If you dine here ask for Pattie she made my birthday dinner awesome! Best service ever at this chart house.
Absolutely love this place. Highly recommended for the food, ambiance, scenery and customer service. Def coming back during the summertime.
The food was amazing the service was a little slow and the restaurant was cold but the views were beautiful and again the good was delicious
Everything was great it was just to cold for me in there.
Great place for my birthday. The service and the food were very good. I had my three grandchildren 8, 11, and 14 with us, they thoroughly enjoy their meals. We will be returning at a later date. Well worth a visit.
We had not been to the Chart House in almost 15 years do to our location. In spite of COVID and a few bad reviews, we decided to give it a try. Everything was great. The view is one of the best in the city and the food and service was great.
We were not satisfied with our meal, our waitress and the overall dinner was a mess. To loud, to slow and our waitress kept forgetting items that we asked for. The lobster was overcooked and my calamari was chewy and overcooked. For the amount of money we spent I will not be coming back.
Our server was excellent, and the food was very good. The only thing I couldn’t understand, was the fact that there was only 3 other tables seated while we were there, and two of them were seated within two feet from us, which didn’t make any sense. The older gentleman who greeted us and sat us was very adamant about us wearing our mask, which I understand. Even though there was no one there, and then he seats two other tables after us right next to us while we’re all not wearing mask. It didn’t make any sense when they had the room to space us apart. He definitely was not friendly and could really use a better attitude if he’s gonna be the first person you see when walking in the restaurant.
We celebrated my wife's birthday. Everyone was very happy with their meals and we enjoyed great service from Kyle who did an excellent job
Reservations for at 4 p.m. when we arrived we was told the restaurant did not open until 4:30. Floor manager at the front desk is very unfriendly. The food took too long to come. We were seated behind the kitchen so therefore we smoke everything it was cooking on the grill and over the stove and it got very smokey. A server was very good and apologetic that they fail to meet our expectations. When we were leaving the same person floor manager eyes soon at the front desk did not say thank you for coming did you enjoy safe ride home, e t c. But I left them in the Chart House to a friend is my friend only care about receiving good taste in food and nothing else of course I will however if everything else I mentioned is also a factor with them I would not
The worst….hard to explain how bad! A party of 8 and none of us could ever recall a worst dinning experience! Drink orders - wrong, food orders wrong and for a couple of us not edible! Deserts, to die for…if you ate molten lava cake, you’d probably die! Slowest service, inaccurate orders, poor food quality made for a long night!
Hard to give a Poor review when the food was good, but I did.
Service was horrible, not the fault of the servers. Seems Chart House made too many reservations for the amount of staff they had.
People were walking out, tired of waiting for a server. When a manager walked by my friend asked "people are getting up and walking out do you want us to leave". His reply "go ahead if you want".
What kind of way is that to talk to a guest.
Our meal went like this, sat down at 7PM. Got our drinks at 7:50. Bread at 8:20.
Appetizers at 8:45. Main course at 9:10. Desserts served before we were done main course. They also came with the second drink we ordered about an hour earlier. Didn't eat desserts or have drinks. Paid bill and left.
This was the fifth New Years Eve our group have gone to the Chart House. It will be our last.
One more thing in such a hurry to leave never noticed that we were charged for two appetizers that never came.
During our wait we were calling other restaurants to get into but being a holiday they were all booked.
Exceptional NYE menu
I'm not sure what was going on but our waiter Don was trying to do his best but the manager was being rude to him..This was the worst night of my life. The Chart House usually be on point but not New Year eve...Very disappointed ..hope they get their act together
I really like the decor and location. The food was pretty good however the service was horrible. We never even got our dessert, that we paid for . The wait time was ridiculous to the point our server said he would get a manager. Needless to say the manager never came to our table. We just paid the bill by using the online bill pay and left. Doubt if we will ever return here.
Fantastic food! Great price for a New Year’s Eve dinner!
View of the Delaware is beautiful. Food was very good. Enjoyed the evening.
My grandson earned an excellent report card . I celebrated him with a dinner with a friend!
The food and service was great . I am also thankful we were given a window seat as requested .
Overall everything was good that we ordered. We didnt like the clam chowder soup however
Food was good. We went on Christmas so the service was a little slow. The server seemed like she had too many tables and the food took a long time to come out. We thought maybe they were short staffed due to the holiday. Indoor waterfall could use a face lift but you can't beat the view.
