You would think I was at Applebee’s the service was horrible we waited 15 minutes before our server came to take our drink order then waited other 10 minutes for our drinks never refill our water. Food was okay. This is suppose to be a fine dining restaurant what a joke I will never be back.
is very simple; the meat (filet mignon and the new york steak wash serve cool and overcook), the salad bar, very poor and the dessert also.....- no wonder for saturday nigh the restaurant wash very emty.-
Oh my! This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Alaina our server was outstanding, & the food was superb!
Highly professional server, outstanding view, and the food was off the charts. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had.
Perfect ambiance and service! I would absolutely recommend this for a nice and quite date night.
Beautiful location with terrific views. Restaurant has great service, truly delicious food, wonderful, varied menu. Food is beautifully presented.
We went for my son's graduation, Carole our server was great, food was tasty. We had a wonderful time. Would recommend this place to our friends.
Great place to eat went there on a very busy Mother’s Day with my fiancé they started to run out of certain dishes, deserts even wine if that don’t tell you something good about this place than i didn’t know what to tell you
The waitress was awesome and very friendly! We got seated right away once our whole party was there.
Our server "Donna" was great and she did the Best that she could being that it was so busy on mother's day. 2- Issues that I had was the kitchen took 2hrs to prepare our food,we sat from about 545p to 815-820 until we finally got our entree Unbelievable! Again it wasnt our servers fault because she kept checking to see what was going on. Then we ordered desert and my mother's chocolate lava cake came out hard as a rock but was then corrected. I had to stop the manager to let him know about our wait times etc. I'm not the one to complain, but this was alot ridiculous. And again, our server did the best she could I know how it is to be a waitress, your on the front line just delivering the service, not making or preparing it. But overall,Chart house is Beautiful and I'm sure it will be better on a regular day.
Mother’s Day dinner with mother.
Things were a little chaotic because it was Mother's day. The bar was not prepared to handle guests waiting to be seated.
Food could have been a bit warmer but as I say they were very busy.
The service was absolutely excellent as always and food was very good.
Only problem was lo g line to valet park, congested parking.
Good food great view had a little wait even though I reserved my table
Marissa was great! Staff was great, food excellent!
It was Mother’s Day!! It was very busy but we enjoyed our time in the restaurant. I will give valley parking a 1. Valet took our tickets but waiting after an 1/2 hour we had to complain for waiting so long. Valet group was confused on which keys went to which ticket. Very unorganized. I spoke to the manager and he had a don’t care attitude. But he made sure to go outside and take a cigarette break.
I haven't been to the Chart House in years and I'll probably never go back. The service was the only plus to our experience. We went for Mother's Day and it was very busy - so it was a buffet. Many of the options had empty serving containers and remained that way even when other members of our party went up a couple of times. What food was there was good, it just seemed that they could not keep up with the amount of people that were in the restaurant. Since it was so rainy outside I turned my attention to the interior instead of outside - this place could use a pick me up. Torn and tattered upholstery on the booths, chipped and dirty painted surfaces and peeling wall coverings. I'm glad it wasn't more that the $40 it cost for brunch per person. Overall - disappointing.
Place a bit outdated (deco/ambience)
Food was delicious
This review is only for Mother's Day brunch. I cannot speak on any other dining timeframes. To begin with, I first dined at the Chart House for Mother's Day brunch about 25-30 years ago. It was the most amazing dining experience ever. We had such a great time from food, to service, to the total experience. I knew it had to be special because securing reservations less than 60 days before Mother's Day, would have been impossible. Now let's skip to Mother's Day 2019. After securing a reservation for six only 8 days out, I was more than ready to recapture my first experience. Unfortunately, an apples to oranges comparison would be too kind. I couldn't wait to be seated to get the party started. While being led to our table, I immediately took notice that everything, with the exception of the buffet area, looked exactly as it did decades ago. I mean to say they had the same booths that are now scuffed, tattered and dated. There were virtually no upgrades during all this time. How could a well-know dining staple in this city be allowed to get reduced to mediocre? I will soon discover appearance is the least of letdowns. Our waiter greeted us and was very pleasant, informative, and attentive. Now it was time for us to have at it. The main buffet area, which use to be on the second level, was now on the third level. Once I got up there, I noticed the food selection was very shallow, sparse, and basic. None of the items would have been associated with a restaurant of high reputation. A good local Chinese buffet would have toppled this farse. They now have servers to place a specified amount of food on your plate. For example, you could only get four chilled steamed shrimp at a time, walk back to your table, eat them, then return to the buffet area for four more. What the heck! I almost ran outside to make sure I was really at the Chart House. They have completely fallen off, and should seriously consider scrapping Mother's Day brunch.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was wonderful and overall value was great. My mother’s day was made better by the brunch and view. My mother was also very pleased.
Can't beat the view. Right on the water but quick Uber ride from center city. Since it is a larger chain the have a kids menu which helped me out.
Anniversary dinner. Had a wonderful time. Will be back.
I went to this restaurant for an early Mother’s Day dinner with my family and we had an amazing experience. From the moment we got there with the complimentary valet parking to the welcome greeting from the hostess to our phenomenal time dining with the great service of our waitress and food runners. It definitely was one of the best dinners we’ve ever had in a Philadelphia restaurant. 👍🏼👍🏼
Great food and friendly service. Beautiful view. They take food allergies into consideration.I highly recommend them.
Pleasant surroundings both inside and out. Nice to watch what's going on, on the river while having a nice meal and good conversation you can hear.
A great meal with great service.
Very good restaurant .startet-escargot-was awesome, snapper and flounder was very nice but a little bit pricey, very good location and nice views
We had such a great time! The patio wasn’t officially open but when we were waiting for dessert the waitress let us go out on the patio to look at the views. Will definitely be coming here again!!!
Another stellar performance by the Chart House and superb service from our server Josh!
The food was great and our waitress Marisa was awesome. Thank u
This was the second time we visited the Chart House for our Anniversary. The food was delicious last year so we decided to order the same thing. We was a little disappointed that it was a little bland this time. Maybe they have a new chief.
Service was excellent. Waiter was excellent and Food was excellent. I thought ala carte items were a little pricy. Overall everything was great
I couldn't of picked a better place to take my new girlfriend it was romantic, great food, the waitress was well trained very friendly and the food was unbelievable I will be back with Alisha T.
I've been going to The Chart House in Philadelphia now for over 25 years. This is my GO TO restaurant for entertaining friends who visit from out of town. First I'd like to compliment Wade the manager. This is someone who cares about his restaurant and his customers. He takes outstanding care of my party and I everytime we visit, and we will be visiting more and more. The food is always fantastic. The specialty drinking (in particular the torched apple martini) are outstanding! Always have a fantastic server, and the view is the best in Philadelphia. I plan to be there with a very group from all over the country as well as someone from Australia, and from Canada in December and the Chart House is top on our list!
My first date was here and we had a wonderful experience.
The Chart House is my absolute favorite restaurant. From the moment that I arrive I am greeted and treated in a manner that makes me feel completely special. I enjoy going to the Chart House to create lifelong memories. This visit was all about my father and his birthday. He is still boasting about the quality of service, the amazing food, and the beautiful view.
Always a pleasurable dining experience. Just recently enjoyed a night out for our 9th anniversary, I also proposed their too. The view is spectacular.
Great time great service
