We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My scallops and shrimp were quite good, and the mushrooms with them were a great accompaniment. My boyfriend’s salmon and mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly. One minor problem, the air conditioning vent above his forearm was dripping every few minutes for the first half of our time seated (not in the food, thankfully). There was a lot of condensation on the windows due to the temperature changing rapidly this afternoon, so perhaps that’s why the vent dripped, too.

Amber was our server. We went for a Thanksgiving Day turkey meal. The restaurant was very busy, and she had several customers besides us. She was courteous, prompt with our food , and always had a smile on her face despite the very challenging conditions for the staff. She was the highlight of our visit!

Service was excellent, food was okay, probably due to consolidated menu for Thanksgiving, filet was excellent, shrimp were tasteless and dessert cake was hard like it had been sitting out. Great view, maybe we will try again when it’s not a major holiday.

Without a doubt, it was the best dinner out I've had in a long time. It was Thanksgiving, and the entire experience was top-shelf. From the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left, it was 5 star.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Chart House Restaurant, and it was wonderful. The service was awesome as always. The options for dinner offered something for everyone if you didn't want a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The view of the water also adds to the meal!

Service was excellent. Foods was good, but we found the Thanksgiving menu was limited and at a set price not their normal menu. Overall, they have improved their service 100% since our last visit. The view is excellent!

This is the third Chart House we’ve visited and the food is always terrific. The service is always great but was terrible at Sarasota. Probably just our server .

We got married and planned a nice dinner for us and our guests at Chart House. WHAT A HORRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT First our martinis came out in non-martini glasses. Then we waited over an hour for our dinner. Two people in our party ordered MR filets. The steaks came out well done. Two people in the party ordered lobster tails. They came out very well done. When we brought this to the servers attention, she offered to replace them. So we waited over half an hour for our new meals. One person kept her very overcooked salmon because she was hungry and proceeded to eat alone. Our new meals were ok but we were so disgusted by then it was hard to enjoy them. The manager came over and apologized. Our bill was over $ 500 and we were so sad that we and our guests had this experience at such a "fine" restaurant

Haven’t been to Sarasota chart house in a couple years..we moved, but came back for a few days, simply missed the area. We decided to go to chart house, food was amazing our waiter was new, he was fantastic, explained options…very professional and informative. Will definitely go back in March when we have another trip planned!!!!!

Everything was superb! from the view overlooking the water to the menu choices and the service! Our dinners were delicious and we had a great time. We went for the early bird dinner - which included salad, an entree and a dessert. Our meals were delicious! Both my husband and I were very pleased. Highly recommend the Chart House! PS - we ate outside and loved it!

30 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation. 30 minutes to receive appetizer. Never delivered our lobster bisque. Would have to remind our server that we ordered drinks. They paid for a round of drinks for the bad service. It was the saving grace.

I cannot emphasize enough what a terrible experience we had at chart house. Both the service and food were abysmal. First, our server asked my friend and I if we were “adults,” before addressing the cocktail menu that was already on the table. Quite offensive as two young lawyers, who are certainly not underage. Our server proceeded to bring us cold bread and rarely check on us for the remainder of our meal. The food was the worst I’ve ever received at any chart house location. We each got an appetizer and salad with shrimp / chicken. The salads were so soggy they were inedible. The meat was over cooked and not seasoned on either salad. We politely pushed them to the edge of the table and did not eat them. 20 minutes later, the server came by to ask if we wanted a box and we said no thank you. Server did not ask if we wanted something else or if they were ok. Clearly, they were not. The manager also witnessed this and said nothing. We then paid our bills via the mobile QR code option and proceeded to leave. As we exited the restaurant the server chased after us outside of the building, yelling as if we did not pay. Humiliating experience and beyond disappointing food. I will never return to this location.

Fabulous !!! We went for early dinner on Oct 31 and selected from both the Early Dinner menu and the special Halloween menu, and all our selections were amazing. A special call out to the Halloween Wicked Shrimp Trio with a request to keep that on the menu Our server Barb was wonderful, so friendly and professional with her knowledge of the menu items - she certainly added to the enjoyment of our dining experience. The food was served freshly prepared and delivered at a perfect pace, and every bite was delicious And as for the view - absolutely stunning - watching the small sailboats and looking for dolphins - what more could you want ? The perfect dining experience I do recommend making a reservation for the dining room as it was very busy, even though it was early. As an alternative, you can opt to eat and drink in the bar area which does not require a reservation. Enjoy !

Stunning views on Longboat Key. Very attentive staff. Service was excellent. Wine selections by the glass were good and varied across price points. A few popular dishes were missing from revised menu which was a disappointment. Living in a landlocked part of the country, I was looking forward to fresh seafood and Chart House did not disappoint. Lobster bisque and clam chowder were excellent starters for my family. Shrimp dishes, salmon and scallops followed to our delight. Prime rib and filet mignon were juicy, tender and cooked perfectly. Hoping management will bring back the scalloped shell rice noodles for the Asian shrimp appetizer. It was so fun and tasty for young family members. Also wishing for better Landry restaurants like Chart House in the Austin Texas area
