Beautiful night view, nice knowledgeable waiter, great tasting food. We had a amazing time.
Our server Nathanial was amazing ! He made thoughtful recommendations and answered all of question thoroughly. We were celebrating our anniversary everyone made sure our night was special we even got a card signed by the servers! It was the best night ever not to mention the amazing view !
We had a lovely waitress, young college girl can’t remember her name but you could have a nice conversation with her. Of course the view is incredible.
You're basically there for the view. Food was okay, I've had better for less and the service could've been better as well, more attentive. This is the kind of place you go to once just for the experience.
Everything was excellent all the way around. One of the smoothest best tasting margaritas I’ve had. Can’t wait to do a happy hour here . They even put my daughters name on the menu personalized, beautiful and exciting touch for her to feel so special!!
my wife and i were celebrating our anniversary we were trap in the elevator for several minutes the staff didn't know what to do i was the one that open the doors and no even a thank you afterwards
Birthday dinner for my partner. Food and service were excellent. Beautiful ambience even with the thunderstorm.
Food was delicious and they were very accommodating
Food was better than expected based on other reviews I read. Ambiance and service were great.
I would absolutely recommend Chart House Restaurant - Tower of the Americas! The ambiance was very nice...calm, quiet, cozy, with an incomparable view. We had lunch reservations and my entree was the Prime Rib French Dip sandwich. I can honestly say this was the most delicious French Dip I have ever had! The bread was crispy but not hard, the meat was sliced thin enough to never have a problem biting off, the onions and cheese were perfect. Au jus is often too salty, but this was rich and seasoned perfectly. Delicious! For dessert, we had the Hot Chocolate Lava Cake...ooooooohhhh my goodness! Perfection! We split it and it was so rich that was a good choice.
Yes, the price is more than what you would pay at many restaurants on the ground, but not by much, but lunch was an 'experience.' Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all, we couldn't have been happier! Highly recommended!
Our only negative comment is that the entree that one of us was planning to order was unavailable, this at 6:30 on a Wednesday. Very disappointing. The second choice was good and the other person's first choice was good. The wait for the single operating elevator was a bit annoying, not sure why the other one was not available.
The food was not good as usual.
We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 20 th Birthday. She turns 20 on the 20th of January 2020! It’s her golden birthday, but she had to go back to college and we’ve been planning a unique celebration for a very long time. Thank you so much for making this memory so perfect!
We came for a celebration. I made the reservation online and indicated that. I called ahead to clarify questions. My concern was that we wanted to use the happy hour menu but be able to rotate as it was a special dinner for our children. I was assured that this would not be a problem and they grant this request all the time for special occasions. We walk in, get seated, and were told "no". I spoke with a manager and they had no sympathy and said it "could not be done". We did not want the dinner menu as we did not find that appetizing, cost was not a factor. They said they could maybe bring one or two appetizers down but that was it. We decided to move if we could get a good view. They tried to seat us in the "group" area of the bar but you could barely see out half the windows, couldn't see downtown, and were blocked by several tables of people "because of our children". We asked to move so they could see better. After speaking with two managers and finally getting tables available ourselves we were seated 40 min after our reservation. We ordered plenty of food and drinks and even dessert. That was all enjoyable and our server was efficient and kind. However, our treatment by management was very poor. Never once an apology. Never once treating us as well as we saw them treating others. I never yelled, spoke angrily, I never was rude. I was upset but stated it in a very good manner. At one point I started crying because I felt our night was going to be ruined and he just started at me. I said "I feel like no one cares, even if we were given wrong information, no one has apologized or offered a solution, I've had to come up with them all." He said "ok". We visit San Antonio often and have been to the TOA previously. It's been a fun experience and we thought we'd get that again. However, after our treatment and experience we will not be returning. I'd rather pay more for better treatment than return to TOA.
Overpriced. Food delivered cold. Meat serve raw and cold inside although I ordered med well. Server attempted to removed plate while I was still chewing food. I had to grab my plate back. Very disappointed 😞
This is a place that you have to go to to experience San Antonio. You can see the whole city and the surroundings. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is electric.
The food, service and ambiance was excellent. The food from the appetizer to the salad and my steak was Superb. My ribeye was cooked to perfection.
Such great experience. My waitress was very nice and quick.
Celebrating birthday's at the Chart House has become something we love to do now. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious, the cocktails are out of this world. Our waiter, AJ, was humorous, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back again. Always use Open Table for reservations, it makes for a smooth process and you don't have to wait for your table to be ready once you arrive.
Amazing food! Seriously fine dining at its finest! Service was top notch! We go once or twice per year for a treat to ourselves! If we could afford more often, we would.
Happy hour and weekday lunches are more reasonable!
Was husbands Birthday gift
We both enjoyed it so much
It was our first time to dine of the different dishse here. Food was very good. The waiter was very knowledgable in the menu items
Excelente vista y comida, la música muy agradable, lo único que no se me hizo malo, mas si no lógico es que habían muchas mesas solas y en un momento dado muchas personas esperando
Waiter took over 10 minutes to acknowledge us and then took 10 minutes to bring us water. Also two of us got our food and the other two had to wait over 5 minutes to get theirs.
Overall experience was nice, no waiting, but I do have to say, our server gave us horrible service. We had to constantly have to be looking for someone to call our waiter to get something, it was ridiculous.
There was not many customers but our waiter was not too attentive. Other than that, it was a great experience.
We had an absolutely fabulous time. The food was delicious! Our server Jose was phenomenal. Couldn't have asked for a better time.
Loved the experience and the food, service was great, but it was uncomfortably warm in the entire restaurant, especially the waiting and lounge area. It was slightly better when we were seated and I mentioned it to the host. She advised she was as told not to turn on AC, it did kick on a couple times while we were dining, if the temperature had been better it would have been excellent experience
The ambiance, service and food was excellent!
We wanted to finish off our vacation with a dinner at Chart House. We had a great seat next to the windows, which allowed us to see the city at night. The food was good, but definitely not the best that we had in San Antonio. I'm glad we went but doubt that this would be one we would return to in the future.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in San Antonio. The Chart House was a great choice. The staff were very friendly. They even signed a card for us. We had crab bisque for our appetizer and it was one of the best we have had. Our food was everything we wanted. We even had the Lava Cake for dessert and it was fabulous. We had a great experience.
The waiter seemed very “put off” b/c We were only going to have an appetizer and a drink. He barely came back to check on us, and seemed rude when he took the money for the bill and his tip! My Mac & Cheese was luke warm at best.
Very disappointed in Landry's (and the City of San Antonio as Owner) that this is the service offering they choose to provide at this iconic landmark. Furnishings are worn and dated. Staff aren't provided uniforms resulting in mismatched and dull attire. Food was acceptable but not worth the prices charged. Service was slow and the overall feel of the place was dirty from the dining area to the bathrooms. I recognize that we went on New Year's Day but it is the operator's job (and supposed expertise) to provide service and cleaning at an appropriate level.
If out of town guests express an interest in dining there as mine did, I suggest you discourage it.
The food was very good and the waitress was very nice. The restaurant needed a little deep cleaning, but it was the day after New Year’s Eve. All and all it was a good experience. I will go back again.
Nice view...good food and unique experience
Great all around, fantastic food and service.
View was spectacular but bathrooms were horrible! Apparently, staff does not use restroom to know he needed cleaning. Disgusting to be in such a niece place but get to restroom to have stomach turned inside & out.
