Chart House Restaurant - Lake Tahoe Ratings and Reviews
Our server was engaging and attentive. Excellent on all fronts. The prices seemed a little excessive considering what/how much you get though. If I’m paying $9 for a cup of clam chowder and $40 for a piece of prime rib, I think the entree should come with more than a small scoop of mashed potatoes. At least a seasonal veggie or a choice of sides. Then again, it’s Tahoe, so I guess that’s to be expected.
Went for our anniversary. Restaurant had menus printed with happy anniversary and date on top of menu. Server was excellent and food was awesome. The server made several recommendations for food choices as well as preparation. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Tahoe.
The Chart House has a beautiful view of the lake and mountain range. Best time is sunset! The food, service and atmosphere are impeccable. We have not had a bad experience or dinner in the 4 years we've been eating there. Happy hour is great way to enjoy girlfriend time with a variety of favorites.
Attended chart house for the 1st time directly after our wedding and absolutely loved it,we have since made it a tradition eating there year after year on our anniversarys!the place has a lot of sentimental value to us and todate is still the best food/service and establishment we have ever attended.thank you to all at the chart house who make our Anniversaries and dining experience so special year and year!
The appetizers were both very delicious and beautifully prepared and served. I was surprised at the perilous parking and lack of valet parking which I am accustomed to at the Portland restaurant. A nice size cocktail with my favorite gin. The signature spinach salad was perfect as always.
My husband and I reserved a table ahead of time on open table. We were able to write a comment, (which was awesome) so i let them know we'd like a seat by the window because it's our 5th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we did not get window seat but our menus said "Happy 5th wedding anniversary" which was so awesome. The chart house also gave us a complimentary dessert because of it :) they did mess up with the food a bit and didn't offer to take the mess up off the bill, instead they offered additional food at no charge. We did not need additional food. Besides That, the food was good and the people were very kind.
The ambiance was seriously degraded due to the music being inappropriately loud not "energetic" as is suggested above. We could not hold a normal conversation. Fine dining should have more appropriate music (if any at all). People go to an establishment like this to enjoy conversation over fine food and wine.
Our service staff was amazing, and the ambience just as wonderful. The mushroom bruschetta was out of this world, and the entrées was just ok. Certainly not worth the price. We will go again and have salad and soup, and dessert. I was very disappointed in the key lime pie...store bought is better and key lime is my favorite. My husband loved the mud pie.
