Third time visiting (we live out of country). Went there for a birthday dinner. Received VIP treatment. Service a bit fast. Dinner arrived while still eating appetizers. Requested a window seat, but told first come first serve. Within 10 minutes of our being seated, 3 window tables became available. We were not moved. Otherwise was a perfect night.
Our dinner was perfect as usual. We will be coming back again!! Our waiter John was also great!!
We had not been back to Scottsdale in a while and decided to eat at the Charthouse. It was very good. Although when I ordered the Mahi it was a bit undercooked so the waiter happily took it back and had it recooked. On top of that our dining experience had fireworks that were being shown outside as their were weddings going on across the way. It was a nice addition to our dinner. We would definitely return in the future.
Disappointed. It was not up to expectations. Salad bar seemed weak. Appetizers took forever. Service was terrible from drinks through the meal. Not sure if problem was the bar and the kitchen or the server. Vowed not to return.
Was a great meal and the waiter ( John ) did a fabulous job and is definitely a repeat when we are back in Scottsdale!😎
This was a reunion with some family members. We had s great time and the food and service were great but the cost was high relative to the food quality.
Food and service was great. We will go there again.
We received first class treatment, as always. The salad bar is the best ever, and my wife enjoyed her salmon.
Celebrated a birthday at the Chart House, and it could not have been any better. Everything was excellent including the superb wait staff.
Disappointing visit at an old favorite. Prime rib was overcooked, medium rare arrived brown all the way through. Server addressed it by swapping with another diner who didn't mind overdone meat.
We always get a great meal at this restaurant. The deals for restaurant week were fabulous. No skimpy portions or uninteresting meal choices.
Very nice restaurant, but I will never go back for their Restaurant Week specials. Portions were ridiculously small (4 Oz piece of sea bass!), although tasty. If I hadn’t had 3 of their delicious dinner rolls, I would have gone home hungry. Chocolate creme brûlée tasted like chocolate pudding, so we didn’t eat it.
That said, if you want a special-occasion restaurant and have no problem spending big bucks, this is a lovely place to go and order from the regular menu.
We have eaten at the Chart House in Scottsdale for 20 years. Our previous visit was not very good - but we decided to give them another chance. One member of our party sent back the crab cakes for being fishy, 2 members of our family were not happy with their steaks - very dry even though they were medium and medium rare. The asparagus was tough and bitter and garlic mashed potatoes were cold and the salad bar was not stocked. We will not return!
Great food great service and beautiful location. I would recommend to everyone
The calamari was mixed with fried veggies and white curly crispy noodles and I would prefer just the calamari. The sushi was ice cold like the rice was almost freezing temp and fell apart when you tried to pick it up... very disappointed on the sushi roll but the fish inside was fresh and edible. The prime rib was delicious and the dipping sauce outstanding. It was cooked perfectly, however, the potatoes were dry and flavorless. The service was ok. The server was short and cold with us like our questions or request were annoying. Her responses were sarcastic but harmless. She did her job but was unpleasant. The ambiance was excellent and romantic with fire light around the facility. The lighting was dim and the noise level low so you could hear your guest. We probably won’t go back. We like places like Eddie V’s and Maggiano and are never treated like they are snooty... this restaurant felt unexpectedly snooty. I would still recommend it for a date and perhaps to an older crowd.
Everything was perfect. Our server, Lori, was amazing. Food was awesome, view was great ... entire dinner was very relaxing and enjoyable!
Food was excellent. Server was good. Beautiful venue. Hostess had an attitude, but we overlooked her, because everything else was enjoyable.
Nice booth. Quiet and with a lovely view. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Service was very good for most of the meal, however as we progressed to dessert, there was no cutlery. We needed to ask to have water replenished, as well. We had the meal offered for restaurant week, and I would say it was average at best. I would recommend the restaurant for happy hour.
First we had reservations and when we get there they said they are running behind and we are looking at a 15 minute wait for our reservation. Then when we got seated it took about 15 minutes for our drinks to come and about 30 minutes to bring out the bread. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy. We then ordered the calamari and it was greasy. Each meal we ordered came out slow and wasn’t even hot. I then ordered the prime rib as my main course and it was the worst prime rib I’ve ever had. It was dry and tough, I could barely cut through it with my knife. The flavor was awful and bland. My dad even tried it and said this isn’t something he would even give to our dog. I had high expectations for this place and I was highly disappointed. I don’t think I would ever come back.
Our party of 4 All ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. All ordered the prime rib and we all found it quite good. We have been to Chart House restaurant week other years and have always found it to to be very satisfactory.
Restaurant is attractive and the service was excellent. Most important thing for my wife and me, however, is the food and, unfortunately, our meals were just okay. Compared to other seafood restaurants we've been to, Chart House simply did not compare.
An elegant sophisticated dining experience. Fresh new food with old world service.
Very nice atmosphere nicely lit. The food was just ok. 1st course came out quickly. Waited a bit for the entree and 1st course dishes to be removed. Waited almost 30 minutes for dishes to be removed. Waited another 20 minutes for dessert. Was never asked if we wanted another beverage, couldn’t find our server. The place was very clean and comfortable which is fortunate since we had to sit and wait so long.
Arizona Restsurant week
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food, but it was restaurant week. The entrees were tasteless, although the prime rib was supposedly a standard fare.
Great seabass and nice setting. Very good meal
Have been to many of the Chart House Restaurants over the years, including Lahaina HI and Monterey Ca, but had not been to one in a few years. The quality seems to have gone downhill, especially at the salad bar which used to be the highlight for me. The ingredients don't seem as fresh as before, and the maintenance was mediocre. Once saw Clint Eastwood at the salad bar in Monterey - doubt he goes there anymore based on the reduction in quality, if it is the same as the one in Scottsdale. Filet was a bit dry (could have used some bernaise), prime rib and clam chowder were both excellent, as was the view which is typical in Chart Houses. Overall experience was okay, just not nearly as special as it once was.
My husband and I, and my entire family love The Chart House. We were hosting a number of guests from Canada and four (4) states. Although the table assigned to us was good to accommodate the number of guests, the table appears to be on the main thoroughfare (aisle) where the noise level is a little higher than usual.
Awesome food and service!
this place is awesome service is awesome food amazing will be going back for sure
Service was extremely slow. We even had very early dinner reservations. Prime Rib was ordered medium rare and came out med/well.
Didn’t want to make a scene at the table, otherwise I would have sent back
This trip was disappointing. Had heard about the Happy Hour, and got there at 5:30. The bar area was full. So we got seated at our table. But Happy Hour doesn't count at your table. Oh well, so we order drinks and of course with the bar full and 2 bartenders (one was serving) the drinks took a good 15 minutes to arrive. The food was average at best, my Mahi Mahi was very dry and the prime rib was not warm. May try it again, but this trip was not good.
Amazing birthday dinner! :)
The meat was a bit tough!! Service was excellent and the shrimp cocktail was outstanding as usual.
It was amazing! We celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary and they gave us menus with our names printed on them and an anniversary card that the staff all signed! It was amazing!
Excellent. The staff and food and ambience are perfect
