Chart House Salad Bar
served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes
it was wonderful it was my Dads 70th birthday and he had an amazing time
The food service and the ambience we’re perfect. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
It was a great way to celebrate my birthday. The salmon was tasty and the views were priceless.
Great table by the window, excellent food and service and a lovely experience.
Terrible we will never go back! Food and service has changed. It had been a few years since we dined there.
We went there for our anniversary. Melissa was our waitress and was AMAZING!! All of the food except one of my husband’s twin lobster tails was amazing. I only wish their amazing salad bar could be open- but Covid ruined another good thing:) My only other issue was bread crumbs on my asparagus- not that it tasted bad but had no idea they would be there
Overall, very slow/poor service. Sat at the table for over 20 minutes before someone even brought water to our table and that was after we had to ask. Repeatedly had to ask for basic items, and some were never delivered. Definitely not even close to a higher end dinning experience.
Food was under cooked, even after sending the filet back it came back out raw (blue) in the middle. Wait staff was rude to start. Reservation was for 7:30pm and didn’t get seated until 8:15 and food didn’t make it out until after 9:00pm.
We had a great time at the bar before our reservations. Bar tenders were super. Our reservation was at 6:15 and we were promptly seated at 6:10. Great food and service. Thanks for a nice evening
Chart House always a good choice. It was our anniversary, thought they might have given us a free dessert.
We had not dined at Chart House in quite awhile. Overall not a good experience. Server was nice but was not well trained. Ordered the 3 course seafood menu. Specifically requested the Mahi not be overcooked and dried out. The kitchen prep time was very slow. They sent my soup course and mussels out at the same time. My husband’s soup and appetizer arrived at about the same time as well. The mussels were overly salty and the mahi was overcooked and dried out.
Would not return anytime soon. The view is not worth the mediocre food. The table next to us also complained about the delay in receiving their food and that the preparation was not as described on the menu. Apparently our experience was not unusual.
Had a wonderful meal. Great menu and bar selection. Our server was awesome.
Enjoyed a special occasion birthday dinner at this restaurant which we’ve enjoyed for the past four years. However this time we were disappointed in the food and special touches we’ve enjoyed in the past. The twin lobster tails looked more like two oversized shrimp, and the stuffed shrimp was cold and just mediocre. In past birthday dinners a personalized menu was provided which apparently has fallen to the wayside. This may be a function of the ups and downs of a crazy year, but we won’t be going back for sometime. Our waiter was outstanding and he is one of the best we’ve ever.
Wonderful belated 30th anniversary dinner on the pass on Longboat key. Great food, drink and service. Memorable.
Full restaurant, 5 servers equals a disaster. Took forever and when food came to us or others, it was wrong! Crab legs that weren’t cut, appetizers missing chips that go with since they were out. Terrible for any establishment!
Social distancing was iffy, some staff didn't know how to wear masks appropriately. Been here many, many times; this time crab legs were not cracked for us and had to send back bc they are impossible to crack ourselves. Service was a bit off, I think they took too many reservations and not enough staff. Manager did respond right away. Views gorgeous and food still outstanding!
Vent dripping water on the table and my family members. Did not have baked potatoes. Steaks not cooked correctly. Waiter basically ignored my table through most of the evening. Many mistakes made on the entrees/orders and many items had to be sent back to kitchen. Beverages came out at different times...3 drinks came out then 2 more came out almost 5 minutes later, then more came out later...??? We sat for over 20 minutes at the end waiting to order desserts and coffee but waiter never came back. Waiter bragged that the baked potato that was ordered (but that they didn't have) was taken off the bill as if that was a favor to us???? Asparagus was horrible and so were other items. So, overall, service was horrible, food was not good, drinks were not the best, and we had moldy vent water dripping on our head (even after you all moved the tables it was still dripping on my nephew). Talked to the manager after the experience and nothing was done. Way over priced for this kind of experience...really seems as if this restaurant has gone way down hill.
Wonderful restaurant on the water. Everyone enjoyed their food. We would go back again.
Service was slow. Restaurant was not busy. The advertise "Happy Hour" but it's only in the bar lounge area. Once seated for dinner no more happy hour.
For the first time, the SERVICE was very POOR.. We started Ok, wine and salads were delivered, then bottom fell out.. Entrees were set in front of us, server left and no one came back for 15-20 minutes.. So our wine & water glasses were empty and of all the servers and bussers who walked by, not one stopped -- eventually, as I said, after 15-20 minutes, the server arrived - but we were, by then, about done with the meal.. It was very frustrating and turned what should have been an outstanding night into one of sourness.
