   The food and presentation felt very “cafeteria” like. The service was not friendly and felt that they were not happy to be there.

   We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day 3-course lunch with a variety of entree options, all well prepared. Our waitperson was outstanding, and made it an even more pleasant experience.

   I’ve been to other Chart Houses around the country and they never disappoint. Tahoe’s is no exception, every course delivered was fantastic, from the ice cold oysters, huge shrimp cocktail and seared ahi, to the sea bass and lobster risotto and lava cake. Wonderful service by Adrian was provided throughout the meal. Can’t wait to go back!

   We experienced a slightly off night at the Chart House. We made early reservations for 5:30 as we had an event to attend at 7:00 pm. We did not realize that this coincided with Happy Hour in the bar where appetizers and drinks are offered at a discount. This is a popular Happy Hour but there was only one bartender for the entire restaurant. As a result, beverage service was very delayed to the rest of the restaurant. Our cocktails arrived after our appetizers and the drinks were incorrectly made based on our order. We opted to not order another round of drinks or wine as we normally would. The bussers were also not well trained. Our oysters were delivered without cocktail forks and he couldn't tell us what kind of oysters we were being served. As cutlery was cleared we did not get a replacement and had to ask. These may seem like nitpicking but having dined there before something was just "off." The food was fantastic, as always, as is the view of The Lake. Our server was friendly but hindered by other staff.

   My trips to Tahoe are not as often so I only get in every year or two. This was the first time I saw a significant decline in the level of service from the wait staff. They had no one on the staff that knew the wines from the wine list. I guess the more expensive restaurants at Stateline are getting the good wait staff. That being said, the food was very very good, and prepared as requested. The sunset was amazing from the window.

    It was our first time dining at the Chart House at Lake Tahoe. The ambience was great due to the view. The food was tasty along with our desserts. The drinks were strong, as they should be. But I really have to issue our server Frankie, superstar status! She made our dining experience better with her great demeanor and attention. The whole experience at the Chart House was just awesome!
