Lovely view. Food was good and service was good. I recommend it for a great place for lunch with out of town guests
We took a friend for a special birthday. The view is amazing. The cost is high for the serving size but we pay for the view. They gave her a birthday menu and candle on her lava cake. Nice touch!
Really good meal. Service so-so. Overall, still a great time
It was our anniversary. Visiting from out of town. Ambiance was very nice. Friendly staff. However, the food...not so much. The lobster Mac n cheese had a spec of cheese and no flavor. Staff took it back and gave us a complimentary bowl of cream spinach. Didn’t eat that either because some of it was cold. Just not good flavoring on the food.
Wonderful view, friendly and helpful staff plus a delicious meal equal a great experience. I am a Landry's member so I always enjoy eating at Chart House and this location did not disappoint. I would recommend a visit.
My friends and I came for dessert and drinks! I was very happy with ordering a tiramisu. I tried my friend's souffle and it was incredible! The waitress poured the cream into the souffle tableside, so it was fun to watch and we also appreciated how fresh it was. We went at night, and the city lights and skyline were so beautiful! San Antonio looks so vibrant at night. They have a killer happy hour, so we will definitely be back soon! Definitely a new go-to.
From the moment we entered the building to the minute we left, every staff member made us feel welcome...thank you one and all
The food is terribly overpriced and the service was moderate. Good fun to see the city as you dine. Maybe go for apps and drinks. It just isn’t worth spending so much on dinner. The food was not the best.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because all of the waiters were at the entrance to the restaurant standing they didn't even greets. The restaurant was almost empty so we asked for a table near the windows and the manager said that they couldn't move the tables. So we told them that my husbands daughter was visiting from Seattle, Wa. and she had never been to the Tower and she wanted to sit near the window, they still didn't want to accommodate us. We had to make a big fuss and then they accommodated us. We spent almost $300.00 in a restaurant not worth $5.
The food was excellent and the waitress was very nice and always checking up on us to see if we needed anything else!!! Love this place especially the food
Great view, some what dark in there if you are going past sunset, great service. Would definitely go back.
Amazing view , food delicious nothing like this friendly atmosphere, cozy l love it l will definitely be back , l drove from Houston Tx just to come eat here l love it
Dishes and silverware were dirty and had to be sent back.
Our food was not brought out together. Steaks were cold and over cooked. I went ahead and ate 1/4 of my steak my friend returned hers and didn’t get hers until we were completely finished with our meal and we ate slow. The waitress never offered refills for our tea. We asked for ice because the teas hardly had ice she kept forgetting it. She forgot the salad dressing and then she brought a tiny amount. I was so disappointed. I’ve had dinner there a few times and really enjoyed it. Saturday I was really embarrassed for having made that choice. Epic fail!
Meh. We went for the view. I don’t expect much because it’s a
Great service by our waitress and all the staff wishing us a happy anniversary.
Everything was so amazing and the food was great, but the view is impeccable!
The experience was great but the food could have been better especially for the price. The waitress was amazing tho.
Did not get yo have dinner my date got sick. Because she notice the place was moving. But I’m coming back to have dinner
From the Hostess from the lobby to the elevator operator to the Happy Hour Bar to our table at the restaurant everything was just perfect. The drink were wonderful and the food was delicious and the service was as spectacular as the continuous changing view. The pricing was reasonable and we definitely left with a smile on our faces, it made the whole San Antonio experience memorable. I strongly recommend the Chart House Restaurant a destination location when ever your in San Antonio, its a must see as well as experience.
Great food, and awesome service. Haven't been here in over 20 yrs and still Great views and outstanding food. Very attentive service, unique drinks. I great first date night, anniversary or business lunch/dinner spot.
Everything was done promptly and professionally. We got seated right away, there was barely any wait time. Our server gave us great recommendations and was very professional. Girlfriend and I had a wonderful time here and we’re looking forward to come back!
Our waitress Jane was awesome, very attentive and friendly. Of course the view was spectacular and the food was very good.
Visiting from out of town, loved it here! Perfect for date night.
As usual, all was superb. I am at this restaurant three times a year for my grandsons' birthdays and I, as well as my grandsons, are always very pleased.
Waiter was super friendly and helpful. Food was great
Restaurant with great views of San Antonio. The food was very good. Expect to pay a little more for the view but if you want a special night out it's worth it. The service was excellent. A manager even came over to the table to make sure everything was to our liking. Our party had both fish dishes and steak and they were both tasty and prepared perfectly.
Muy buen lugar
Had a great experience. Our server, Carla, was helpful in our drink and sides selections. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our needs. She made our experience pretty great! As for the rest of the restaurant, the staff was extremely friendly, making us feel very welcomed.
