AAA says there is a 10% discount at this restaurant. They only gave a 5% discount.

All food was overcooked; lobster was dry, shrimp was dry, salmon was dry.

It was very hard getting a refill on waters.

We usually have a great meal here at The Charthouse Redondo Beach, but this meal was below their standards. I hope it was just a bad night. Cold food, poor valet parking that ignored opening a door for my wife. They had no other cars to deal with! (should have parked it ourselves, but there's no self park!)

Had a birthday party of 7 at 6pm reservation on a Sunday night. Requested a window table on the beach as my guests were from out of state. Even though they cant guarantee this, the staff made it happen!

also, the service was excellent, cared for us every step of the way, everyone felt they were treated as Kings and Queens!
thanks

Lot of waiting to be seated, and the host acted as if we were intruding when we asked for a window seat, even though we had a reservation. Food is good but overpriced

Really enjoyed our dinner there. It was an anniversary dinner and we always enjoy the added 'Happy Anniversary' written on the menu and the additional anniversary card on the table. Along with that, the waiter was welcoming, took care of us, answered our questions, and was very friendly and efficient. The food was great, which why you go to a restaurant. All the food on the plate was hot, cooked very well, and tasteful. Lots of fish options. Along with the great view, this is one of our favorite spots in Redondo Beach!

The Bartender was not happy to be there. They had low grade tequila. But the food came out fast. The manager was nice. Window seats are best.

Chart House has excellent seafood that is prepared very well. Portions are generous. The service was good. The only negative is our server was unaware that the restaurant was running a special on bloody marts. We showed him an email advertisement the restaurant had sent us with the special and he apologized for not being aware of the special. Great view of the water. The valet parking is a rip-off. They charge $6 (not including tip) to park your car 50 feet away. Suggestion, there's a public lot less than a block away that only charges $1.50 an hour.

2nd time we've gone here on new year's eve and both times the food was excellent and vibe was nice and relaxed. Had 9:30pm reservation and that worked out fine. $140 for two is not cheap but we did splurge a little and YES, they're also expensive...last time we were there with another couple and the total was $175 for four so they've gone up a bit in the last year. My boo is very hard to please but she was very satisfied with the food and atmosphere so all in all, I can't ding the Charthouse too much for the pricing. We're creatures of habit and have been going to the Charthouse 2x a year...new year's eve and one other special like anniversary or valentine's so we'll be back!

Had not been here for a long time, my steak was excellent but the Cesar salad was subpar. . .ambiace is good and so is the view but it’s just too expensive! We had a Landry’s card so we got a discount. It’s very predictable. . . There are just other places that are so much better.

The food was reliably very tasty. The service was not up to standards usually met at dinner. Kelly who served us at the bar, on the other hand, was delightful. Drink prices were, however, rather high.

Food was decent. Server was generally available. Front desk service however was terrible as usual. Been at this restaurant numerous times and the front desk more often than not fails. Not sure if it is just their holiday staffing of the front desk -- or if this is their "experienced" crew. But they invariably are slow and do not treat Landry's Select customers with the front-of-line top notch service you expect and get at other Landry's. You are treated just the same -- nothing special. Sometimes you wonder if the reason you don't get special is because they don't know how to treat Landry's Select special or what. They had four front desk people, when half didn't seem to do anything and the others seemed often lost and confused. A table shouldn't be seated with people of the same size group just walks in while you're a Landry's Select and wait for more than 15 minutes. If we got a table by the window/scenic view, I could understand. But we didn't. We had a table in the middle of the room. Nothing special. Get better front desk people, stat!

The whole experience was great from start to finish. We had reservations for dinner on Christmas day and even though the place was packed, were seated within minutes of our arrival. Our server was excellent, attentive and on top of things. My mother is on a gluten free diet and was delighted that they have a special menu to accommodate her. She had a meal which she thoroughly enjoyed. My meal was awesome. Even though we were sat back away from the window we could still see the beach and enjoy a sunset view. Everything was perfect. We'll be back soon, I'm sure.

We go to the Charthouse often and are generally very pleased with the preparation and quality of the meals. On this visit to the Redondo location, the service was almost nonexistent. It was a busy day (holiday), but the particular server seemed to be either new to being a server or just lost. We ran out of drinks and couldn't get her attention. She asked us "was your meal prepared perfectly" after we had completely FINISHED eating (no one came to check on us once the food was dropped on the table). No welcome or visit from a manager either (usually a manager also stops by), so we had to keep asking other people to get our server. So, I only gave 2 stars for service this time - note that we generally have a good experience all around so it really was the particular server.

The Chart House experience was poor overall. We were seated fifteen minutes after our reservation, the food was plated poorly, some meals were cool and the quality of the food was middling at best. Though a bit flustered, our waiter was kind and checked in often, but he couldn't make up for the relative chaos of the restaurant and the mediocre kitchen fare. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we'd hoped for for our Christmas Eve dinner and we will not return.

We arrived a little early knowing how crowded it was going to be for Christmas Eve. We sat at a table in the middle of the walk-thru to the salad bar (for other patrons). It made it difficult for my father who uses a walker to constantly move for them so we moved our table closer to the wall. My Dad’s Chicken was a little tough and it was noted by our server that it would be a little tough. His creamed spinach he really enjoyed along with our son. Our son enjoyed the swordfish and spatzel and my husband enjoyed the prime rib (said it was one of the best). My shrimp/scallops were ok. The shrimp was a bit overdone and the gnocchi were a little mushy, but the scallops delicious. Our server, Justin, was great and very attentive. Thank you.

Andre our waiter was amazing. The food was perfect. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is the closeness of the tables to each other. Can make maneuvering through the restaurant to the salad bar challenging. Maybe a few less. Other than that a great experience

The service was very slow and seemed unorganized. The food was very good but seemed expensive for what you get compared to other restaurants. My biggest criticism is that the noise is unbearable. You would think they would have installed sound absorption panels by now. You literally have to yell when speaking with someone. With all that said, you would think they would turn the music off because all you hear is a muddled mess. If you are elderly, or you are with someone who is elderly, forget this place. Too many steps, too loud, and even the sunset, which is supposed to be a selling point, can be a bit blinding. Sorry Charthouse, you've always been a great standby but the competition in the South Bay is too strong these days for us to consider returning.

We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary. On arrival at our table we found a nice card signed by staff members. Very nice, and appreciated. Our waiter was Blake, and he was excellent. The ambience is always good, the food is always well presented and delicious at CH. We always enjoy eating at your restaurant.
Thanks for making our evening very enjoyable. We, of course, will be back.

Usually the more things stay the same the more boring it becomes. Not so with the Charthouse menu. The salad bar is stellar, although the Caesar salad was a bit limp. The menu is very good, but the wine list needs refreshing, and drop the low quality wines, like J. Lohr. Carry more Central Coast wines, offer great choices.
