Chart House Cut
The food is average at best. The service was also not very impressive- our waiter was clearly too busy to stand at our table for more than 10 seconds. Wasn’t knowledgeable on the steak and what cut was cooked what way. The view made up for both!
Jew was amazing. Service was terrible. We got moved 3 times and got dripped on from a hole in the ceiling. You go there for the view, not the service. Food was okay
For our first time ever going it was a great experience and we definitely plan on going back soon.
The broccoli served with the salmon needed a steak knife to cut it. I would have preferred a seasoning for the salmon. The Tuna Poke Bowl was delicious. The free parking was great. The menu on the Internet is completely different than the menu we were provided and none of what we were going to get was available. UPDATE THE INTERNET MENU.
The service was acceptable but I had to try and catch the waitress twice for water.
The ambiance and the uniqueness of the restaurant are what I paid for and that’s what I got.
The food and drinks were great and the view is beautiful! I had the shrimp Mac n cheese, the lobster bisque soup, and a berry mule, and they were delicious. My boyfriend had a Cesar salad and enjoyed it. Negatives of the experience were that it didn’t seem like the a/c was working very well or there wasn’t good air circulation. It felt like warm/stale air. We also had a reservation right when they opened at noon, but service was still slow. The restaurant slowly rotates to show customers a 360 view during their meal. With the rotation, there were broken crayons, leaf garnishes, and a few dead moths on the window sill as we rotated around, which didn’t seem very clean since they just opened as we were seated. I’d say I would return again because the food and views were great, but would hope the above cons would improve.
It was nice until we showed up an hour early to tour the deck which then we were told if we did that we wouldn’t have enough time for dinner. Service was mediocre I got a whole water spilt on my nice cocktail dress. My fiancé asked for his steak medium rare we got it well done. Took about 30 minutes for the appetizer to arrive took about just as long for entree not to mention we received the wrong entrees at first. Very disappointed have been a couple years back yet not the same experience. Will give another try but very very disappointed considering I’m a server myself this is unacceptable
I was looking forward to this dinner, but was somewhat disappointed. The service was slow, it took more than an hour to get our food. They forgot our appetizer, and brought it with our dinner. Our waiter had an attitude, which I didn't like, so the overall experience was far from good. On the positivo side, great view, and the food was ok.
The waiter was very busy and didn't tend to us very much...very minimal. The food was good. The view was wonderful. We got the wrong bill, no apology just 'I'll get the correct one'. For being the first time there and we told them it was not special. I guess because we didn't have a $300 bill.
I will try again but no time soon.
Excellent service and food! Loved watching the sunset during dinner. Great sky view!
If you decide to have dinner at the Chart House, in would recommend making reservations just prior to sunset. To watch the changes in the city from day to night is amazing. Good food, great views. A definite “must eat at” location.
We dined here in June 2021 during a heat wave, so it was a little warm. At first, the service was a bit slow, even to get our drinks. After starting with the calamari (very good and big portion) we ordered the special. I had lobster bisque, prime rib with mashed potatoes. My wife had the clam chowder and the bronze salmon and shrimp. We ordered a side of sizzling mushrooms but they never arrived. The desert was a very good lava brownie.
Food was decent…but way overpriced…should have expected this since it’s part of the Landry family of restaurants…our server was very slow, didn’t seem to care about us at all…we had to find her and ask for refills 3 different times…we won’t be back
Vacation. It was awesome to view the city while dining!
Lunch was absolutely perfect- highly recommended for a touch of class and air conditioning!
Food and atmosphere was great better than expected. As a Landry club member the wait even with reservations a little long 30 min
View was beautiful server was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations.
It could have been much cooler but other than being hot it was a great experience.
great visit! food was good, but don’t expect to get out of there quickly!
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make us feel special.
Our waiter Chris was OUTSTANDING! He went above and beyond to make our anniversary and lunch Fabulous. We enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Excellent food and service - enjoyed the view!! Elevator does not go up until 12 noon.
Lunch with the grandkids
was great food and great setting. However, we were promised we would get a text while we waited in the bar. Never happened. We ended up having to ask and then they looked at us like it was our issue and it was 10 minutes after our reservation.
Second time visiting. Without the live band the place is very noisy. Food is always great, they have high standards and good quality control. Service was a little slow as it felt we weren’t checked up on enough. It’s a must go if you live, or just visiting in San Antonio.
Great view with great food, drinks and service!! It was our first time and we’ll definitely be back soon
First of all, Nathaniel was a fantastic server!!! We need more people like him in this world! The food was outstanding and the view spectacular! Next time we are in SA, we will be back!
Food was excellent/would like to have rolls before dinner/ restaurant was very hot
Needed to be more air flow. I understand with the sun being right there it would be hot, but it just felt muggy
They need better air conditioning. The food was not what I expect from The Chart House.
Good Food, nice atmosphere but slow service and expensive for lunch.
We made a reservation for opening time of 12 noon and were greeted and seated promptly. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious!
The Chart House is a must-do when visiting San Antonio -- the views from the revolving restaurant are beautiful and when you have great food and service, it makes for a wonderful experience!
I loved it!!! I had a great date. I had good food and a lovely time.
Moving out of the area.
Brenda was an amazing waitress! And the food and experience was incredible!
The quality of food has gone down since I was last here in 2018. The food taste is mediocre. I think the only thing this restaurant really has going for it is the view.
The view was great and food was awesome but air conditioning was unable to keep up with the Texas heat. The extreme heat really ruined the experience. I would not recommend going in the summertime (maybe the heater works better).
The service was really bad & the food was awful. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone! The manager did nothing at all to fix the problem, so that was a big waste of time.
Great meal great environment
Food was great, service fantastic a little worm in temperature if you go during lunch time.
Great dining experience. The rotating view was spectacular! The server was really helpful and had great timing.
Fancy place! Good service! Nice view! Good food!
