides that we’d come back again.
Dont eat here if you get motion sick easily. The spinning restaurant coupled with the extremely slow service made for a very unpleasant dining experience.
The food was good, but the service was slow. The server was very congenial and pleasant. The wait for the table and the wait for the food was daunting.
The views were great. The food was excellent and presented elegantly. Our waiter was outstanding. We really enjoyed eating there. It was very relaxing. We would definitely go back again.
Started off with us have to wait 30 min after our reservation time to get seated. The girl in the front said we were next a party 3 mind you. But they sat 3 different parties down. Include a party of 14 before they finally sat us down. Our server Ernesto was the only pleasant part of our meal. He was extremely friendly and polite.
Now onto our food my wife ordered a steak which was suppose to be medium well and came out almost well done. It was cold she ordered the truffle butter which wasn’t sent out with the steak but wouldn’t have mattered the steak was so cold it wouldn’t have even mattered. Her side of potatoes were also on the colder side.
The plus side our appetizer was beyond delicious the wicked tuna would be the only thing we would recommend here.
It’s safe to say as laundry select club members we were not only really disappointed in the service from everyone but our waiter was below subpar. Food was not enjoyable at all. We will not be eating here again anytime soon.
Our reservations were for8pm with only a fifteen minute wait for seating. Our servers were Rochelle and David. They were very knowledgeable of the menu and had pleasant attitudes. Rochelle was helpful with recommending other places to visit, being that I was visiting from out of town. The revolving restaurant made me a little woozy at first, but once I received my appetizers and drinks I was fine as wine😄I absolutely loved the ambiance and will definitely return.
Outstanding food ,good enough service ,great view. Good great excellent I do not know any other way to describe it.
Great food and ambiance.
Nice place to visit with the family, wife or friends! The food is very good and the wine 🍷 list excelente plus the view is and excellent experience !
We ate at the Tower because dining includes free admission to the watch tower and 4D movie.
The food was good but far from great. I would have expected better for the spendy prices. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and luck warm. The prime rib was mediocre; the coconut shrimp was pretty good. Salad and soup were ala carte, bread basket included 2 small rolls, and a few crackers, for 2 people. Additional bread would have been extra.
Service was OK until the end. The waitress took our credit card and didn't come back for 15 minutes. She never apologized for the long wait. We had eaten and we wanted to pay and leave, not wait 15 minutes.
It's only worth eating here if you're interested in seeing the watch tower and 4D movie.
Restaurant was super crowded and noisy. Prices were very high, but the quality of the food was good. Service was nice, but not outstanding. Didn't appreciate being hit on for your "card" at the end of the meal. We didn't come to a high-priced restaurant to get a sales pitch. Greatest disappointment was that the restaurant was not revolving and we were stuck with a western view at 6:30 PM. Yuk. Next time we will do Bigas and enjoy a quiet dinner with now squalling babies next to us.
Chart House was AMAZING! I had been wanting to go for years! We finally did on Monday! It was perfect! 😀 Service was great, food was awesome, and the view was amazing!!!!
Our bartender had great flair while creating our cocktails! Very experienced and professional. The food was great, great view of the city. I would definitely go back!
The calamari were delicious! For the main course, I’ve had the king crabs - excellent as well, paired with a good Burgundy white wine. The service was prompt, we’ve very much enjoyed the evening!
Waiter was nice just he forgot to offer drinks took too long for servixe
Great food and service. Very cool experience. My only complaint was the menu. The menu on the website showed reasonably priced sandwiches and other lunch items. We ate at 1:00pm, and our menu did not have any of those options. The cheapest item on the menu was $30.
Made Reservation for Sunday late lunch / early dinner. Both on the ground before getting in the elevator and once in the restaurant there was the subtle message that early is as bad as late. Fortunately we did not have to wait. Starters and adult beverages were nice but even with a low cloudy sky the view won the show. See for miles even through a light fog. Progressed to the main course and my wife was disappointed that they did not have Prime Rib until after 4:00. Lame excuse they wanted it slow cooked really means they are not willing to pop for someone to come in early - not the best of messages from a company like Landry's. That said Chart House is part of that empire and it fits in. One expects and one finds a good to very good meal.
Excellent view of city staff were awesome very special night!
Everything was great, except that I had made a reservation for 7:30 and when I got there, the hostess let us know that they were running behind. Which is the whole point of a reservation--to ensure you have a table. We were not seated until 8:15.
I took my wife to eat here for our 2nd wedding anniversary as a surprise. It didn't start off good. We had to wait 30 mins for our table even though we made reservations over a week ahead of time. Once seated we decided to order an appetizer which our server never put in. We also ordered a Caesar salad which came out just a few mins before our meal did. The chicken was chewy and the lettuce was soggy. Our entrés came out and my steak was under cooked. It was just not thing after another. Don't waste your money. The view was awsome and then read was good as well as the garlic mashed potatoes.
My wife and I, had a great time. We look forward to dining there again for another special occasion.
We had a wonderful experience on our 28th year Anniversary. The drinks and food were delicious.
I think last year was the best Birthday!! This year was not what I expected they didn’t write Happy Birthday on the plate with the lava cake like last year, waitress light up candles I didn’t get to blow the candle or make a wish because the air conditioning turn down the candle and for me that was a bad luck, I was really so disappointed, but other than that the Place is Awesome and Food was Amazing!
Visiting San Antonio this is a must to take in. The revolving restaurant gives you a birds eye view of the entire city. Absolutely beautiful!
They were very accommodating to our large party which included small children. The food was delicious but it wasn't advertised they only serve the dinner menu on weekends, so kind of pricey for a lunch option. The servers were nice and seemed to be trying hard to serve in a timely manner but a little slow getting food/drinks out. Overall, nice experience.
We have a Landrys card that we forgot to use and I'm not sure how to get the points. Also we were charged for a shrimp cocktail that we didn't order.
