   A beautiful setting for dinner. Chart House has been a favorite around the nation. Tonight was not one if thier better evenings. The salmon was overcooked as was the Fish in the Boulibase. Our waitress was excellent working with a very slow kitchen. A gentleman came to tell us he was keeping an eye on the kitchen without introducing himself. We thought he was another waiter. He was the manager. I appreciate his efforts along with the 15% discount. Hope they can find help in the kitchen.

   This has always been a special favorite of ours… Always had a wonderful evening… Tonight was a disappointment. I am sorry to say..

   Mediocre food for the price. I would expect higher quality for a beautiful restaurant, sitting on the banks of the Ohio river with spectacular views. Disappointed the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. And skip the early dining menu, quality of food was like TGIF.

   If for no other reason, a trip the the Chart House is a must do for the beautiful view of Cincinnati best appreciated from the KY side of the Ohio River. Even better, the food does not disappoint. The Mahi and Sous Vide Chicken we had were both excellent. My clam chowder was a welcome surprise of light, sweet flavors that were not anticipated but greatly appreciated. It was a busy night and the pace of the kitchen was not fast or consistent. When we did get our food, it made up for it The waitstaff checked in with us throughout and made sure we were kept informed of the status of our meal. Highly recommended and I would repeat this experience even if I knew there might be a mild delay on dinner as the view of the barges and riverboats making their way up and down the river were captivating.

   The view is fantastic and our server, Mary, was excellent. Unfortunately our food was terrible. Very dry Halibut, overbooked green beans, and tasteless steak. To their credit, we didn’t have to pay for it.

   Always good, just can’t get the soup clam chowder right it was Nicely thick with no flavor or flavor but very soupy

   Absolutely loved the food at The Chart House in Newport, KY. All six of us in our party were pleased with their meals. The waiter even went out of his way to satisfy a dessert selection for one of the folks in our party....very nice! My only comments were that we didn't realize there was a special Easter Sunday menu vs. the regular menu published online. Hence, one of our guests found selecting their entre a real problem. Sure wish somehow we would have known this at the time of our reservation. And lastly, holidays are busy and Easter Sunday around 5 pm is no exception. But, it was very noisy and we all had a problem hearing our waiter simply trying to share with our group the wine list, menu options, etc. But the food was the star of the evening, so we will be back.

   The Easter menu had a set of 10 excellent entree courses. The surf and turf, seafood pasta, and halibut dishes were delicious in addition to the starters and dessert. Our service was excellent and the staff was as friendly as ever! We had an enjoyable holiday dinner!

   We were a party of 6 adults for Easter. Our server was Ayla and she was excellent. Very attentive. We were seated right away. We were impressed with the selection in the pre-set menu. Nice view of the river. We never felt rushed. Our food was good especially the lobster bisque. Our party ordered: prime rib (one request was very rare and arrived just as requested), NY strip (one of these was pretty charred but otherwise ok), lobster tails and shrimp & lobster carbonara. The prime rib slices were very thin. The carbonara portion was very small. For dessert we ordered with cheesecake or lava cake. The lava cake was not good (no lava in the middle! Just a small Bundt cake).

    Our food on Easter did not disappoint. We had never been to Chart House before but we will definitely be back and soon.