Me and my wife had a wonderful time well she'll be back soon thank you again for a great experience
I rarely ever review a restaurant, but this time I felt compelled. We're very disappointed tonight however, now that time passed we thought we'd try again. Well, time did not help. On a good note - our two filets were good & cooked the way we like them (medium/medium well). That's usually the tough part of the restaurant experience. I'm glad we had a good filet!!!! But our waitress ruined the experience. When she wasn't happy with one of our questions regarding the kids' menu - that was it for her. She was angry & showed it. My husband ordered the filet & lobster tail & angrily she informed us we could only order from the Christmas menu. (It was on it. We had to point it out to her.)
We received our steak knives AFTER we ate our steak. The people around us enjoyed bread for the table; we had to ask for it and then we waited quite some time - seconds before our entrees. We had to pile our glasses up on the edge of the table to get her attention that we needed refills. I would have ordered more wine if she ever came back. We were charged for extra shrimp which we didn't order (an extra 10.00) but to be honest we didn't even bother to say anything b/c we just wanted to leave. There is now an automatic 18% for parties of 5 & we are a family of 5 (3 kids/2 adults). So she received an 18% tip regardless of the fact that it was awful service. (Since my husband was a bartender and waiter for years, we almost always tip over 20% - and 18% was too much for this service.) TIP = To Insure Performance. We joked how the server next to us was the nice one - why we couldn't we have her. Sadly, this definitely doesn't encourage us to come back. I tried to say something to someone when we left but no one was at the front desk. I waited but no one came back & then we just wanted to leave.
Service was pleasant but spotty even though there were only 2 tables occupied in our asection. River view from second level was outstanding. Quality of food was substandard (lamb was grissly and fatty; beef filet came well done, but was ordered medium well). Poor value for the fixed price.
The absolute worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. Never going back and will not be recommending to friends or family.
We had to wait almost an hour to be seated, so many people were waiting for their table for at least 30 minutes. Our server was about the only thing that made the night, she was very nice and tried her best to speed things as much as possible for us. Our drinks took forever to be made at the bar and the appetizers were mediocre at best. By the time we finally got our entrees we were already full on bread and took everything to go. Overall, it wasn’t worth the price. Super disappointing as a Christmas Eve dinner.
It was XMas Eve...It's Covid...It's tough to staff-up these days.....But they tried. Patience is a virtue and ours was tested. We survived, but not really a pleasant evening. When 'things' don't all line up, it's a problem. Our experience is NOT normal. Normally, it's VERY good! It's not worth nit-picking. No one thing contributed to our negative experience; It was all of them over 2.5hrs.
We've been going 25 years, and on XMas Eve for probably 15 of them. We'll go back. Chalk it up to what I noted in my first sentence. They were appreciative of our patience, all good. But some folks....well, expectations were TOO high.
The poor waitress and manager tried there best but it was so understaffed. They couldn’t keep up. Our drinks took 45 minutes from bar. The waitress took our good order after 40 minutes. The good was good. It just took forever. It was Xmas eve and we were very forgivining and still left a big tip. They should’ve closed. Or limited reservations.
There we’re not enough waiters for the amount of tables that needed to be attended to. The double shots of whiskey were way less than what they should have been. The decor needs a fresh updating. There stuck in the 90’s. And the food is not as good as it use to be an the portions are small.
A very enjoyable experience. Waiter and food were excellent.
Our server was excellent. The waterfront view was serene and relaxing. Great spot for a date with your significant other.
The service & food was AMAZING!
This was my first time coming here and I’m very pleased , the service was great, the food was great, and the view and restaurant was absolutely wonderful … I highly recommend for special occasion.
My dining experience was interrupted my mice running across the dining room. When I mentioned it to our server, she said “I know, we’ve been hearing that all night”. Although my server was pleasant, I was not satisfied with my dining experience. It was awful and disgusting.
words can not express how much we enjoyed our time at the Chart House Restaurant the food was AMAZING we had the Chart Special which was a complete meal. We will definitely be returning customers.
Excellent place. Highly recommend. Great food great views great atmosphere.
Staff was unusually slow this evening which was not the unusual
Nice meal and view.
The food and ambiance were good. I’m not sure what happened with the server but the service was beyond slow.
Good food great waitress but they need more help.
