2 Family vacations and dinner date and we had a amazing time.
The lightning was very dim, but aside from that it was a lovely experience with a nice view.
The food was wonderful and I the views were amazing. The service was great.
The only thing I would have to say is it took awhile for our food but overall we enjoyed it.
Food isn’t as great to be honest. I used to love the chocolate lava cake the only reason why I wanted to go. It is definitely not the same, extremely dry and almost cold.
Excellent food and awesome view from Tower of Americas.
Obviously, a lovely and unique location which is reflected in the price vs. quantity served... I will return for how special the view is.
We were 30 min early for our 8:15 reservation and did not get called to our table until 8:47. The bar was nice with live music so we were not upset in this instance. My steak cooked medium was not remotely warm and potatoes were room temp and very firm. The waiter promptly returned them to the kitchen and informed us he was having my meal remade. He returned with the same steak (I could see where I cut into the steak to try it) I had previously but now it was hot, and no longer medium. Potatoes were warm. My wife's shrimp and pasta was good but not overly warm. I would recommend this restaurant based solely on ambiance and experience but the food was most definitely not what we expect from Landry's. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing.
Overall the experience was typical. I was disappointed there was not any Calamari. The server was adequate but not exceptional..she was likely handling too many tables which was not her fault. Still gave her a great tip. The food was not hot as it may have sat in the kitchen too long.
Good food, lovely view and great service
I’ll be back!
Our first time visiting Chart House from North Carolina! We were blown away by the whole experience. We LOVED it and will recommend to anyone coming to San Antonio!
Our waitress was very fun and professional. She answered all of our questions and made the experience even better. Loved the view! So glad that there were options for item prices on the menu (it was not all too expensive or inexpensive, there were options for both). The salad, burger, and desert were all fantastic! Perfect ambiance for a romantic 3 year anniversary lunch!
Calamari was delicious as was the lobster bisque and prime rib. The ambiance and setting was a fun experience
Nick was great, funny, and amazing customer service and well mannered! Served us and refilled our drinks without us asking, everything was brought out quickly and we had an amazing night with our family to celebrate our mom for Mother’s Day.
The food was excellent. The view was nice. Service was perfect.
I loved the atmosphere. Took my Fiancée for Mother’s Day and it was great
It was very hot inside and some of the food was cold
The best in San Antonio
Occasion was Mother’s Day, it was my first time & it was an amazing first experience! Food was amazing & great waitress, I believe her name was Taylor!
Amazing environment.. The calamari is the best and the drinks. Totally recommend it. So romantic and the view are amazing.
Server Josh Amos was excellent and attentive to our needs.
The food was good, but the restaurant was loud. I wish there was soft music playing in the background, not rock and roll.
Previous crumbs on the seat and silverware not washed had paper stuck to butter knife. The service was great. The food is just okay.
Good good good good good good good good good good
Anybody who knows anything knows to expect mediocre food and service. Only went Bc my mother wanted to go. Wow, did they deliver that exact mediocre expectation and then some. Worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
Food was so good! First time there and will definitely be back
Go elsewhere or be prepared to spend a lot and do not expect perfect or great the only thing that was amazing was The View
Super unsatisfied!!!! We showed up on time for our reservation, we were seated very quickly and I appreciated that. We sat and waited for 15 min to finally have someone recognize We were there. It took 20 min to get our drink order and another 45 min b4 we received our food. Our food was warm and not cold. However my wife's order was wrong, I waited till she received her food b4 I started to eat and by then my food was supercold. The food was okay not great, with the prices we paid for the meal I expected alot more... After we finished our meal I let the waitress know we needed the bill so we can pay because of our parking situation, I paid for 2 hours of parking and we only had a few min b4 it expired. The waitress took an additional 20 min b4 I got the bill. I actually had to send my wife down to add more time to our vehicle because we ran out of time. This experience was very frustrating and I'm super unhappy with my dining experience. Please save yourself the trouble and eat elsewhere. There are many places around San Antonio that are less expensive and you will enjoy yourself with good service and wonderful food. If u want to enjoy the Tower of America, just go to the observation deck and leave 😊. If you want to feel frustrated have dinner there...
Great place, good service, and Heather Butler is a great line cook.
Perfect mother’s day
was too noisy for me. Elevator wait time was outrageous . Food came out so late and was overcooked
Great food/service, but it took FOREVER for EVERYTHING to reach our table. No matter how many times I called (20-50 times within a 2-3 week span) NO ONE EVER answered. Not a single time!!! Horrible phone service, yet an exquisite, delicious, and amazing menu.
Ambiance was great but a deep cleaning is needed for windows and window sills. Two food items I really wanted to try were not available: the prime rib was not ready until 4:00 (I was seated at 1:30 with a menu that included the prime rib with no 4:00 notation), and the restaurant was out of the mud pie dessert. Service was average. I waited 10+ minutes for each beverage from the bar. Shrimp and crab stack looked and tasted superb. Caesar salad was good-sized with shaved Parmesan. Filet mignon had a perfectly seared crust but was a bit undercooked for medium rare with a cold red middle. The 3 potato garlic mashed was uneventful with not much flavor. A bit of sprinkled chives helped. Lava cake made everything better!
The restaurant needs a lot of updating. It’s in poor physical condition- old carpet, threadbare chairs, napkin linens were old and pilled, tablecloths had ink stains. The windows and windows sills were dirty (on the inside) and had trash setting on them. The wall paneling is scraped up. There wasn’t even a hook in the bathroom stall for a purse. Had I known it was in that shape, I would have selected another venue for our special occasion. Unfortunately because of its condition, I will not return even for the view.
Having said that, the food was very good. Our waiter was nice and attentive although you could tell he wasn’t that familiar with the menu.
Wine tasting of 3 high end reds was really bad. They all tasted like vinegar. I did not drink any of them.
Found their selection of reds very weak. Stick with bar drinks
It had a beautiful view of downtown San Antonio. The restaurant was great and the food was really good. Tho the A/C wasn’t working and it got quite hot in there it’s was still really nice.
Wonderful experience. Our waitress Samantha was very friendly and on pint the whole time. The food was amazing, I had the filet and King Crab Legs and was very pleased with it my wife had a fish dish that was equally good. We will definitely be back next time we are SA.
