Food and service was fantastic. However, they encourage smokers to smoke right next to the entrance/exit by placing an ash tray next to the door. I am pregnant and had my toddler with me. We shouldn’t be subjected to toxic and obnoxious smoke, especially at such an expensive place. They force you to valet your vehicle, so you are forced to breathe the toxic second hand smoke while waiting. It ruined the experience.

Service was horrible waiter never ask how food and never came by till the end of meal never refilled water etc. Food for my party of 6 prime rib was cold not even warm. Fish was undercooked. Steak ordered medium were well done. This place has gone to the dogs

Really subpar seafood from a place that touts itself as primarily a seafood restaurant. If you can't devein shrimp or properly cook a cod without tons of oil, then you should probably change focus. We won't be back.

We were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary with my parents. Dakota was a wonderful waitress. She really won. My father‘s heart over the food was excellent and the dessert was wonderful. We had the cheesecake with the caramel sauce we go there quite often and we have yet have a bad meal sure, you’re itching again air itching again

Last night we headed to dinner with our neighbors. This is probably the 3rd time we’ve eaten there in the last two months as always the food is amazing. I am obsessed with their chopped salad and my steak was amazing. But the part I love the most is the atmosphere, and we almost always get seated in the two best seats in the house on the first level window seat, right corner, tables, 2 or 3.. it has become like her own personal corner with the best view. Also, we were fortunate enough to have the exact same waiter. I apologize I’m unsure of his name, but he is the nicest guy, so tentative.

The place is pretty run down, stained and torn chairs, food on the menus, dirty water glasses, but the food was good. Best service was from the food runner who was friendly. Place felt like a nursing home. A lot of glum faces.

Very nice option for family NYE dinner in a festive setting. Wait staff were friendly and fast but we didn’t feel rushed. Portions were quite large - desserts were all excellent too.

Had reservations and still had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. It was New Year’s Eve so we were understanding. Also our entrees took about a hour to come out. That was a long wait, but we had our starters so it was fine. Very busy night and the waiter was still patient and awesome. Also the menu was altered for the holiday I guess because everything I went for was unavailable, So that was kind of disappointing.

We had a great dinner at the chart house on New Year’s Eve. It was a fixed menu with a lot of choices. Something to satisfy everyone’s wants! Love the view, and the service was great.

Loved it more when we thought we were eating at the original - independently owned - vintage Chart House. Once made aware it was part of the Landry Chain, it took away a certain sense of nostalgia but the excellence throughout the evening will bring us back time and again.

It used to be good, but we went there for our anniversary, and we were very disappointed. The prime rib was cold. The mashed potatoes were cold, dry, and without flavor. The green beans were overcooked. About the only good thing was the tenderloin.

The Chart House has always been one of my favorites, but I was disappointed in the food during this visit. The coconut shrimp were overcooked. I requested medium rare prime rib that was much closer to rare (I could live with that), however, my first bite was so gristlely I couldn't swallow it. The mashed potatoes had a gluey, shiny texture and were cold. Service was a little slow, but our server did everything he could to accommodate our requests and the general ambience is hard to beat. I'll go back, but with hopes that my next visit is more in line with what has been my typical experience.

On December 28th of each year my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Chart House in Portland, Oregon. This year was no different celebrating our 48th year Anniversary. As always the food is excellent and the service was outstanding. We so appreciate the time we spend at the restaurant and we went away completely satisfied with our evening. Thank you once again to the staff at The Chart House!

Great for special occasions, happy hour, or date night! I went with my family for a special celebration and requested a table with a view. Their atmosphere is beautiful but the view is spectacular and overlooks the river and city. The food and drinks are always perfect. I recommend this place to all of my friends who visit!

Terrible as the restaurant is closed while still accepting reservation. We arrived at 730pm yesterday but the restaurant is closed. I don’t know why they still accept reservations. Never go there again.

Christmas dinner. As expected, we did have to wait for our table .The place was slammed . But despite that, it was a wonderful meal, the service was good. It was a price fixe arrangement. Excellent choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts.

We resumed our tradition of going to the Chart House for Christmas dinner and have to say, it was less than stellar. Our server was quite inexperienced and overwhelmed, our salads arrived after our entrées, the Prosecco was room temperature, the value was very poor. We were not informed ahead of time of the pre-fixe menu, $75 per person for what we got was not worth it. We understand that it’s a very busy time and the rationale behind doing a pre fixe menu but the experience was not anywhere near what we have had in the past. We definitely won’t be coming back on Christmas. That said, the food was excellent. We normally would’ve been sharing salads and desserts, it was actually too much food for too much $. We have loved the Chart House in the past, we hope to have a better experience at non-holiday times.
