Chart House Restaurant - Tower of the Americas
Always have an excellent time at Chart House Tower and Bar. Service is exceptional and there is nothing that beats the view.
Our server (Ernesto) was awesome! Very attentive and very personable! The food was one of the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The view was great, and kept our 2 year old occupied and happy the whole meal! Quite pricey, but definitely worth the trip. We will be going back for sure!
It was my Birthday and everything was exceptional... Our waiter was excellent!!! Beyond excellent!!
great service, and drinks. the food was good, maybe not as great as I expected for the price but still good.
The view was obviously the best, Patrick, our server enhanced the whole experience. Took his time and helped us make a great dining choice.
I had poor customer service from my waiter and when I left I actually uncommon to me left no tip. The waiter then came to me at the elevator in the presence of my daughters who I took out for their birthday and told us how we are crappie and that he only gets $2 dollars an hour and stood there tell us we need to put a tip. I was so angry but remained professional only because my daughters where there. I was so angry over this and do not expect this from such a restaurant. I have eaten here before and had a better experience so would still recommend this but someone should talk to this waiter about customer service and then about harassing someone over a tip he didn’t deserve.
Great experience, terrific food. I'm not sure why it was as busy as it was, and the crowds that were there did not fit into the ambiance of the overall experience; it almost felt like a club. Still, we had a great table and a wonderful view. Two people: a little over $200, if you're wondering about the price, but completely worth the experience. Ask for a window seat 😉
Anniversary dinner. It was all amazing.
Food was done wrong and it was cold. Only saw my waitress 3 times the whole time I was there. It's not worth it for the price.
The children’s menu is pretty basic and you must ask for a vegetarian menu as it is slightly different than the regular menus
It was a lovely night out. I’m so happy we decided to celebrate here.
Time was when locals avoided dining at Tower of the Americas, but Landry's Chart House has changed that. It's still an indulgence, but fine food (mostly seafood and beef) and excellent service round out the superb views of San Antonio.
Superb meal, good service, fantastic view.
Absolutely wonderful evening at the chart house at the towers of America. Service was amazing, food was even better! If I ever come back to San Antonio the chart house will be a number 1 place to visit again! They even gave my mom a personalized menu for her birthday!
I would recommend this place to others. The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful.
Chose for our 32nd anniversary. Even with an 8:15pm reservation for which we arrived early, we still had to wait 30 min longer to finally be seated. Table service was also substandard as we had to wait longer than reasonable for everything: water, menu, drink order, desert, check, receipt. Everything else was fine. Service at every step needs attention just to be 4-star. Unfortunate that such a top notch venue would be so disappointing.
Wait in line elevator up: 20 mins
Not seated until 45 min past reservation time.
Wait in line elevator down: 10 min
$15 parking, ordinary Thursday night, lot mostly empty, no special events evident. Sign said $5.
Steak good. Cake mush.
So loud server had to repeat everything. And I was on the outer rim.
Excellent filet millón and prime rib. Views were amazing and food was perfect.
Great date night coming from Houston. Great experience will come again!
Everything was PERFECT❗️I had been there in many years and it was such an elegant experience and I will never forget it! We will definitely be back for my next memorable night❗️❗️❗️
A great menu that is always being updated!
The service was amazing, the food not worth the price. For $51 I expect my filet mignon to melt in my mouth, and it did not I had to saw it with my knife. The atmosphere was amazing, and the view of the city was nice. However I have no intentions of eating here again, unless it's made for dessert or maybe a couple of drinks.
A great birthday dinner with fabulous service. We arrived right at sunset and enjoyed the evening skyline as we dined. Everything was as expected except for the woman coughing up a lung behind us and making out with her boyfriend at the table. Certainly not the restaurant’s fault but that would be the only flaw in the evening.
Had to look at menus with flashlights from our phones due to the restaurant being so dark. Several other tables did the same thing. Best thing we ordered was Poke bowl. Rest of the food was sub par and we asked for bread no less than 5 times. Eating here when I was younger, I remember a different experience.
Excellent food, prepared perfectly. Service was wonderful and professional and made it a great evening to enjoy and be comfortable at a nice restaurant with my wife.
The location and view are the best things about this place. I've had better food.. like, it wasn't even top 5 in my list. And not even the best place I ate in San Antonio the 4 days i stayed there. The service was pretty bad. Forgot my drink order, brought out bread at the end of the meal because they forgot, sat us at two different tables because they were unprepared, reservation was at 6:45 and they called about 5-6 names for people that had 6:30 reservations who weren't there or "checked in", happy hour ended at 7 and I wanted to get a round for cheap, since I had 6:45 reservation. Didn't get sat until 6:55, waiter never showed, thats when the hostess said she sat us in the wrong table, moved us, then they informed me at 7, when the happy hour was over, THAT THE HAPPY HOUR IS ONLY UPSTAIRS, and that I could have been waiting up there for my table the whole time..... then the food wasn't even that great. I had the swordfish, one of the recommended. Really disappointed. The appetizer, kimchee calamari, was really good.. best thing of the night, tied with the lobster tail. Which again, is more in the meat itself than the preparation. So.. disappointed on the food and service. Especially when comparing it to the Reunion Tower in Dallas experience. Not even close. But the view, rotating room, and some of the ambience and lighting made it for a fun expensive date. Won't be returning, but that is my feedback
Our grandson loved your restaurant, especially the revolving..We had shrimp cocktail, which he loved, crab cake which was just okay and the lobster bisque which was barely warm, not hot at all! Experience was awesome, food not as good ad we expected, hopefully better next time..
Needed to have some serious conversation with my sister so I requested a quiet/secluded booth and even though it was a full house and very energetic, they accommodated us!
Love the Chart House and tonight lived up to the standards.
Love their appetizers and deserts. The view is amazing even in drizzle. Everyone should go at least once.
Being honest, we go there only for the view.
It was the first time I went with our baby to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I realized there isn't a changing diaper station. I noticed there is space enough in the restroom, just don't understand why they don't put a small changing table there.
The food is expensive for what you get but for the view it worth it.
Great food, fun and experience.
We come every year for my wife’s birthday and this was our 4th year and it was very disappointing, food was rushed and not cook right and our waiter took super long with things we ordered and it was super cold we couldn’t enjoy our meal. For the price I’m paying I think we deserve a nice warm cooked meal, we love coming here .... hope you guys make it right.. Thank you for having us
We celebrated the birthday of my mother-in-law who was visiting from the Virgin Islands.
The staff made my wife feel extra special for her birthday dinner
Appetizer and salads were very good, but the main course was a let down. The food was not hot, the Veggies were barely cooked and the salmon was very bland, although the filet and the shrimp were very good. No complaints for the wait staff. They were very good. The ambiance is all about the view and the windows were not clean. Face prints and hand prints were too prevalent, especially for early in the evening. For the money spent, the overall experience did not meet our expectations..
Our weekend get away trip.
This place is over hyped in my opinion!! I get the just of it but food option is very minimal and overpriced! My visit got seated quickly which is a plus but no waiter or anybody come up to usfor like 20 minutes! My opinion is to just go up to the bar and check out the scenery with a drink or two!!
Great meal in a lovely environment.
It was our 5th wedding Anniversary. They went above and beyond to make it special. Thank you for running a top notch operation.
