Chart House Restaurant - Tower of the Americas Ratings and Reviews
Should have been another option on the menu for Valentine's and it being ash Wednesday. Wasn't to happy with the menu. And a little to pricy for chicken rice and beans. And no rose petals at a table for four poeple when reserved for two. We have always been pleased with our visits there but a little disappointing this time.
Once seated we realized that they didn’t have the full menu available. We came for the filet but it wasn’t available so we ordered an appetizer and drinks. They must have been having a/c issues, it was unbearably hot in there. I’m not talking a little warm or stuffy, I was sweating. We quickly finished the appetizer and left. The restaurant staff were friendly and professional as usual.
Tooo my girl friend out for a special occasion and the service was great, our waiter was very kind and recommended amazing dishes. However it was very foggy outside so we didn’t get the scenic view of downtown so we will have to come back again. During our dinner a few of the servers or cooks in the kitchen got into a pretty heated arguement and were yelling at each other which was a huge distraction to our dinner.
Pleasantly surprised. Reviews kind of scared me but wanted a special place for my wife and I for Valentine's Day. Went Tuesday rather than Wednesday. Got there early (5:45pm). No lines at all. It was a foggy drizzly day so no view out the windows. Our reservation was for 8pm. The greeter had no problem moving our reservation up to 6:30. Angel and Diedra at the bar where friendly and helped us with our drinks. Had happy hour appetizers with the happy hour drinks. All were good. Wife had (I think) coconut shrimp and I had the prime rib. My prime rib was excellent. It is pricey, but I knew that going in. Nice place for special occasion.
The Tower was our End of GirlTrip 2018! luncheon just before some of my favorite ladies flew back to Phoenix. The staff was spot on from the ground floor up! Our server Dominique was excellent. Brian came by to make sure we had enjoyed ourselves, which we most certainly did! Even in heavy fog this place was a delight!
The place has a great view but the bar service was real slow. The dinner service was better once we waited 30 minutes past our reservation time. Two part members received cold almost raw prime rib when they ordered medium rare. Several in the party ordered different types of fish all of which they said was good..... so flip a coin if you want to go for the view.
Had the worst experience till date of any restaurant. This place was special besucase I proposed to my wife here. We went back to celebrate the one year mark of our engagement and our upcoming weeding. The server was rude, a smart a#% and was rude to my friends which we took as guests. He denied us bread and had to get up to ask the manager for complimentary bread. I told them I could pay for as much bread they would like I didn’t mind at all! The server was extremely rude and sarcastic. I am a very easy customer I know what it is like to be a foodserver. But this employee simply ruined our night
The food was amazing but the service was horrible. Our server was more attentive to other tables than he was to us. First he got my boyfriend’s order wrong, and then we never received our bread and he had the nerve to say that he burnt our bread and asked if we still wanted it, and I ordered a glass of wine that I did not receive until after we finished our meal. We still left a tip with all of the bad service because that’s just the type of people we are. I have to think really hard about returning.
First off, the food was delicious. My issue is that I made reservations far in advance specifically for this particular night. I specifically requested a window seat in an L-shaped booth. I understand the wait time to clean the table would be about 20 minutes. But, when I arrived, I not only waited 20 min from the moment I checked in, a hostess came by and told me it would be an additional 20 min wait for a window seat, and an additional 30 min to get an L-shaped booth (which I originally asked for in the reservation 2 weeks prior). I was pretty upset because it spoiled some plans I had for dinner, but nonetheless, I decided to wait at least for a window seat. At the end of the extra 20 min wait, the same hostess took us to a table on the upper deck, not the window that I waited a total of 40 min extra for even after having a "reservation". When I explained I was waiting for a table by the window, she seemed confused and said there were none available at the time. When I finally gave in (because I, and my fiance, was hungry and tired of waiting) I was seated at the table in the upper deck. The view was definitely not as I had planned for this particular date, and, to top it off, my and my fiance started getting motion sickness half way through the date. I have been to the Chart House restaurant in the Tower of the Americas plenty of times and have NEVER experienced this kind of lack of organization. For having paid the amount of money I did, for what was supposed to be an amazing night, I expected much more than the experience I had. It was unorganized to say the least, and, because of the extra wait time, my parking ticket had expired. To top it all off, we missed our show later that night, which also cost quite a bit. I sincerely can only hope that this issue will be resolved so that others won't waste their entire night due to the lack of another person's organizational skills.
I took my 13 year old daughter out on a Daddy-Daughter date. We got dressed up and had dinner at the Chart House Restaurant atop the Tower of the Americas. This was our third time dining here as it has become one of our favorite places to dine. The food, service and ambiance were great. ...and the molten chocolate dessert is unbelievable! We will visit again in the next 9-12 months to keep on pace of visiting at least once a year.
The entire night was very nice. We were greeted right away at the entrance. As soon as we got off the elevator, they called me by name and sat us right away with no waiting. Very nice setting especially the lighting. Waiter was awesome. However the food isn’t all that great. Steak dinner has no flavor or seasoning. Asked for a medium cooked steak and got a well-done. Still ate it cause i was hungry. The food was mediocre. But I would say your paying for the experience and setting than the food. If I ever go Next time, I would just go for a salad and water and then go to salt grass after🤔
The views are spectacular! The Kim Chee Calamari appetizer was THE BEST! Our meals were good as well, the grilled shrimp tasted slightly burnt but that was the only complaint. The restaurant is a very romantic setting, great place for Dates or Special Occasions!
The food and service were great but the yelling at the bar ruined the evening because you could not talk to the parties at the table because of the loud individuals at the bar drowned out everyone and must have thought that they should be heard by everyone. The first two trips were better last year.
So glad the chart house is now the restaurant in the tower. The previous restaurant was not very good. Went for dinner wth colleagues, we had the fondue as well as the coconut shrimp for an appetizer. For dinner we ordered the cedar plank salmon, snapper Hemingway, stuffed flounder and the Mahi. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. If I had one critique it would be that the margarita that I ordered was good but not quite the quality I was expecting for the price.
