We enjoy going to rotating restaurants and this was no exception. It is high above San Antonio which allows for a view of the city well beyond the normal perimeter. The food was well prepared and very good. I enjoyed the salmon with rice pilaf and steamed vegetables. My husband had the clam chowder (which was cooked to perfection) as well as the chicken and angel hair pasta. We had the lava cake for dessert and it was also wonderful. This is a great choice for an evening out!
The venue was spectacular with a revolving dining room giving 360 degrees view of San Antonio/ The best New England Clam Chowder I've ever had and I've had it many times in New England. The staff were very attentive and friendly. This is highly recommended but make sure you have reservations
15 years ago I ate here with my wife. It was some of the best food I have ever had. When I went back for my 15th anniversary, I just do not know what happened to the place. The wait staff, and the experience were outstanding, and our waitress made the experience great.
The food was terrible. I had the prime rib, and for over $30 I could get twice as much and better steaks ant any steak house in Texas. Seriously. Make the cooks work with Texas rad house for a while. a Medium Rare steak is supposed to have pink, mine had none.
Your seafood was over priced. Red Lobster has better quality for half the price.
The only thing this restaurant had going for it was its location, with a rotating view, and outstanding staff.
Bella our server made our Anniversary dinner fantastic!
Outstanding dishes at reasonable prices for an upscale restaurant. Of course the view from the Tower of the Americas was fantastic, but our server, Nell, made the night a fabulous experience. Kudos, Chart House, for an above and beyond dinner date success!
I enjoyed our family dinner, in spite of it being pretty expensive. I expected to pay quite a bit with gratuity, but it came to almost $100 for a party of 4 adults. Lovely dishes, delicious drinks, and wonderful service. Unfortunately, the day we came it was heavy rain, so I know my husband did not get the lovely view that I have seen there before. The windows could have some more plaques telling you what you were looking at, not just the direction. Some advice on parking - pay for more than 2 hours so you don't feel rushed, especially when the wait for the elevator eats into your relaxing time over your meal.
Overall, it was worth the visit.
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary which we noted when making the reservation. The wait staff sat us at a small private booth for our dinner. The ambiance and food were excellent. This is a restaurant sitting at the top of the tower in downtown San Antonio and it rotates so the views around the city were great. Our waitress was very attentive and efficient. I would recommend anyone visiting the San Antonio area.
Great views. Poor spotty service. Dirty utensils. Tough filet mignon. Dry overpriced.
Food was delicious! Scenery from 750 ft up was incredible!!! Patrick, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We Will dine there again when visiting San Antonio !
We could not have asked for a better 20th anniversary dinner. Venue, service, alcohol and food were beyond our expectation.
Lovely restaurant awful food,
Worst fish & chips we have ever had.
The waitress was amazing and very knowledgeable on recommendations with wine. Such a great restaurant.
Patrick was awesome! He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Great experience as always. Thank you!
A beautiful restaurant with an excellent view of San Antonio. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was unparalleled.
an amazing view, with some amazing foods. that my daughter loved for her 20th Birthday.
with a waitstaff that was so kind. David was awesome! we couldn't have had a better night. it was so much fun!
We celebrated a Birthday and it was awesome. Our waitress Youlanda was the best, she helped make our celebration extra special.
The "Must See" dining attraction in San Antonio. Food is outstanding, as well.
My mother and I were in San Antonio for a weekend trip for her birthday. We had a marvelous dinner at Chart House. The food was awesome, as was our server, Rachel. The view was incredible (our reservation was at 7pm so we had a good bit of sunshine followed by sundown and the night view). I highly recommend this restaurant. It certainly was a memorable evening and would have been even if it weren't for a special occasion.
Was the third time my wife and I have been. Have never left dissatisfied. In fact when we leave we really can’t wait to be back. Awesome place.
It was our first time, I’d recommend the experience but there’s much better food elsewhere in the city.
