The worst meal we had on vacation. The prime rib was cool and tasteless. The king crab legs were also tasteless except for one section of one leg. The chopped salad was limp. The martini tasted watered down. All in all a very disappointing experience.

View is great, second time in the last month food was warm, not hot. The last visit had a cold pc of cod and a hot pc next to each other. Made me wonder how far in advance food was prepared.

This restaurant is in need of an overhaul. Very worn, the room and the staff. Cold food, waited for ever for a beer, got it as I was finishing my meal. Coconut shrimp was cold as was my wife’s baked potato.
Will not be going back.

Food and service were excellent. The maitre d was very kind in our seating. Had a beautiful window table to enjoy the sunset. Our Birthday and Anniversary celebration was perfect

Service was very good but the food was only fair, especially for the prices charged; the king crab legs were obviously frozen, not fresh, and lacked flavor. Nice location and ambiance but well overpriced for the quality of the food...we won’t be back

The food and service was great with fabulous vistas. The last time I was in this restaurant was 20 years ago and the decor has not changed that much, kinda dated but this shouldn’t turn you off not visiting. This is a great restaurant and will return next time I am in Longboat Key.

I am visiting my father from Boston and when I requested we go to marina jacks for dinner because I wanted a water view my father recommended the Chart house instead. I couldn’t make a window request online (it said to make one upon arrival) I did and was denied. A party of 4 was seated at a window 5 minutes after us. Our server was friendly but very overwhelmed, it seems she had too much on her plate (lack of a better term) we ordered a bottle of wine to go along with dinner. She put the wine chiller on the table before our meals arrived and we were hopeful the wine was coming soon after. Our meals arrived and we were a 1/4 of a way into them and we all had to pause because we wanted the wine to enjoy with our meal. A manager came along at that time and inquired about our experience so far. We explained the missing wine and lo and behold the wine appeared with a very stressed server. We felt terrible, it was not her, she was stretched too thin. The manager said “well here is your wine, I will come back and check on things soon”. Well, we didn’t see that Manager again and we weren’t able to elaborate that the fish that 2 out of the 4 people in our party ordered was dried out and the 5 martinis we paid for were 3/4 of the way full. I have never seen that before, $12 a piece and missing part of the $12 and the chocolate martinis were terrible. When the server did bring the wine, she didn’t pour a sample and give time to taste, she just poured 3 glasses and then never returned to refill glasses. The lava cake that we were excited about and ordered at the beginning of the meal was over cooked and NO lava. Not really sure what it was, cake wasn’t warm and chocolate center was hardened. Definitely not what we were looking forward too!
We had high hopes of a great dining experience for the money we knew we would spend and sadly it was a let down. My parents named several places they should have taken me for a more superb bang for the same buck!

Very disappointed!

Ate there a couple weeks ago and had excellent waitress and meal was superb. Debbie was our waitress on 4/5 and she was cool, aloof, and sharp tongued. Salmon was overlooked and dry. Vegetables are to be somewhat undercooked, but these tasted as though they had not seen a stove, and we're beyond tough!!!

Went to dinner there after a friend recommended. View of water is nice but I felt the place is very dated and cold. Service was however very good but found the food was ok but not memorable. Forks and napkins were on the floor as well as bread which had to be pointed out to staff to attend to. Sorry, too many other places to go to in the area. Prices were high but not outrageous.

There was a 1" bug in my wife's salad. We got a "sorry" from an attendant but nothing else . The food was ok but not great as it has been in the past. Our server was new, nice, but did not submit our order so we waited an hour for our food. We love the view and ambiance, but overall it is not a shadow of what it has been for many years. We has visited this Chart House for the last time.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Sarasota area, but the last few visits were not so pleasant because of extremely slow service. The servers are pleasant and competent but seemed to be slowed by having to wait on too many tables.

Chart House on Longboat Key has never disappointed us. If you go early, it serves delicious apps and drinks in the bar area at a great price.

In the dining area, the view of the bay is spectacular. There are now a few tables outside, which we'd like to try sometime.

Though this is a small nationwide chain, we always find the food quite good. If you order before 6pm, there is a delightful Early Bird menu that includes a wonderful salad bar. Prices are higher after 6pm, but well worth it. Our service was excellent and we were able to finish in time to enjoy Opening Night of the Sarasota Film Festival.

The view is beautiful, and the salad bar is exceptional. Service is consistently attentive.

Food is always great. Nice early specials. Service not the best this time, but will still go back. They give you a nice ce cream treat for birthdays. The server had to be reminded even though it was included in the reservation, the person who seated us knew, and we reminded the server twice. We still love The Chart House.

Overall not worth the money and time. Service extremely slow, never got a drink refill in an hour and a half service for 2 people. It was not that busy. The filet mignon came out and looked beat up like a really cheap cut of grade b meat. The lobster soup was okay, not great perhaps the film on top hurt the flavor. Stuffed shrimp came with congealed orzo. It was apparent stuff sat in the window way way too long. Never again

Went here to celebrate our engagement while on vacation and it was the worst meal we had all week. We experienced slow, bad service and cold food, and we were not alone. We asked to speak with a manager, and so did multiple tables around us. Will not recommend to others and will not return.

Really disappointed. The service wasn’t the best, server walked by multiple tones with out looking at us. Food was expensive which is ok but I want exceptional food and service for those prices. I ordered cedar plank salmon but it was over cooked, dry and tasteless. The ice cream special was all out so we got the raseberry shetberini and it was pretty good at a reasonable price. I will probably never go back.

we sat outdoors which was a highlight of our experience. The view of the causeway and homes across the bay is terrific and the water a glorious combination of blues, greens and turquoise. We watched dolphin, paddle boarders, sea gulls, pelicans and boats. The temperature was perfect, as was our waiter.

We brought family to CH for the first time. The service was absolutely terrible. From start to finish— ending with the server charging us for 2 full extra meals and several extra drinks. It was so so embarrassing. Then she had a tantrum and stormed out of the restaurant in front of us!!!! Could not believe it.
