Chart House Restaurant - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Excellent service and attention to detail. My husband had the salmon and I had the swordfish. Both were delicious, but our waiter and the entire staff should be how every restaurant should treat their customers. Go take notes at Chart House! Keep up the good work.
Two couples arrived on time for reservation. Desk personnel seemed confused re table we were assigned to. Five minutes later we were seated. Server took our wine orders. Waited about 10 minutes or more for drinks. Server said bar was backed up! App was oysters on half shell. Delicious but after finishing them, plate was left until entrees arrived! So service not to expectations for cost. Food was excellent. Two salmon and two snapper dishes were very good. Bar service and busboy training needs improvement.
We booked this as a 76th birthday celebration. When we were seated there was no recognition that it was a special occasion. Previously we’ve had personalized menus., but not that night. We also mentioned to the server who brought the bread but still no acknowledgment.
When we mentioned that to the GM, he tried to make it Open Table’s fault not his. Never owned the responsibility for them dropping the ball.
So long as he is gm of that location we do not plan to return.
I received a $25 invitation for my birthday. As far as I understood we only had to make a reservation and the certificate would be applied automatically to the bill.
We went one day before my birthday to have dinner with 2 other people. Next day when I asked my husband if the $25 have been deducted from the check he said no.
I usually look forward to dining at the Chart House but recently those elements that attracted us have changed and our experience has gone down hill this past year. (This includes food ,drinks and service) At least the management was very good about handling our concerns) Wish it were different because we frequently enjoyed going there.
The ambience was nice. The waiter untrained and slow. We waited 1 1/2 hours from the time we ordered until our meal was served and and they were brought to the table one at a time. We were a party of 11 and by the time the last people got their meal the first meals were either cold or finished. Then two of the orders were incorrectly cooked. Steak was ordered and we asked for 6 steak knives. The waiter brought two and had to be asked to bring the additional 4.
The experience was awful and none of the 11 people will ever return.
My family has been coming to Chart House for special occasions for over 30 years. This is the first occasion that we were not totally pleased. We did not receive our breads before the soup course was served; the main courses, although delicious, were presented barely acceptable in temperature (mine-stuffed shrimp) and cold ( my wife's). They corrected my wife's fish and apologized, but this was a departure from many previous visits. As always, the ambiance and the service was high quality. While we would certainly return, this was disappointing.
We are never disappointed at the Chart House. The food is always excellent and prepared correctly. I tried the Prime Rib for my first time and it was the leanest cut I have ever been served - cooked perfectly and so delicious! If you go you must try their sizzling mushrooms - we order these every time we eat here, they are amazing!!
Got seated 40 minutes after reservation. Waitress never brought refills, or bread. Filet was grossly undercooked, then brought back charred. I ordered it medium. Picture is after they burnt the outside to make it medium rare. You’d be very happy going to steak 44 or maestros. Pretty view, but not worth the hassle. Will never return.
loved every other chart house we’ve been to so it was very disappointing when we had to wait 25 min past our reservation time and then have the drink orders mixed up then the entrees were missing sides and some plates were cold... when asked about the missing sides we were told they were out of certain items so they subbed veggies (without mentioning first and without apology or recompense) whole meal took over 3 hours
I have lived in the Scottsdale area for 40 years. I grew up going to Monterey and then Chart House at this location and always recognized it as a fabulously special spot, so, as we've done some many time before wanted to take my husband for his birthday.....However, unfortunately, this last experience was anything but fabulous.
The service was tough. Took a long time to be seated, even with a reservation. Could not get bread, beverages etc that were requested. Food was poor. Always such a wonderful meal and this time was a real disappointment. Steak was fatty, fish and pasta flavorless. Even the salad bar left a lot to be desired.
With the prices being much higher than most other establishments with similar menus and years of enjoying this location, the overall experience was a serious disappointment. Verd sad
Just not up to par. The table/ seating was not good --- the tables for 2 are seated side-by-side which is awkward and definitely not conducive to a nice meal with your date. The bench seat I was on had a big lump on it, and no way to move the table to avoid it. The whole meal was awkward because of the seating, so I won't be recommending this and won't be back. The bar looked nice, but no one ever waited on us in there either.
The quality of food was disappointing for the price. All four in our party was surprised that our meals lacked taste. We have dined at Chart House many times and it's always been very good. This was an anniversary dinner for both of our couples so we have decided to go eslewhere in the future.
