Excellent seafood, ambiance and wine selection. Service was good. First time there, entrance was a little difficult to find.

We went there for my wife's birthday. Nothing stood out as either very good or bad. A safe bet, but don't expect to be wowed. A little more expensive relative to the food, so you are paying for location and environment.
Even with a reservation, we had to wait for 15 minutes. Then we were seated in the back by the bar. The service was slow and not responsive. We had to ask for our waters to be refilled and remind the staff that some of us were sharing a meal. We were told the food was taking too long because they had a bigger party to contend with. The restaurant felt understaffed and it was Saturday night. The food was decent but not at the level we have experienced at this restaurant before. I have dined here many times, but this will be the last time. For what we paid, it should have been better all around.
Hadn’t been to the Chart House in years!!!! Not much has changed. Still fabulous salad bar and not much new on the menu. Still has wonderful charm and ambiance plus magnificent sunsets!!!
As the host was taking us to our table, I asked if we could sit next to the window. He stated that someone is being seated right now. That table was vacant for 15 minutes. Not the way I expected to spend my birthday dinner with my family.
We had a window table and the menus had our names happy birthday to Mark and Sharon which we thought was a really nice touch!! Our waiter was attentive and prompt the food once again was delicious! Chart House it’s our favorite place to go and eat and will return....😋

Visited this old standby restaurant to once again enjoy the view of sitting practically on the breaking waves along the beach. Been many times over years and the service, ambiance and food remains very good. The salad bar, once a staple of affordable goods, still is so. Same selection, always fresh. The menu has expanded and now offers a variety of meats, fish and pasta at reasonable prices. Service is good and the drinks are, well, drinks. I've been going for many years and will not hesitate to go again.
Our waitress was on a break so we kept having other services come to our table. Then when she brought our Alaskan crab legs they for got cut the legs to make it easier to open and with our steak they didn’t give us steak knives, we had to wait for over five minutes to get them while our food started getting cold.

The service was good. Bread and soups were wonderful. Baked potato was over cooked. Restaurant really needs to be updated.
Celebrated my brother in law’s bday here. Jerry our waiter is great. Took care of all our needs, explained the menu and recommended great wine for the evening. Food was good but could use better fish and seafood selections. Prime rib remains excellent and cooked right to order. Very happy with overall experience

Location By the beach is perfect. Place was busy and our waiter wasn’t able to serve us, someone has to take over in serving us.
Our view was superb. We lucked out with a window seat for my fiancé’s birthday celebration. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently and our waiter Frank was fantastic!
My moms 93rd bday. Called and asked for kind consideration of her for her 93rd. Also asked both hosts if they were aware. They BOTH assured me with positive responses. After a laboriously long dining experience (20 min to get our drinks because of slammed bar for happy hour we were told, the waiter did not acknowledge my mother’s bday. After the meal I asked why no consideration was made other than Happy Birthday on the menu he said he was unaware. I asked him to tell his manager about the lack of communication. He offered a candle in her dessert. That gesture was too little too late. I helped my mom to the ladies room and we left very unhappily. Apparently the manager came over and apologized. Have us a coupon. But what we missed was a special evening and special experience for my mother who rarely gets out. That was the most distressing thing for me. Oh I certainly hope the communication from front desk to server is remedied.

Restaurant was understaffed. We waited a long time to order and the food took more time to come out. One of our orders was incorrect and we had to wait even more for the right item to come out. It was overcooked. Service was definitely slow and there were no smiles to be seen from anyone. With the mistake and taking so long to serve us, not once did anyone come to explain or apologize for the inferior treatment we received. The food was so so and not memorable for a restaurant charging $$$$ for $$ experience. Was giving Chart House another try after years of avoiding it, but this convinced me that it was my mistake to give them another try.
Wonderful local place o beach front. You'll enjoy delicious food and great drinks with friendly service. Sunsets are spectacular and add to romance.
New Year’s Eve
We had a 9pm reservation, we were never seated and left 1 hour after waiting. Staff did not seem to care about the problem. So we left, will not return to the Chart House.
Our server, Miles, was great and hostess was awesome. The drinks we had in the bar were perfect.

