Absolute poor customer service for an establishment such as this.
It is so nice to have a delicious dinner with a River view and relaxing atmosphere. It is really a treat to come! Thank you
Ernesto was my waiter he did an excellent job serving me and my wife. Whatever I needed he took care of it with no problem. The food and ambience was great !! I definitely would recommend people to go dine there.
Not iimpressed with food
My husband took me to dinner for my birthday this past Saturday evening and my overall impression of the Chart House was positive. The food was pretty good and the pricing was in line with what we expected. The service was pretty good. Towards the end our server became a little extra busy so we had to have someone go get her so that we could pay the check and leave since our 7 month old was getting fussy. And it was also extremely cold inside, perhaps the A/C was still on from the warmer days, but Saturday evening was chilly so with the A/C on I kept my coat on as well as my infant's hat and coat.
Overall, I was pleased with the restaurant and would recommend to a friend.
Food was just ok. Not great. Service was terrific and of course the view is beautiful.
This restaurant will never go out of business the view is fantastic!
My entree was good and ordered the salad bar with my meal most of the containers were empty, when it was mention to the staff behind the salad bar it took some time to replenish. You do get complementary parking A big plus!
Salad bar needed tending to
The service was absolutely horrible!! Would NOT recommend. Our reservation was at 7:15p... we didn't leave until after 11p because the service was so bad. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is really bad. The food wasn't even that great - I thought maybe the taste of the meal would make up for the bad service but no, not the case.
I don't know what happened to this restaurant. it is not fine dining. they should lower the process and become a pub.
Waited 10 minutes before the hostess showed up and another 5 minutes before being seated. Restaurant was practically empty with only half dozen or so tables occupied so, being busy was no excuse.
Waitress was nice, helpful and efficient but the food was mediocre at best. And pricey.
Excellent food and service
We have dined at the Chart House before and have been happy each time. Dinner as paced well and out waitress was attentive. I would definitely recommend to others
Noise level was high. The party that arrived after we were seated was loud.
Wade and his staff were as always on their game. Food and service was excellent. Great place for any type of meal. Alan S
Our favorite place to go. We were married here and come back for every anniversary or when we want to have a great dinner in a great location.
Me and my husband enjoyed the food. I always get the stuffed flounder and it’s still my fave. I had the coconut shrimp which were delicious only thing I would say would be add more, 6 shrimp for 2 people is a nono. I was really sad that I couldn’t try the creme’ brûlée because I guys took good flavors and replaced with gross ones. Please bring back the original flavors
Waiter Jason was great . Food was good - atmosphere was blah
Started off with drunks at the bar. Although well made we were informed at 5:50 that "the computer" read the time as 6:01....WTF ? So we paid full price for up charges.
Dinner was acceptable but service clean up was not up to any standards and haphazard at best.
Overall, I agree with former ratings as this Chart House needs some TLC and revision of "Standards".
Yes, I would recommend for drinks and apps during happy hour in the lounge. Perhaps not for dinner
Excellent food, great service, beautiful view.
All my special requests were met
First I want to say I was very upset with my experience! For one when I was given a glass of water there was a bug in my drink! When me and my friends ordered our food the waiter came back about 15 mins later saying sorry we ran out of mash potatoes And we ran out of the steak that we ordered! How does a up scale restaurant run out of food I will never understand! I was suppose to have a menu when I got there that said my wife name on it and that was not done but prior to me arriving at the chart house I got a phone call from a worker saying that her name would be on the menu but arriving there it was not! Who ever was the woman working the tint deal she was very rude! This was one of the worst experiences at an establishment I been to smh!
Sub par food and mediocre service.
At restaurants in this price range, I expected better.
An hour and 20 minutes to get lunch, only could get one drink, and finally entrees came out. Filet undercooked and prime rib was grey, thin and hard to cut (supposed to be medium), looked like a Salisbury steak. No server to be found. We finally left without eating, and didn't have to pay for anything, but what a wasted birthday lunch. We've been to other locations and enjoyed, this was unprofessional from beginning to end. Even the free valet I asked for my keys cause it was a long line to get my car which was 25 feet from the restaurant door.
Ladies at the reservation desk were rude when telling us they were running 15 minutes behind reservation schedule. Reservation was for 7:30, we weren’t seated until almost 8. However, the waitress was lovely and the food was delicious
Our server Natalija was super friendly. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she knew our preferences. We told her that we were pressed for time and she made sure that everything was done expeditiously.
Our meal consisted of Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Wicked Tuna (ahi tuna poke, ahi tuna tacos, and ahi tuna strips) and Coconut Crunchy Shrimp (coconut battered shrimp with three sauces, and mango rice). The food was excellent. The baked bread was also quite good.
It lived up to our expectations from having eaten at Chart House in Charleston, SC.
Beautiful views; great service and delicious food.
Portions were small -
The whole way over priced for what was served.
Well it was my Birthday, I was a little disappointed when I wanted to get a cocktail they said the restaurant was closed. My reservation was at 8 and I was highly upset.
Absolutely! Our server, whose name escapes me, superb!
Overall was good. Was not crowded and beef entrees (filet/prime rib) were better than average. Stuffed flounder was disappointing as it lacked body and flavor. Chicken so so would have to say generally overpriced for food that was just ok
We loved it and definitely will come back!
My meal was absolutely amazing. This was a very special date with a wonderful woman in my life. I will definitely return to this restaurant again soon.
We loved the water front view. Although it took 30 mins to get our wine and 45 minutes to get our appetizer, the food was good tasty. Definitely recommend the massive slice of strawberry cheesecake for desert.
The swordfish was overcooked - portions were small and overpriced - while our waitress was pleasant and friendly, the service was extremely slow. The lava cakes were dry, almost no lava. Will not be returning.
Chart House is divine! the food and atmosphere was exquisite. i 10/10 recommend this place!
Great spot. Not too busy, nice window seating. Good food and service. Overall very nice.
The Chart House has unfortunately gone down hill over the last 20 years. 6:45PM on a Tuesday was an empty night there-max 25 ppl inside. Still had to wait about 8 minutes to be seated. We asked to be outside and were told 8 people were just seated there and the hostess would have to see if they could handle our party of 5 outside. Then the hostess proceeded to take phone calls and reservations. It was so long another person came from the second floor to ask if we were being helped. I think the hostess disappeared outside to set the table up herself. When we were finally seated there was only 2 parties of 3 outside so I don’t know how that could have been a difficult decision to have us eat outside. Then there was the sampler mojitos for 30$. One was blood orange and our son asked for a regular size blood orange mojito. The waitress said the bartender said this larger size could not be made?? We questioned the plausibility of that odd answer and were delivered our drink. The food was mediocre delivered on 2 trays to be left on another table while our waitress explained the menu to another table. They requested pasta and were confused how it was not on the menu. Meanwhile our food sat for several minutes on another table as the cool river air cooled it down. Halfway through dinner our broccoli side order for $10 arrived. Stuffed shrimp was over cooked and the quality of Golden Corral with congealed white sauce on the side and rice pilaf with clumps of pasta intermixed. Overall way overpriced for the quality of food. Service was decent except the bar service not able to make a regular size blood orange mojito but only a small sampler size????? Hmm. Ambiance with the Delaware River river view at sunset was pretty great. Great location with subpar food. So stop for an overpriced drink and relax outside or in the cocktail lounge overlooking the river and make your dinner plans elsewhere!
One of the top restaurants I’ve ever been to. Would recommend!
