Chart House Cut
While visiting San Antonio, decided that we would celebrate our anniversary with a meal at the Chart House. We could not have chosen a better place. Everything about the event was outstanding from our courteous and attentive server(Sonny) to the fantastic food. As an added touch, our Lava Cake dessert was served with Happy Anniversary piped in chocolate on the plate. Outstanding!
We visited Chart House for lunch. The staffs were friendly from check-in to the waiter. The foods were good, but I didn't get what I want because it was out, so I got a substitute, but it was good! I deducted one star for air-conditioning was not cool enough, the window was not cleaned, and many flies were attacking our food. The view was incredible! I would still recommend the restaurant for nice view!
Very good service,food was awesome
Our server Lucy was awesome!!! Went above and beyond!!
Our server was very respectful, friendly and helpful as well as attentive to us, will definitely be going back !
A pre-anniversary dinner. The ambiance was perfect. The staff was very friendly. We were seated almost immediately. The food was delicious. My steak was cooked the way I like it. The view from the tower at night really sets the mood. The price wasn’t too bad either.
Our waiter..Ignacio was great
Made reservations well in advance (for 7), recieved text from restaurant 30 minutes prior to confirm, received another text saying table ready. Upon arrival our table was not ready, we waited awhile, inquired with the hostess again, then we were finally led to a table and had to stand in everyone's way while staff moved the table and added more seating. The glasses and plates on the table were filthy, the tablecloth was stained, and there was a dead dried up bug in the candle. There was quite a wait before the waitress came by. She took the dirty dishes and brought clean ones, and took good care of us throughout the meal. The food was good, fresh, presented beautifully. Initial impressions had us second guessing if we wanted to even stay and have a meal.
Had a reservation bit table not ready
Waiter poured champagne over my new dress with no offers to pay for the damage or even wipe myself clean of stickiness
Left early without anniversary dinner
We really enjoyed witnessing a beautiful Texas sunset as we waited for our meal to arrive.
Always a unique and lovely place to dine. We had a table of 4 and had the best seafood!
Absolutely incredible in every way!
Delicious food and great service. I definitely would recommend this to friends.
We were very excited since this was our first time going to the chart house but the night ended badly for us. The start of the night was pretty good the service was okay and pretty standard but as time went on we had a less than favorable experience. Our waitress forgot to bring our drinks our or put the order in at all we were very forgiving because we were having a nice time. Then our waitress brought our entrees out but left us and the food sitting for about 5 minutes to grab silverware and utensils. At the beginning of our dinner the waiter advised us that the lava cake takes approximately 30 minutes to make so if we’d like to order it be advised of that time. We decided he wanted to order it mid way through dinner (before we finished our entree) after we finished our entree we waited about 45 minutes and asked if the lava cake was still coming, she’d forgotten to put the order in so she rushed to put it in and told us it would be about 5-10 minutes. About 15 mins later she comes to tell us they ran out of ice cream and only had the cake. Moments later she offered to bring us strawberry or mint ice cream as it was still available. About 45 minutes after that (and hour and 30 minutes in total after we finished eating) we asked for the check, so we could leave. Upon receiving the check the lava cake that we never received was still on the bill. We asked to have it removed since we did not actually every get the lava cake and the waitress RELUCTANTLY obliged. Overall this ruined our experience and perception of the event especially since it was a surprise dinner for my partner who’d flown into town to visit and it was our last night that we got to spend together.
Everything was great! Food, view, service. The only downside was when ordering dessert. They didn't have our choice.
Top notch customer service from our waiter, Al. Excellent experience, as always, at the Chart House.
Food was not to our expectation for the price. Our server was great but I will not recommend Chart House Restaurant for the food.
No prime rib till after 4pm. Excellent food. Interesting history info on the observation deck, included with dinner. Can be very crowded on wk ends.
If your looking for a romantic place to take that special someone then look no further than the Tower of The Americas and Chart House.
