The fish was overcooked and dry, the chowder was cold. Not a great experience for such an expensive meal.

The place to have a great meal with great views, whether inside or out. Staff is great and practicing good safety in this trying time. A step away from all the action.

Chart House is always my go to favorite for simple but mood enhancing meal. My friend and I had an amazing 3 course dinner in a quiet, socially distanced atmosphere. The only downside to the evening was our table being given away after we came in a couple minutes after our reservation time. We reserved a table for 8:30, but our table was given away without a courtesy cal from the maitre d' (who seemed to be new). Unfortunate, but willing to give this location another shot!

The food was delicious as always. We had chopped salads and crab cakes and soup. All just wonderful. The best part of the experience was our excellent server, Nathan. We sat on the patio and Nathan attended to us like the professional he is. He is knowledgeable and we never wanted for anything. Terrific service!

The building is a piece of priceless history and I am glad it is being preserved. Get out your wallet though. I’m willing to do my part to keep historic buildings in use and I generally walk in not expecting much as far as the actual meal. This is the case at the Chart House. The food tasted good but my wife and I spent $100 and I left hungry. Typical tourist trap. Will I go back? Sure. Then I’ll get Uber eats to bring me a burger for supper.

Got an early reservation and even arrived early in order to avoid other individuals. Was seated in an area where we were the only table and it was fine. Within 15 minutes another tabled was seated with ample space. Then a huge table was seated right beside of us when there was plenty of seating available within the dining area. I asked to speak to the manager who came to the table and basically his response was sorry. Not very COVID friendly in abiding by the rules and regulations.

First off it took a while to be seated, my husband went up twice to ask. The hostess was a little snooty. The restaurant was not even at capacity. When we sat down we ordered drinks and that took about 15 minuets. The food was ok nothing to rave about and our server was so nice and attentive. I'm not sure that we would go back.

I had the salmon with the coconut ginger rice, vegetables, and a side of sizzling mushrooms. My girlfriend had the filet mignon requested medium well. I have no complaints about the salmon. It was flavorful and moist. The filet mignon was slightly overcooked but still flavorful. The mushrooms were delicious. We ordered the small serving of mushrooms, but I wish we had ordered the large to have more to share between us. One thing to note is that the restaurant has three levels, so be prepared to get some exercise going up and down the stairs...especially if you have to use the restroom which is on the first level.

The food and portions size were excellent. The service and the attention to our possible needs were top-notch. We really enjoyed our food and the way it was presented.

The only down side to our meals was being seated on the second floor. The kitchen is located on this floor and at times, the staff in there were cutting up quite loudly. Recommend that this area be better enclosed to cut down on the partying in the kitchen.

Disappointing . . . again.

We live locally and come to this Chart House location because of its food and the ability to dine outdoors on their balcony, which is especially appealing now in the age of COVID-19. (Our comfort level right now only allows us to dine outdoors with proper precautions.) The Chart House does a decent job with the precautions--all staff wearing masks and servers wearing gloves, as well, tables are spaced 6+ feet apart--but the service at this location was lacking, as it has other times we've dined. I'm sorry, but if a restaurant with $40+ entrees on its menu should have professional servers and the ones we've encountered here are more suitable for a mid-priced establishment. Our waiter was a nice enough guy, but he was overly familiar and casual and didn't seem to have much actual direct experience with the menu or wine list. A swing and a miss, I'm afraid.

Was a little disappointed this visit to chart house.
The food was so-so for a high price. The she crab soup was not up to par, the entrees were ok but expected more for the price you pay
The waiter though was awesome

Only dish that was a bit disappointing was the Coconut Crunchy Shrimp. They were small, over-battered and overcooked. Everything else really good.

We visited Savannah for the first time and I made reservations based on website. Unfortunately we were celebrating our 21st anniversary and we had very bad server. First when we got there. We waited for 15 minutes before being greeted and they were not busy. The drinks take too long and the waiter forgot mine. We eat a crab cake appetizer which was good, but the caesar salad were not good old lettuce. So after that and being ignored by the waiter. We left no dinner. The manager did take care of check.

We had a really good time at the restaurant was just only a couple problems they brought out the wrong salad for my wife and the waiter was really slow to return and not very informative on any specials. We asked for a glass of wine he brought a whole bottle of wine. And when he brought the bill it was a crumpled up piece of paper is how it was delivered. However the food was really good and the atmosphere is outstanding I know you can correct the small issues

Our waitress was not very attentive at all, never refilling our waters until she was flagged down. We were also seated underneath the air conditioner that was dripping on us. We asked for assistance and they just blew it off and said there was nothing they could do. To be as expensive of a restaurant as this is, I expect more.

The restaurant location was incredible and the view was gorgeous, right on the river with a patio over looking the river. Stunning views. Sadly we were sat at a table not being able to see them, our waiter was overly chatty to the point of us not able to enjoy our own evening together. He would interrupt our own conversations and was rather rude about it. The food was fair, not what you’d expect considering the other amazing quality seafood restaurants surrounding it. I’d go back for appetizers and cocktails on the patio to enjoy the view but that’s about it. I’d pick elsewhere for dinner, when it was all said and done we were sticker shocked with the bill too considering portion size and quality too. We are people who fine dine often and will pay for great meals and service but would not have considered that to be what we ended up paying for.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the chart house during tis visit to Savannah. Due to Covid- things are just different when dining out. The she crab soup was delicious. My husband had the prime rib and he really like it. Shrimp & Scallops and the ginger sauce was awesome. When visiting River street make a reservation and know you're gonna have a great fresh and flavorful meal.

We love the ambiance in this restaurant! The drinks were fantastic, despite waiting 20 minutes for them. There was a large party of what sounded like a Fraternity party on the top floor that continued to beat on the table, perform clapping routines, and stumble up and down the stairs for their restroom and cigar breaks. We are restaurant owners, and we love traveling and eating since we are foodies. But this experience was very poor. Our waitress was inattentive to every table but one table, she never asked how our drinks, salads, or entrees were. She simply removed the plates from the table. My side salad was a chopped salad that was at least a day old. The lettuce was wilted and mushy from being prepared and stored back in the cooler. The other Chopped Spinach Salad was divine. Honestly, the Spinach Salad was the best part of the meal. I ordered The Ginger Soy Shrimp and Scallops with rice, bok choy and mushrooms. The shrimp and scallops were perfect! The rice was undercooked and crunchy. The bok choy and the 1 mushroom I received were bland. The other entree we ordered was prime rib. It was luke warm when it arrived on the table. Working in this industry we understand there will be off nights, especially during all of the changes with Covid. But the waitress could have saved the entire experience. She was at our table 4 times through the entire hour and 45 min dinner, never brought or offered refills or additional cocktails that we would have enjoyed. Nor did she offer a dessert menu. She spent a majority of her time at one table the entire meal. We normally dine at the Chart House when we are in town, but we will be hard pressed to return after an experience like this.