Our server was waiting tables outside and inside and just had too many people to serve.. Why she didn't ask one of the other servers for help is baffling..
Was VERY disappointed in COVID protocol with staff. Most had no mask, had it below nose or even on their chin, including the Manager. Kitchen was very slow the night we there. If you have concerns about safety, do not go here.
Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. First off, they made us move to patio furniture outside since we wanted happy hour appetizers. Then, the round of drinks we ordered took 25 mins. Our food took 49 minutes, and she forgot to put in our crabcakes AND told us she needed a half hour for the chocolate lava cake. She came back 20 mins later after we were all done eating and brought the crabcakes and blamed the kitchen. We proceeded to order another round of drinks since we didn’t even have water to drink at this point. These drinks took 44 minutes. Yes you read that correctly. 44 MINUTES! AND my drink was wrong THREE TIMES! I literally had to go to the bar to ask for our drinks and my correct drink. She brought out the wrong drink again. We asked where our lava cake was at this point and it was brought out 26 minutes later. And COLD! I’m in the restaurant business, so I am very empathic towards certain issues, but we were there for 2 hours and 52 minutes for literally appetizers. We are in town from Indiana celebrating a special birthday and it was very upsetting and the birthday wasn’t even acknowledged even though I put it on the reservation AND told our “server”. I had to walk around the restaurant after almost 3 hours to find our server to pay. Her name was Victoria. My sister, the birthday girl, actually walked out in tears. I’ve never in my 30 years on this planet ever experienced such horrible service. She even told us she forgot about us after I went in to ask someone if we were forgotten since we hasn’t seen her in over an hour. No napkins, no appetizer plates, 2 sets of silverware for our 4 people and our table was never sanitizer. We literally ate from our hands. I’m still honestly in shock from how bad this experience actually was. It was the worst birthday dinner ever had and embarrassing to take her there to celebrate.
One of our favorites places
I love this place!!! The food is great, chopped salad, blackened salmon, fresh veggies and delicious mud pie for dessert.
A view of the bay and outdoor seating...you can't beat it!
Celebrated my wife’s birthday here and it was a beautiful restaurant! Great views and would definitely come back!
My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and my birthday. Our server, David, was excellent always checking on us and accommodating our needs. The food was excellent and the restaurant as a whole was perfect for our evening. A definite “must” to go for another one of our occasions.
All of our dishes came out cold. My fish was barley room temperature. I hate to complain about food but this was extremely bad. My fish was then rewarmed and turned into a stone with mushy crumb coating. It was not our finest family night out.
It was very nice.
Excellent restaurant for celebrating a special occasion. Fine dinning, service great and food prepared correctly
Fast service food was hot. Did not have to wait for table. Will go again for sure.
We has a social-distanced anniversary dinner and were seated at a lovely corner window table with a full view of the sunset. Lovely. Our server was professional and very nice. We had a bit of a miscommunication at the beginning, and I’m not sure whose side it was on, but she recovered it very nicely. All in all a beautiful evening. Thank you for celebrating our 54th with us.
Wonderful service and food
Our server David was amazing. He was very professional.
Chart house provides a really nice experience with a beautiful view
Excellent food and service. Restaurant VERY clean and sanitized.
Did not see much of the sunset but we had a table by the window and had a nice view of the entry to the gulf. Great meal and service
Went for our 40th wedding anniversary!!
Sat outdoors, beautiful view!!
Staff went above and beyond to make our outing very special!!!
Food delicious and all staff friendly, courteous and professional!!
Highly recommend for any occasion!!
Overall good experience and hospitality. Steak was over cooked, baby screaming next table over which I understand, we’ve all been there.
When we vacation we always save our last night to go to the Chart House. We have done this twice this summer and frankly have been disappointed each time. If you want to be a 5 Star restaurant you had better start acting like it. The last trip I thought was a anomaly due to the Pandemic, our current trip really ran out of excuses. The service was just ok, martini over 'vermouthed', prime rib over cooked, but the view is spectacular. I say this because I love this restaurant and want it to improve. I also understand the stress of the masks and the pandemic presents. The manager did give us a hand written business card for a complimentary prime rib, who knows if will lose it or not by the next time we decide to go to the restaurant. Make it right the first time, please!
Location is great. Can enjoy beautiful, gulf sunsets from anywhere in the restaurant. The decor of the restaurant is upscale and comfortable. My Shrimp Scampi was very good but just shy of excellent as the shrimp were a bit too small for this dish. My bartender, Eric, was wonderful. He took great care of me and makes a heck of a good martini.