Everything was great, food, waitress.. thank you thank you
You can't go wrong by dining at the Tower of the America's Chart House. The food is top notch and you will have a hard time selecting from their tempting menu. Make sure you plan to dine at sunset! You will be blown away!
Great customer service and great atmosphere. Food was good, my steak could've been better for the price but I was hungry and didn't want to wait on it again. Our waiter did ask if it was good.
We found the food to be better than what the reviews were saying! The service was professional and polite. The ambiance and view was spectacular! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary. They didn’t do anything special to recognize our anniversary which would have been nice, but it was still a great time.
You will see a beautiful view of Texas from the top of the Tower. The food was OK, but the service made up for it 'I GUESS' LOL. Overall it was a great time to spend with my family.
Everything was delicious I ordered prime rib and added a lobster tail to go with it
Beautiful views, obviously the tables rotate around so in the sun it gets hot and then the opposite side is great. Ordered a medium steak and it came out well done but our server was amazing and took care of the issue so quickly. Overall I’d say 4 out of 5.
Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday and an anniversary. Food was delicious and we did not feel rushed but were able to enjoy a leisurely meal and the beautiful view!
Food wasn’t the quality foe the price. Definitely paid for the view which was amazing.
The bacon avocado burger was superb!
I highly recommend it.
The food was fantastic. Be sure to try the calamari.
Excellent!!! Very nice touch with revolving restaurant. Food was superb and wait staff was attentive and professional! We’ve dined at many Chart House restaurants and were as impressed as always!!
Food was good, had the Filet Menion and Cheesecake. We were able to sit right down with no wait time. The service on the other hand was extremely slow and server was rude. I had to continue to ask for refills, it took 20 mins to get the slice of cheesecake and when we asked for the check she said "we will get it" and took another 20 minutes to return. Our seat had big rips. They asked if we were there for a special occasion, we were there for a 40th and 60th birthday, they did nothing ... so why ask? The view was amazing! But we were sitting for almost 2 hours just for lunch.
The food isnt that fancy, flavors arent really there. I guess it’s depending on what you get, i had the salmon and shrimp, not much flavors for that, i kept biting into little bones. The spinach dip is the best I had. I would definitely just go there for the experience of seeing the city and for some drinks. But I wouldnt eat there again. For the price we paid, you get little food. I guess because of the experience they overprice everything. My 4 year old had a blast and it was just a great experience being up there, that was the best part !
My fiancé and I came to San Antonio from Houston specifically for me to have my birthday dinner here. I was so excited and happy to be in a restaurant with such high standards. Everything was better than I expected. I wore a birthday sash and as I walked onto the premises people wished me a happy birthday. Upon entering the restaurant I was told the same thing by staff members and customers. I was even complimented by a family that admired my dress. Our waitress was superb. She was very attentive and polite. She took pictures for us, made sure to ask several times during the meal if everything was to our liking and also made sure our needs were met. Overall, we were very pleased.
Awesome!! Relaxing time at happy hour and then dinner to celebrate my friend’s new beginnings!!!
I had prime rib, was dried out and parts were crispy, had obviously been made and sat out waiting to be served, the sea bass my wife ordered also I suspect was actually cod. The taste and texture were cod and not sea bass at all. One elevator running to return you to the lobby meant 20 plus people waiting around trying to leave the restaurant. Tourist trap all day, not a good experience.
Excellent food and view.
Food was delicious. Portions were okay except they skimped on the asparagus (only gave me two pieces), which was the only vegetable. And the only gluten free dessert options were ice cream and sorbet. Main problem was the place needed a good scrubbing. Windows and windows sills were dirty. Dishes and utensils had dried food on them.
Glad we went! Lucia was the best server & the food was delicious!
Great food, stunning views and excellent service!!!
WAS way too "rich" for my pocket, but it was my younger half-sister's BIRTHday, so she got her meal and dessert. With my tipping the server, the meal cost me $120. The server was not always attentive or in view to observe drink requirements! But he was very polite and answered questions pertaining to our food questions.