Basically I could not eat my food. The gazpacho was way too salty. The stuffed flounder with crab was swimming in butter and too salty. They were nice and offered me something else. I ordered a caprese salad with oil and vinegar on the side. Once again a salt bomb and the tomato looked really pathetic. The view was wonderful.
Service was above and beyond great. Surprised us with a special anniversary dessert that was exceptional. Food was top notch and view was unbelievable. One of the best times I can remember.
Food was not very good. Prime rib was overcooked.
From the moment we arrived downstairs until the time we exited downstairs. A great experience! My daughter was celebrating her 15th birthday and she loved The Chart House experience. She left with personalized menus made just for her. John, our waiter, was pleasant, friendly, and very helpful with our menu selections. He kept us posted on the status of our orders. And made pleasant conversation with our kids. The food was wonderful. Along with our cocktails. I had been to The Tower restaurant once before in high school. But this recent visit was much more enjoyable. We will be returning soon. Excellent! Thank you for making our daughter's birthday so special.
Went there for restaurant week and ended up ordering from regular menu. Everything was delish and Nick and Brandon, our servers, helped us with suggestions.
We’ve been here several times in the past with no issues. Went for our daughters 21st bday. Waited an hour for the food, waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time. Food was served cold and over cooked. Very disappointing.... Won’t go back.
Service was a little slow but I imagine it was because it was a Saturday night. The food was a little pricey but delicious.
Our waiter, John, was attentive without hovering. He is very knowledgeable of the menu and appreciate his recommendation of the avocado and crab cake stack for our starter - delicious! The stuffed flounder was the best I've ever eaten. The beautiful waterfalls outside and observation tower provided excellent photo opportunities. Chart House made our 39th anniversary memorable. Thank you!
We had a great dinner! Their caprese salad tasted so fresh, it was so delicate and delicious. Food was really good but not as good as our server Patrick. He was really kind and friendly. He made my fiancé’s birthday dinner extremely fun and easy-going. Definitely going back again soon!
I was a wonderful experience with my wife on our anniversary weekend it was my first time there and I will never forget the experience.
My husband and I dined at The Chart House 11 years ago and loved our experience. We were thrilled to come back to Texas to experience the incredible meal again, but were highly disappointed with our latest experience. Our steak was way over cooked and had zero flavor. I got passed it though in hopes my dessert would be as phenomenal as I remember 11 years ago. We ordered our desserts the same time as we ordered our food because we knew it takes them time to prep. The waiter on top of never filling our drinks, never brought the dessert. We waiting almost an hour to receive the most dry and gross lava cake I have ever had. On top of that, I asked for a coffee while we waited.....it took them nearly 45 minutes to bring the coffee to me. I know people have bad days. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for years, but this was unacceptable. I watched other tables service and it looked like their servers were great! There waters never got empty. So in conclusion, not only was our service bad, our meals and desserts were awful, and we paid nearly $200.00!!!!!! We expected it to be expensive, but we also expected to have a great experience and meal. We will never go back again and I would never recommend this place to anyone!
This experience was a birthday treat for my daughter’s birthday as well as my other daughter’s friend’s birthday.and off our bucket list.well worth it.food was costly but for that kind of ocassion well forth it.waiter /service awesome.would i go again absolutely a steak dinner just my husband and myself.
Rachel, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. She made the entire night. I hope we get her from now on.
Amazing experience. Our waiter David was amazing !!!! Beautiful Experience !!!!
Great food, and great time with the family.
You can’t beat the view!
Always a unique experience.
The food was fantastic, the view spectacular, the wait staff prompt and friendly and the ambiance superb. I have only one recommendation, be mindful of the sun when you go. I went with my mother at 5:30 P.M. so we were getting blinded by the sun everytime we swung around to the west. I recommend going when it's overhead or when it's setting.
Impressed with waitress professionalism, friendliness and most all very welcoming.
Overall great experience food was awesome service was a little slow but gradually picked up
