We went here thinking it was a hug end establishment. However, we couldn’t have been more wrong.
10oz steak was 45% unrendered squidgy fat, utterly disgusting. The steak was also over cooked, under seasoned and had not been laid to rest (blood ran on to the plate).
The fish was under cooked and under seasoned.
Rushed, rude and uncomfortable.
I would not return or ever recommend, utterly disappointed.
I ordered the escargo, you were out! I was told it was new on the menu, so how could you be out?
I ordered clam chowder - it came luc warm
I ordered the prime rib med rare - I was told the only prime rib you had was well done.
The salad is bar is excellent. The fish is always fresh. And the best broccoli in LA
The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. It wasn’t crowded and yet it was almost one hour from the time we ordered to the time the food was brought to the table. It took a long time to get our drinks as well. Food was good, but the slow service put a damper on our birthday celebration.
A hidden gem. Staff was terrific and Lorenzo our wait person was outstanding.
They were severely under staffed given that this was Mother's Day at dinner time. Our waiter only came to check on us three times. Don't know if it was his attention to detail or the fact that he may have had too many tables, although we didn't see him serving others in our vicinity.
Excellent food and service. A little pricey but not bad. More noisy for a restaurant of this quality.

Upon arrival the hostess wasn’t welcoming she appeared like she didn’t want to seat us. But our waitress was superb we received our food and drinks in a timely manner and explained whatever questions we had in regards to our meal. She also looked out for us as some creepy guy started to record us on his phone. OMG! The manager, yes the manager was freaky AMAZING and also very funny he kept us laughing throughout the evening. Even made sure that my cousins and I enjoyed our meal and that we had a great experience. I will most definitely return, this is now our new lunch/dinner spot when my cousins come to town.

'Been to many Chart House locations. This was perhaps the smallest considering the dining and vestibule/waiting area. 'Took awhile to be seated, even with reservations. Took even longer to get the attention of the wait staff and obtain beverage service. All in all, service was slow, the salad bar staff was inattentive and we left feeling like we were somewhat of an inconvenience to the restaurant staff. I htink they were understaffed and just plain spread too thin. I also think our server didn't want to be at work/on duty that evening & it certainly was reflected in her service attitude & expediency. 'will return to other locations, probably not this one.
Sad. We lived in the marina for 17 years and chart house was a staple dinner place for us. 1 meal was cold, dry and tasteless. The other two fine w/ the salmon quite nice. A mixed bag--but overall a low rating. We have had bad experiences in the past too usually involving food quality. May be we have been too loyal. The waitress was a hoot, the manager is always calm and helpful.

Everything was great. The view of the harbor is also nice.
The waiter was slow at responding and did forget our after dinner drinks...had to remind him. He was very nice. It was not that busy so I am a little complexes why it was taking a long time to get our meal. Maybe it was the kitchen. Meal was excellent.
Always a great place for a great dinner. Food is outstanding with awesome views of the marina. Service is exceptional. Always trying to please!
Charthouse is consistent. The good isn’t outstanding but “good enough”. I don’t think they even try to make it fantastic. Even the salad bar is lacking. Years ago it was fabulous because it was the only place that had a salad bar, but today it’s just basic. They do a Cesar salad but again it’s ok but not a “wow”. My salmon was a narrow piece , cooked fine but not a great taste- just “ok”. They were defund generous with their veggies since I didn’t want the rice. We finished with a Mud Pie ice cream dessert that really IS great!

Tonight was grand. Superb food, service and atmosphere.
Potatoes served with my wife’s filet were cold. Server provided new warm portion. Also the $40 filet mignon my wife had was tough and had minimal flavor. I expected much better quality for the price paid. The mahi mahi I had was very good as was the rest of my meal.
Prime rib was full of grizzle and ridiculously chewy. I usually love this place but it was off that night. Husband’s shrimp pasta dish was very light on shrimp and mediocre.

