AWFUL!!! We walked out before eating or drinking anything.

This fiasco started off with waiting over 15 minutes to be seated. The host seated about 4 parties that arrived AFTER we checked in. It was only after I reminded the host that we had not yet been seated that we were led to our table. It was a huge booth for 6 in the very back of the restaurant. There were just the two of us.

We had barely opened our menu when someone came to ask about our drink order and we asked him to come back after we had a little time to review the drink menu.

NOBODY came back to serve us. Our table was located by a server’s station and there were plenty of servers scurrying by and setting up trays on the tray stands. We felt as if we were sitting directly outside of the kitchen door. It should have been obvious to any one of these servers that we had not even had our water glasses filled.

We decided to leave and I promise you that we will never return.

NOTE: we’ve eaten at several other Chart House location s and each of these were top notch and would have received a 5 star review. Not this one. They don’t deserve to be part of this chain.

Was a great first experience at this restaurant. Good food selection and wine list reasonable priced bottles of wine. Great place for a mid week dinner date with a a significant other

Special Occasion Plus+ - We went to Chart House for a birthday and it is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. But it is a great place to go for no occasion. The food is the best. Great quality and perfect service :)

Excellent evening for a date with my little girl. All of the servers were very attentive, and the food was superb.

Emily, working her first night on her own, did a great job. Shrimp beignets were good. Salad bar was wonderful-as it always is. Everyone at the table said there entree was cooked to perfection. Desserts were really good too.

We were in the area for my wife to attend a business convention. Having a great experience in Daytona Beach I thought it would be a great idea to visit this Chart House location. We were not disappointed at all. We were seated with a beautiful view, our waitress was outstanding and the food was delicious ! So very happy we chose the Chart House for our special night.

First time at the Chart House Restaurant in Newport (Cincinnati) and we were pleasantly surprised. Arrived early for reservation but we were seated right away at a window table with a wonderful view of the Ohio River and the skyline of downtown Cincinnati. Service was thoughtful and timely. Mahi Mahi was prepared exactly as ordered and although known for their seafood two at our table opted for steak and thought it was amazing. The lava cake for dessert was a special treat. Will definitely return.

My wife had a good filet, done as ordered. I had a Mahi dish which was good. We then made the mistake of having desert. My desert was Key Lime Pie the pie was decent for the first half, then I bit into something hard which turned out to be the plastic lower half of a bottle cap. Of course I told the waitress. I told her and said I guess you need to let your desert supplier know about this. She said we make every thing in our kitchen.

So I guess their kitchen needs to not put plastic into desert. Skip desert and stop at Graeters!

The service was WONDERFUL but my dish was "ok" the food can be better for the prices but they are not over the top.

Excellent server. Good food. Only issue was bartender did not make hand made stuffed olives with blue cheese so the server did! Food was very good. Went went for Easter dinner.

Me and my wife celebrated our 2 year anniversary here. It was very quiet romantic and service and food was amazing. We will definitely be going back for more casual dates as well

The Chart House is our favorite place to celebrate a special occasion. We always request Wendy as our server, she is amazing. Love it!

Server and chef were very accommodating and helpful with my gluten and dairy restrictions. Server was well versed in menu selections and made great recommendations. She made us feel welcomed and special. Food was delicious and plentiful. Salad bar was fresh with tons of choices. I enjoyed the feature steak, but the fingerings were dry. My wife said the filet was delicious.

My wife and I have been to the Chart House many times as they have one of the best, if not the best happy hours in our area but we had never eaten in the dining room. It was our 29th wedding anniversary and we were seated next to the windows and had a front row seat to watch as the Ohio river flowed by. My wife had shrimp and scallops with gnocchi and I had the 10oz Prime rib. Both meals were excellent and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We will most definitely go back for both happy hour and to eat in the dining room again and I would recommend the Chart House to anyone who is looking for a very nice place with great food.

I really enjoy eating at Chart House - have done so in a variety of locations. My visit to the Newport, KY Chart House was not as enjoyable as others because, even with a reservation, we waited 50 minutes for our table to be ready. Very disappointing.

Server was excellent. The wait with having reservations was longer then we liked. 20 minutes for a table with reservations was not expected. However the food was incredible.

My husband and I went just for drinks and appetizers. The bar was full so we sat at a table. Only problem was we could not get happy hour prices. For was very good and plenty of it.

Great view not crowded on Monday good food great service not so good if you go when crowded too many business people eating for free making big deals

The ambiance is so relaxing and romantic. Salad bar is exceptional, always fresh and delicious. Our plates were clean after our meal, everything prepared perfectly. Food is always excellent. We ate every bite.

We had party of 6. Our food was delayed and some of us sent back because the food was cold. Our dessert was the famous brownie, but it came out overdone. We love this restaurant, but disappointed this time

My wife and I celebrated my 59th birthday. It was a chilly, damp evening, but the Chart House was a welcome refuge, overlooking the Ohio River, which - just a couple days before - had been much higher. The flooding was bad enough that we had considered canceling our overnight trip to Cincy (from south-central Indiana). We’re glad that we didn’t.

The crowd was quite light, though a group of ladies entertained us from the bar, likely blowing off steam after work. Their banter was loud and often raunchy, but it provided an amusing backdrop for the first 30 minutes or so. Our server, McKenzie, was delightful and attentive, throughout our 2 hours there. We started with the featured libation, prepared table side. It was OK, but at $22 each, we’ll likely pass next time. Other than that, however, the rest of our meal was delicious. My wife and I both splurged for the King Crab. Again, pricey, but worth every cent. Our portions were very generous and prepared perfectly. We finished by splitting the signature lava cake, a great choice to end our evening.

We’ll definitely return someday...
