   Excellent service from Tim and all staff. Incomparable view overlooking Portland, river and Mt Hood and St Helens. Lobster bisque, lobster/shrimp carbonara, and Mahi Nut were delicious! Bruschetta board was underwhelming, stale/salty bread that didn't have the crisp/crunch a brushchetta ought to have ...but by no means much of a disappointment with everything else being so wonderful. Will definitely return. Perfect for special occasion, date night, or meeting in a place of awe!

   Service was great! There not a bad view at the Chart House which is nice. Food was good, but still kinda on the spendy side. It’s good to know they only have Valet parking, so be prepared with cash for tip.

   For the most part it was a pleasant experience. The food was good, the service was good.The location of the table could have been better, but it was o.k. I am not a person to complain, the Prime Rib was tender and flavorful. The problem was that I ordered Medium Rare and got a Medium very well. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable, and should have picked up on the fact that the steak was not Medium Rare. It was not overly busy and for a $44 cut of meat she should have paid more attention. Not sure if I will order Prime Rob here again. My wife's food, Mac Mahi was outstanding. Thank you

   We were greeted promptly and were seated within five minutes at a window seat that I had requested. The service was outstanding and the food as well. The prime rib and salmon as well as the lava cake were exceptional. You also have to try the lobster bisque.

   VERY overpriced and, at best, mediocre quality. I am not one to leave poor reviews, but our experience was major disappointment on SO many levels. I won’t go into all details, however for a VERY expensive and supposedly classy restaurant this place needs lots of genuine attention to improve on details of service….. examples: we had dirty glassware & 2 dirty bread plates ON the table at the start of our meal (we hadn’t even ordered yet & find soiled plates on our table!!), had to send back TWO filet mignons (one over cooked, the other too tough to chew), food runner dropped our salad on the floor, another assistant/server spilled sauce from entree onto my pants while trying to place dish on table….. on & on….. it was horrible and embarrassing. And incredibly overpriced!!! There are so many more things which were just plain BAD, but I’m just shaking my head — I’m baffled how this place is attracting customers??!?! It can only be the view. NOT the food. DEFINITELY NOT the service. Hundreds of dollars we spent that night, down the drain……. OH and they do not allow customers to park their own cars; it is mandatory valet service which is *not* noted on website nor told when I called for reservation. We had 4 cars in our party; no one had cash other than one person with $50 bill. So, huge hassle trying to get smaller bills, & passing it out, so each of us could ‘tip’ valet — (though NONE of us *wanted* valet!!!) I just don’t understand the experience they are trying to give with the valet nonsense, unrefined service, mediocre food quality yet extraordinarily high prices. BOO.

    The restaurant was nice, the waiter the we got unfortunately was wearing a mask and when he spoke it was muffled, had to ask him to repeat many times. Will not go back or if I do I will definitely ask for another waiter if I get him again.

    Celebrated three of my family members birthday at the Charthouse and it couldn't be any more perfect. Amazing service and a beautiful view of Portland with delicious food and drinks; certainly left a mark on everyone.

    The view and the ambience are definitely the highlights of this experience. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation and waited another 15 minutes for the server to arrive at our table.  Ordered drinks which took 15+ minutes to arrive. At this point the server returned and took our food order.  Appetizers arrived about 30 minutes later. At this point we are almost 1.5 hours into this journey. Server checks in again at about the 2 hour mark and tells us that the main course should be arriving soon. Asks if we want to get more drinks. We politely decline and say that we will take the bottle of wine we ordered with dinner. 2.25 hrs - Dinner finally arrives and server returns asking if there’s anything else that he can get us. We remind him about the bottle of wine… Food as well seasoned but inconsistent and over cooked. For instance, my halibut was well cooked but the company shrimp were over cooked, hard and rubbery. Likewise, rice and vegetables were over cooked, both for me and my guests. The signature lava cake dessert was likewise more solid, over cooked cake texture with no gooey chocolatey center. Overall this 3+ hour dining “experience” is not one that I would recommend repeating again. On the plus side, the valet service was great.

    I came here for prom and it was perfect! We had a great view and the food and service was amazing as always. By far the best and most flavorful salmon I’ve ever had and I’m excited to come back soon

    Excellent food and service. Both my wife and I remarked on the noise level. We also happened to be seated in an area where the AC was a bit too low, meaning we felt chilled at times. Regardless the view is wonderful, and the food and service was great. Note sure anything can be done about the noise level without posting “Inside Voices, Please.”

    From the moment we entered the Chart House to the end of our dinning experience everything was exceptional. We enjoyed the professionalism and friendly staff. Our drinks and dinner was delicious. The price range was well worth the experience and beautiful prepared entrees. We cannot wait to visit again for a special evening out!

    A large group of eleven with eleven food tastes to please….the kitchen and server were excellent. The food came out within minutes of each other. No one had to wait. I needed a flat area accessible with no chairs and that’s exactly what we got.

    Horrible experience. We had a reservation for 5:45. Didn’t get seated until 6:05. Food didn’t come until 7:15pm. Kids were starving. And food was blah. Waitress didn’t one ask if we wanted a second drink.

    I go to the chart house fairly often and the food is always delicious, including the Sunday brunch which is my favorite. I took my whole family for Mother’s Day and unfortunately the food was not nearly as good as it normally is. The eggs Benedict eggs that my mom got were hard and the cinnamon roll was tough. The service and ambiance and view were amazing as always. I will still go back! Just maybe not on a holiday when the kitchen is overwhelmed.

    The food and service could not have been better. The view of Portland and the Willamette were spectacular. The only glitch was the air conditioning. I know it was a hot day, but that is no good reason to make the restaurant as cold as a deep freeze. The very kind waitress covered the air vent with a tablecloth which certainly helped but still chilly! We did enjoy the meal and other parts of ambiance and plan to return on our next visit to Portland.

    There is a wide variety of choice, far more than the average Portland restaurant. The view is extraordinary. The waiters are attentive. The food was less enjoyable than we remember. The pasta was slightly overcooked. The clam chowder was more lemony than ideal--though that is a matter of taste. The lava cake remains impressive, the portion generous--plenty to have some to take home

    Reserved a table a couple weeks in advance. When we arrived we had to wait to be seated (15 min. Wait)which was a little frustrating…what is the point of reserving a time if it isn’t really “reserved”? Food was good, not as great as I had hoped. Especially for the price. Portions were a little small. Our server was great, very attentive.

    Our lunch visit was very good. Our window table was ready when we arrived and the service was nicely paced between appetizer and main course. The prices for the lunch menu are very reasonable.
