We are regulars with this restaurant and we love it. However, they fit in more and more tables and it became like TGIF now. Last Friday it was so full so the fish was overcooked, the mushrooms were undercooked, and the overall ambiance was like a hamburger joint. I made my concerns voiced to the managers but got a “oh we are sorry why didn’t you say it earlier so we gave you a free desert” response from them. I don’t need their charity I need their attention to my food and service. I didn’t complain for discount. It is a 100 per person restaurant with alcohol. I think the response should be much more professional apology instead of here is your freebie.
Service and food was very good with a great view of the river. Complementary birthday dessert was excellent. My Ahi Tuna was excellent.
I had told Open Table it was for my birthday, but that was not passed on to Chart House. Once they heard my tablemates talking about it, our server said she would give me a special dessert. I don’t think Open Table said anything.
The early menu at Chart House is very worthwhile. Love that salad bar!!
Outstanding prime rib. Fantastic Lava Cake. Very engaging server
This is my third time we have eaten at this restaurant. Excellent food and service. Look forward to our next visit. Thanks for a great dinning experience.
Service was slow; had one mixed cocktail and it was not prepared correctly; limited menu; very noisy and hard to have a conversation, even the server had to lean in to hear us. Since opening up the bar area we have tried to go twice and have been disappointed both times. Will not go again.
We were only disappointed with the lack of parking. Cars are crammed into very tight spots.
Dinner was excellent! We had a filet and the scallops special. The filet was a little overdone and server took it back and presented a new filet perfectly done in record time. It wasn’t a problem at all and the server recognizes immediately after cutting that it was over done. Very pleased with everything.
Great seafood !
Outstanding customer service !
Great ! ! ! ! ! !
They need gluten free options on their early dinging menu & gluten free bread - also sauces & vegetables would have been nice as part of the included entree
We all enjoyed the great food, view, dolphins, service and everything about the Chart House. Chris, the valet, is great, too😊
We arrived for our reservation as the restaurant opened and were happy to get a window table and watch porpoises swimming in the river. Our server seemed to be handling a number of tables, so our orders were slow. There was only one vegetarian option, other than the salad bar. Food was ok.
I will never go back, it was the worst experience I ever had, we have been there a number of times, I
the Food and Service was excellent, when we walked in the sound level was over whelming .
I had requested a table the window and there were a lot flies in the window sill
Fabulous as always!!
We had a ball... the food was excellent as well as the service
It started out not so good we had asked early in our reservations for a window table we didn't find out until we got there that it was impossible. A simple phone call sometime during the day to inform us that it couldn't happen would had been nice I explained to the person at the desk It didn't seem to make a difference we were seated immediately in a comfortable booth and had a fantastic appetizer with different cheeses and meats that was well prepared. The clam chowder was excellent, that was the last thing that was good , the stuffed flounder was made with claw meat and it was like mush without flavor, the potatoes that were served with the fish we're supposed to be mashed Yukon Gold potatoes they tasted like they were mashed with water and we're extremely Blain. My wife's salmon was overcooked and farm-raised. We would have expected for the price of the salmon that would had been Wild. We were very disappointed with our meal and to be honest we have had better meals for one quarter of the price. This was one of the most disappointing meals we have had in a long time. On a positive note Johnny our waiter was excellent.
Great dinner and our server, Shannon, was excellent!
Good restaurant. The drinks were good and the Grouper. Certainly worth a night out.
The food is so good here, this was our second visit and while the service was almost OK, I was a bit disappointed at how our server handled the delay in our pre-ordered dessert....if you want the lava cake (so worth it!) you need to order it 30 minutes in advance, which we did. We waited and waited, all the while feeling that our server was avoiding us. Our empty plates sat on our table for over 20 minutes. We watched him remove plates from other tables.... definitely avoiding us. Finally my husband called him over and asked for the bill... "oh what about your dessert?" yea, just what we were thinking.... still our plates were left on the table as he scurried off to the kitchen. When the desert finally came (along with our check) we were told that someone else had taken ours in error... I can totally understand that and would have understood if he told us he forgot to put the order in... stuff happens, but to avoid us, never explaining the delay, leaving us with our plates for that long would have loved a coffee while waiting, however couldn't get his attention long enough to ask for it, it definitely was not offered. A bit disappointed as this a special occasion for us.
Advertised as a fancy restaurant but the food is poor. The avocado was brown, the fried shrimp were served with fried noodles and the oil tasted bad. The best cured salmon and the pan seared salmon were alright. Nice ambiance and service.
I took two of my adult children and one daughter in law to The Chart House in Melbourne for a birthday dinner celebration for my daughter and son. The entire experience was simple wonderful. Great service from Melissa, and delicious food from start to finish. I look forward to my next visit.
IT was not as good as the last time. One entree was returned (overcooked steak), waited a long time for drinks, water, and bread (waited even longer for enough bread for the entire table),. Desserts were just so, so and wait staff was not nearly as attentive as on previous Chart House occasions. Bartender was very nice as were the hostesses.
My daughter is away at college & it's the first year I can't be with her. I booked a reservation for her & her bf. She had a wonderful time. The food was great. They even brought her dessert with a candle in it. I was very pleased
Good food and salad bar. View is fantastic. Busy and even with open table reservation expect to wait 5 min for table to be ready
I was not happy with our service. We were still eating our salad when our food came. I felt like we were being rushed! By the time we got to
Our meal it was cold! This is not something we do all the time so when we go out it’s a treat and we like to enjoy it!
I have been a long time customer of the Chart House in Daytona Beach and Melbourne and I must stress that it has never disappoint me nor the company I bring. I always feel very confident my clients and/or friends will enjoy a the exquisite menu and the great selection of wine and spirits. The Chart House is highly recommended if you want to have a fantastic time and want to impress your company.
I DID NOT like the fact that I was forced to use valet parking!!!!!! The salad bar and all the other entree selections were extremely overpriced. The Kimchi Calamari was excellent. Diana was a friendly and knowledgeable server. She made the dining experience for my family very pleasant.
The food was good, not exceptional. I expected more! Salad bar was disappointing, could have a larger variety. Very pricey.
We had a fabulous Easter dinner. The stuffed flounder was awesome and the Hot Chocolate Molten Lava Cake is out of this world.
Jerry our waiter was wonderful... the food was outstanding...
It was amazing... Going back this Friday..
Booked Chart House for Easter Brunch for family members driving into Melbourne from various parts of Central Florida. Food was great, service was very good...location / view wonderful. Only comment was that we felt rushed as if the server was trying to turn the table quickly because we were not offered dessert or coffee.
Wonderful view on the River. Food was tasty and service attentive.
Have gone mostly for special occasions.
Have had twice early bird specials, together with salad bar. Satisfying without being overstuffed.
Lava cake is definetely a must have for two.
Open Table booking is the best....quick and easy.
Very loud, almost like eating alone for the most part, unable to hear my wife most of the time.
It was very nice that the manager came over to our table to see how the food was, but he never stated his name. At first we weren’t sure who he was when he was bending way over a chair almost into our food but then he was very pleasant
We are regulars, and this visit a continuation of top notch in all respects. Although food to table was a bit slow, on point manager acknowledged same, visited our table several times to apologize, and made it right at the end of the evening without any request or promoting from us. Food was delicious and table and view wonderful, for this birthday celebration.
The food was really great. I had the ahi tuna which was perfectly prepared. I really wanted to try the roasted artichoke but it was only available on the happy hour menu which is a bit unfortunate.
Overall the meal was amazing and the view was exceptional.
The food and service is always good. We go there often and have always been pleased. The noise level is excessive but tolerable.
