This was our first time to the Southlake Tahoe restaurant. In years past we had been to chart houses on the West Coast. This restaurant had wonderful staff, amazing food, great service, and lovely aesthetics and view! We will definitely be returning!

My boyfriend and I came to Chart House to celebrate my 30th birthday this past Saturday night and we had such an incredible experience! We made reservations for dinner to begin right before sunset so we could enjoy the view, and I'm so glad that we did. The view was STUNNING! Pictures do not do it justice. We were in awe the entire evening! Aside from the great view, both the service we received and the food was impeccable. Adrian was our server. He was very knowledgeable and attentive! We loved the food. We ordered the crab cake, whipped ricotta meatballs, filet mignon, prime rib with truffle butter, lobster tail, and cheesecake. Our expectations were truly exceeded! We are already looking forward to coming back to Tahoe this winter and eating here again! A little birdy told me the locals love to come here for happy hour also. Seems like a staple of South Lake for visitors and locals!

Our waitress was amazing but they were short staffed and had our waitress doing everything. Bartender, server, waitress, water, for the entire top floor. We felt bad for her.

Attractive restaurant with distant lake views. Food quality adequate. Service rushed, dismissive and condescending! Will not return

My wife and I have eaten at the Chart House on many occasions. We live a short 20-mile ride to the restaurant. We have never had a bad meal or bad service. This particular visit was a gift from our children. As always, the waiter was extremely knowledgeable of the items available on the menu and offer excellent suggestions. We took advantage of the $60 Chart Specials. My wife enjoyed a perfect Prime Rib while I took the Samon and Crab Special. Both meals were cooked to perfection. Specialty Cocktails from the bar were amazing. If you ever visit the Tahoe areal the Chart Hose is a must. Also, the view of the lake is outstanding, day or night, summer or winter!

We ordered 2 Prime ribs done medium rare. They were both very tough to chew. We sent them back and ordered 2 Filet Mignon's. One was meduim and the other was medium Rare. The meduim once a gain was very tough to chew after only 2 bites. I belive the medium steak was cooked too fast in order to come out at the same time making it tough. We did not send it back we just cut our loses and had the lava cake which they threw in for the isuus with the meat. In my oppinion they should have refunded us for the filet mignon that was not eatin instead of paying for a piece of lava cake. Very dissapointing. As for the service, it was poor. Each time they brought us our steaks we had to wait for him to get back with our steak knives. Also, was not paying attention even after being asked for more iced tea.

Reconsider if having a party greater than 5. Seating for large parties is so close together with other large parties that you can not hear or talk with the person next to you comfortably. The waiter had difficulty moving around the table because our chairs were back to back with the other party. Making the experience uncomfortable. The food on the other hand was amazing.