My best friend was in town from Florida. I love the Tower and my husband and I have spent serious money there. It's a beautiful place. I just HAD to take my best friend! I made a reservation earlier in the week then we went on Saturday evening. We arrived and the hostess was very kind and we didn't wait long. We were seated and our waitress was "Jeanette". Jeanette was fine at the beginning. We decided to have a cocktail, appetizer, and of course the chocolate cake.. delicious, right? Doing tourist things all day with my friend meant eating at weird times and we just were not that hungry. The MOMENT.. we told Jeanette we were just doing and appetizer and desert she completely checked out for our table. She barely came by our table and if she did.. she didn't look us in the eye and was just plain rude! It was such a bad experience and ruined what was supposed to be a great LAST night of my best friend in town.. we were both upset by such bad service as I've never had this issue before. The sad thing is.. had she actually treated us with respect- I would've tipped well regardless of our bill amount. I'm very upset about this and now i'm not so sure I will be going back anytime soon or recommending the Tower to all the army wives as I usually would. How ridiculous.. I even tried to give this lady the benefit of the doubt thinking, "maybe this is just how she acts normally" but my guest made it clear to me that this was not the case and she heard our server with the couple behind us. I guess they must've gotten an entree..............
If you’re visiting and want to have good food there are endless opportunities on the ground. The service was excellent, the setting was amazing, but the food was overpriced. I do suggest having drinks (great selection of handcrafted cocktails) or some appetizers in the lounge, but the restaurant itself is somewhat of a tourist trap. Try the Landry’s seafood (operators of the Chart House) on 517 N. Presa or the various Longhorn steakhouse locations for similar food at a better price.
Overall pretty good. My filet mignon was overcooked though which I didn't find satisfying for 50$.
We came for my boyfriends 21st birthday - they even put a happy birthday title on our menus! It was very sweet.
The whole atmosphere was very luxurious. Carlos was an Amazing Server, definitely request him if you can! Food was great and we didn't have to wait too long for it! We had the Ribeye and New York Strip - they just melt in your mouth, had great flavor! Try for a window table has wonderful views. We will be returning when we are back in San Antonio! Thanks for a great memorie Chart House!
The view was excellent! The noise was extremely loud and it was hot. The food was cold when it arrived, the prime rib was raw. The swordfish taste like it was going bad. The only reason for the 2 rating was strictly for the few. This was my first and last visit.
I think the food was just okay. With the fish, I had only rice. You would have to pay extra for a salad or another side. I think that is a rip off. I expected better. I enjoyed the coconut shrimp appetizer. I think it would have been nice if it was in the evening and the view would have been better. I will try again and maybe get a better experience.
We were there to celebrate my son's graduation from USAF BMT and birthday. The waiter didn't bother to ask me what type of dessert he should bring out. He brought out a coffee cheesecake and unfortunately my son does not like coffee. I would recommend having your waiter's ask what should be served in advance.
We thought the food and service was excellent. Our serve very friendly and knowledgeable. Fantastic view of San Antonio. Didn't feel rotating after awhile.
Overall, our experience was just OK. The food was just good but the experience was...Odd to say the least. When we arrived, the place was fairly empty as we arrived between the dinner rush and the late dinner rush. We were promptly seated at our table and our waiter took our drink order and appetizer order immediately. We waited no less than 25 minutes for our drinks to be delivered to our table and during that time, our waiter did not stop by our table to apologize for or explain the delay. Our appetizer, surf and turf tartar arrived after about 40 minutes. It was certainly very slow service for a restaurant that was not busy. We ordered our meal, and THEN our waiter delivered bread to our table...odd timing. When our food finally arrived after about another 40 minutes, my filet was over done. While the waiter and the person who delivered the food offered many many times to get me a new filet, I declined their offer bc I just did not feel like waiting anymore...I was starved!
Regarding the food, both my lobster bisque, surf and turf tartar and lobster mac n' cheese had lobster shell bits in it and my steak was overdone. My husband said his food was good though, so maybe it was just wasn't my night.
Overall, the service was just OK. I think our waiter was new to the FINE dining industry. You could tell he was trying, but he was definitely inexperienced. All of our utensils were oddly misshapen as well...
During our meal, a handyman of some sort kept walking around fixing things....couldn't that be done off hours?
It was just an odd experience. One that would be comical somewhere else perhaps, but not when you are paying for, and expecting fine dining. Unfortunately, I won't be back to this location, and will not be recommending it either, but can't 100% rule out visiting another Chart House location.
It was our Anniversary and I'm so glad we spent it here. As we truly enjoyed ever bit of our evening.
