It was a very enjoyable experience.
The asparagus was not as tender as I expected it to be.
I was extremely annoyed that they charged us $5 to switch our veggie choice and didn't disclose it. When I mentioned it to the server, he blew it off. The sea bass was $46. You can't switch our veggies for free? Really?? Or at least disclose the price difference!
I had never been to Chart House before, and being relatively new to Portland, I had no idea I would have such a view! (Portland is beautiful, even when it's rainy, which as I understand is about half the year :-)) Anyway, the view is just one aspect - the food was amazing! Make sure you get the coconut shrimp and crab cake, and the seafood stack as an appetizer. So delicious! Our server, JP, was also second to none! Hopefully these lockdowns don't hurt Chart House's business - I will definitely be back if they survive!
I made this reservation for a business dinner with the President and VP of Warehousing of my company. We were promptly seated by the window with a great view of Portland. We ordered the suggested fish of the day with a few drinks and appetizers. The Fish was cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. This was a great experience for us all and I made good points with the bosses. I highly recommend the Chart House for any occasion.
Had a great date night with my wife. As always, the clam chowder was amazing. The sirloin and salmon was phenomenal as well. We love the Chart House and will be back often.
The calamari is a must! Excellent food and service, you won't be disappointed!
Excellent food and service. And the window table was the icing on the top! This was the best place to spend our 50th wedding anniversary!
Dining here was a fantastic experience. It was a perfect setting which made for a perfect date night. The only concern I have is the parking lot. The sizes of the spaces were really small which lead to many cars parking over the lines and which made it annoying to find a spot that was accessible.
Make sure you make a reservation and also make sure you come in a small vehicle parking there is a little bit difficult especially when certain cars do not know how to park. Other than that waitress was great hostess was great food was great The View was great
The waiter was the best. A great anniversary celebration for us
Delightful experience- we’ll be back for some happy hour visits and Dinner again. Well done!
Good, view, spacing great. Waitstaff needs some work in knowing the wine list and making patrons feel really good and at home. Waited 15-20 minutes for a very expensive bottle of champagne, restaurant was not terribly busy at all. But the food was good.
LOVE this place but service was lacking and 2nd time it’s been like that.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and we indicated that on our reservation. The staff made no acknowledgement of that special occasion and they missed out on making this a special evening. The waiter was not particularly attentive and was a bit slow. The food was just okay, not great. I had the prime rib which was not medium rare as requested, same with my wife. The appetizer of calamari “Kim chee” style was extraordinary and despite a hefty price was abundant and tasty. My wife’s mini molten chocolate cake was pretty good too. The best part of the evening was the view which was spectacular from our window side table. If the restaurant paid attention to the special occasion note on our reservation they could have made the evening special and a place where we would frequent but sadly it was just an ordinary dinner with a great view. You can get a nice view from many places not just here. A missed opportunity.
Great opportunity to enjoy a great dinner in an environment where it’s easy to have good conversation.
JP was amazing! Great service! After eloping, we brought our small wedding party to chart house, food was great, JP made us feel welcomed and special. He is a rockstar!!! Would recommend Chart House and their staff to everyone.
Great as usual with them.
Great food and good service with a fantastic view. Kind of expensive but worth it.
The Chart House salad seemed a very small portion for the cost.
First time eating at Chart House since COVID. Enjoyed the view, friends and food. Always a favorite of ours.
Exceptional staff, unobtrusive but always there if you need something.
We had fun celebrating our friend’s birthday and food was excellent. Where to put the gorgeous view and ambiance. Indeed a special night !
Very excellent service. Pleasant and quiet for conversation and waiter staff very good. The ambiance's good and excellent views of the Willamette River. A good place for dining.
Amazing food and service as always 😁
Our server was exceptional
This is a special place and it never disappoints
don't need a reservation for happy hour in the bar downstairs. restaurant did not explain clearly
We came here for Melanie's birthday for the second year in a row. The view, food, and service was outstanding! She enjoys finishing dinner with their excellent Lava Cake. We will be back next year.
Very nice happy hour and dinner. Excellent drinks and appetizers. Very good dinner and excellent service. As always view was fantastic. Felt very safe with excellent Covid protocol.
We loved the high level of service, preparation & presentation!!
Food was bland and not hot when served.
Awesome waiter and great food! The Faux-jito was so good!!
If you are planning a special occasion dinner, this is the place for that!! Outstanding in every way.
Anthony is as our waiter. He was awesome. This was my daughters birthday so we had a wonderful dinner on a perfect Portland evening overlooking the city.
Took the opportunity of a late reservation to have a nice dinner out. Service, dinner and drinks were outstanding as usual. The rainy river view while we enjoyed our cocktails was a welcome change of pace.
Our meals were great. When we mentioned dessert to the waiter, we appreciated that he told us the lava cake took 30 minutes to prepare. The only downside was the parking situation. Next time, I think we will need to allot 30 minutes to find a spot in their lot.
Love this place! We go for every special occasion. Everything on the menu is great!
Chart House never disappoints when it comes to food and ambiance.
The food matched the beautiful views.