Yesterday we came in to celebrate my son's 7th birthday and my birthday.
We ordered drinks and some appetizers. Our server told us my cocktail would take long to be made so I asked for a glass of wine while I wait. After quite a bit of a wait, we ended up getting appetizers without serving plates. Then the wine after the appetizers. I had ordered filet mignon with a crab tail for my entree. The "medium rare" filet mignon that I specifically asked for came not only late but was "well-cooked". And that cocktail drink, which I was told would be late, came so late that after seeing it I couldn't understand why it would take so much time to make.
Our server, who saw that my meat was overly cooked, apologized and took the filet mignon plate back into the kitchen to ask for a new one. At this point, all my family were halfway through eating their main dish and were ready for their desert. The second plate came in and we cut it open in front of the server. Again it was not medium rare :(
So here is the deal, you guys. When you're paying over $40 for just a steak, you want to make sure you get it the way you asked for it. I don't enjoy sending my plate back nor do I enjoy ruining my experience by arguing with the server, but any meat lover will attest to the fact that if you love your steak medium rare, then you do not enjoy eating it any other way. And you certainly should not settle when you are paying a premium for a food that comes in mediocre.
At this point, the server went back into the kitchen, after a while came back with her phone's flashlight, only to argue with me at my table about the lightning in the restaurant and that the food really is medium rare (which by the way, she had stood with me
me as I cut open the second meat and saw that it was not).
So here we are, here at this restaurant to celebrate our birthdays and the server is arguing with me, I'm still hungry but everybody's food is eaten and I've pretty much stuffed myself w
I recommended many friends and family to visit the restaurant.
I ordered the filet mignon. It was among the best I've ever eaten, tender and the best flavor. I ordered a flavored butter to top it - delicious! I had the smaller of the two sizes available - it was a good size and left me well satisfied. I was dubious about mashed potatoes, but was very pleasantly surprised with the great taste and texture.
No. I have not been to Chart house in years. We use to live in Palos Verdes and went to the one in Redondo Beach. This location needs a makeover and all the food was very greasy! Clark the bartender while we were waiting for our table was excellent!
We haven’t been to the Chart House in a few years. So happy we rediscovered it. Excellent dining experience and the staff is wonderful! Highly recommend.

The Hostess was great and seated us a little early, and our Waiter, Jake, was exceptional with his patience and suggestions. Even the Parking valet service was great.

Chart House has excellent food and out of this world service. We go for special occasions and are never disappointed.
We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. Then after we were seated we had to wait another 10 minutes for anyone to come over and take our drink orders. Thank goodness there is a salad bar and we could get something to munch on. The food did come quickly in fact it came before we got our drinks. Perhaps there is a problem with bartending and maybe you need An extra hand. Our waiter was a great guy and doing the best h
e could. I could see him running and I do mean running outside to wait on people out there besides trying to wait on us and that is inside. Again maybe another later on Saturday night
Bar service was extremely slow weather it was water or cocktails. Salad Bar was good as always and the lobster springs rolls were light and refreshing. I was slightly disappointed in the Dynamite Sea Bass, topping overwhelmed fish and was unappealing.
Celebrating a 65th birthday. Special “Happy Birthday” menus. Very nice touch. Nice surprise desert. Would recommend highly !
Unfortunately, my dish was spicy despite having the waiter claim that it was not. Did not receive any kind of dessert despite it being my birthday, and they upcharged us for changing our sides without letting us know there was a cost. Used to enjoy it here, but won't be coming back again anytime soon.

Restaurant was pretty empty, as was the bar, but we waited over 20 minutes for first cocktail (to my dining companion) and another 10 minutes for mine! I ordered one of their advertised signature cocktails...shouldn’t they be ready for that!?!? Food was good, though not outstanding. The only standout was our server, who was perfectly attentive and even voluntarily comped our VERY late cocktails!
This location simply isn’t on a par with other Charthouse locations, and I say that after three very disappointing dinners.