The prime rib was dry, I had to send it back twice. The salmon was also over cooked and was discarded. The sord fish was cooked with pineapple and made my son sick.
We were seated by a door while 2 other tables were available, however, when we asked to be moved we were told that the table was reserved for another party. The other party didn't show up instead 30 minutes later that table was joined with another for a larger group.
I left hungry and stopped by a burger stand for new year's dinner.
For my first time there NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE
Food was delicious, my steak was perfect. And sunset was perfection!
Excellent service and lovely ambiance. The entire team from managers to kitchen staff are devoted to insuring an extraordinary dining experience. Perfectly cooked steaks. The lobster is a must order! Sara the manager and Tyler the waiter are the best.
we were running late and they were great about rescheduling.... we all loved it!
We have been coming to this Chart House for 30+ years. We come here for birthdays and special occasions. Everything was perfect tonight-the food, the service, the ambience, etc. My husband said, “I think this was the best night ever we’ve experienced here”. Will always come back for the great food and service we can depend on time after time.
Waitress seemed a little frustrated. Aside from that we would give it all the stars.

The check-in service was terrible. We checked in and they forgot about us. The service-level picked up quite a bit with our server, Tyler. The food was good in the window seat was very nice, we just got off to a bad start
My NY strip was undercooked ordered medium and was served rare they had to put back on grill and returned with charred taste and dry,our waitress was nice but not attentive a manager did not even come by our table.I feel we payed alot for a horrible experience!
Tyler, our server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Sarah (cashier?) was also very friendly, informative, and helpful!
We went for Christmas dinner and it was an absolute mad house. The hostess was extremely rude when telling us that they were running 45 minutes behind for reservations. The waiting area was packed with people waiting to be seated. We finally found 3 high tops in the bar and are there. Not exactly what we were expecting for Christmas dinner. Our waiter Dion was great, and working so hard considering how crowded it was. You would think a restaurant as established as Chart House would have the kinks worked out for a big day like Christmas. And we won’t be going back again on Christmas.
Unfortunately an hour wait for a table when we had a reservation, very slow service & some cold food made this not a great visit, Positives are the majority of the food was great, the server was very nice & it was festive for Christmas. We had a great family time but we were there for over 3 hours. The only reason we didn’t walk out is because it was Christmas. I was disappointed in general, but will give 3 stars as despite the issue & nothing done by the manager, my Dad said the crab legs were amazing!
Christmas dinner. Finally got seated 45 minutes after our reservation. But all was good - food and services. We’ve been going to the Chart House for 50 years. It’s always enjoyable.
We will never go here again on a holiday. I made reservations 2 weeks in advance and when we got there we were told there would be a 30 min wait. I asked the person at the desk, "Even if I made reservations 2 weeks ago?" And he flippantly replied, "Look around you. Everyone here has a reservation and everyone has waited a half hour." Clearly they overbooked.
When I got my martini, the glass was half full. I said to the waiter that it was a stingy pour and he replied that it was standard.
I had made a reservation for 2 for dinner on Christmas Day. It was busy and we were told there would be a 40 min wait. We decided to go to the bar and order drinks. The bar area wasn’t too busy and we were able to find seats quickly. The service however, was terrible! It took about 20 min to order drinks and longer to get another round. This would’ve been fine (as I believe they were understaffed) but the bar staff seemed annoyed and in a really bad mood. One bartender started shouting at her coworker to “just leave, I can’t make you stay,” right in front of us. When the party next to me ordered a specialty cocktail, the bartender told her she couldn’t make it, then said she could but didn’t know how to do it so it will take a while in an annoyed tone.
The service was better when we were seated. Food was OK, nothing amazing but not bad.
Overall, I think the service could’ve been better. Not too sure if I would book this again as the food didn’t outweigh the overall experience.
